Very buggy

I got paramour plus for the UFC alone. The app is extremely buggy and often they don’t even have ufc fights available after the live event. Or they only upload half. Also when you are watching them it is filled with ads for the app itself. I wish UFC signed a streaming deal with a proper streaming platform not this Mickey Mouse carry on.

This is a terrible app. It fails on every level, from requiring updates that aren’t available, to user experiences that would only be intuitive to a blind dog. I’ve been paying for this app for too long with poor content choices and glitchy interaction. Their recent price increases just made my decision easier

The Very Best

All numbered main events, such as UFC 328, aren’t included in the paramount+ subscription in Australia. You still need to order PPV through Kayo/Foxtel. This should be better detailed to the Australian audience during their ads promoting this deal.

I've encountered multiple issues trying to watch paramount app. It keeps coding with error code -3205 but yet somehow Netflix / Disney / Prime all seem to stream fine without an issue!! Get your app sorted out this has be going on for months, same issues repeatedly.

Good programs

TV app is buggy as. Sometimes can’t forward or skip “next time, or recently on” tv series. Also no continue watching area, you have to find it each time. Which is fairly easy as Th library not huge.

The only thing is downloads. You can download movies but not TV shows. It is low key annoying but to ne honest it doesn’t really matter too much. Can someone please allow downloading TV shows.

Why just Australia?

Bought a subscription to paramount plus after hearing the UFC was being broadcast through this platform from 2026 with all pay per views to be FREE from now on, only to find that this is true for everywhere EXCEPT AUSTRALIA! What a joke. Also even when watching the prelims I continually have to reset the app as it freezes up every 10 minutes. An issue i never had once with my UFC Fight pass which I had for 6 years. Also the amount of live content missed due to the crazy amount of advertising is very frustrating.

Paramount has ruined UFC viewing

This has been the worst streaming experience I’ve had.
I use Paramount+ to watch UFC prelims before buying the main card, and it’s basically unusable. Catch-up gives me a 404 error, and when I try to play individual fights I get a “fatal error” almost every time. This is happening on my TV, phone, and desktop, so it’s clearly not just me.
Even when fights do load, the setup ruins it. The thumbnails and fight durations give away what’s going to happen. If I see an 8-minute fight, I already know it ends early. That completely kills the experience.
During the last event, the Kevin Holland vs Randy Brown fight literally disappeared after I refreshed the page. After dealing with constant errors, I ended up giving up and missed the prelims completely.
I’m paying for this specifically to watch UFC and it just doesn’t work. Really frustrating.

The lag is out of this world.

NO WAY TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION

I tried to cancel my subscription. Through the app it says “to do so in the App Store”. I checked my apps store, there is no subscription of Paramount+. My login for Paramount is the same email as my Apple. I am STILL being charged.
Paramount+ customer services states they cannot cancel or refund as my purchase was made through a “third party”. Yet I cannot cancel through that 3rd party (Apple subscriptions).
Fraudulent. I will be reporting the charges to my bank and reporting Paramount+ to consumer affairs.

SEASON DROPDOWN BUTTON NOT WORKING!!!

I’m on an iphone 15 pro max and for some reason I CANNOT change seasons clicking the season dropdown button. Bought this just for the ufc. Endless issues. Gets stuck running ads, black screen with sound only when watching, constant spooling, terrible UI, hard to search and keep up with watched shows. Garbage app.
Instead of addressing my concern, the dev reached out and suggested I contact support. That’s what I did first. I was contacted by over 8 people over the course of 10 emails and most asked me to do the same thing over and over again and refused to acknowledge my request to speak to a single person. After 10 emails they stopped replying at all. My issue continues. I still have a year long sub for a product that doesn’t work correctly.
Avoid this product. Less frustrating to just pirate what you’re looking for with service and delivery like this.

I purchased a subscription to paramount plus, downloaded shows to my iPad to watch on the plane, then the app cut off all access at the first transit airport overseas. Paramount has ruined UFC

UFC has always been my favourite sport, and a big part of that passion has come from being able to sit down and watch an entire event from start to finish. Unfortunately, the current format—where replays are only available on a fight-by-fight basis—has significantly diminished that experience. It feels less like watching a live event unfold and more like viewing disconnected highlights, which takes away the anticipation, narrative, and excitement that make UFC events so special. For many fans outside of the United States, watching events live simply isn’t feasible due to time differences. Personally, one of my favourite parts of the week has always been waking up on a Sunday and watching the full card uninterrupted. That experience now feels impossible to recreate. Additionally, the presence of spoilers in thumbnails on the fight selector, along with missing elements such as walkouts and post-fight interviews, further disconnects me from the sport I love. These moments are essential to the atmosphere and storytelling of each event, and their absence leaves the experience feeling incomplete. I’ve never felt so disconnected from UFC, and it’s genuinely disheartening. I care deeply about this sport, which is why I’m taking the time to share this feedback.
In Australia we still have to pay for numbered events. This means we spend big money on the big fights and fight nights are ruined - nothing good has come from this.

Terrible transition to hosting UFC

The transition to hosting the UFC has been nothing short of amateur. Cutting off walkouts, in between rounds, and favour of advertisements. Constant audio issues constant black screen or Paramount screen issues. UFC will lose a lot of viewers if Paramount keeps this up. Pick up your game!

The most frustrating app

Love the shows and things on paramount but god does this app make it difficult to watch them! It never lists anywhere the current things im watching to continue on where i left off like every other streaming app. I have to search for the show each time manually. When I do find my show, most of the time its not saved were I’ve left off so I have a ten minute guessing game of which episode and how far through was I. Finally, the volume randomly turns itself off. Sometimes you’ll be watching all fine and suddenly no sound, but of course the ad sounds still work during that time 🤪. Really frustrating. Lots of bugs they need to iron out.

iOS 16

This app was great on my iPhone 7 Plus working in comparison to iOS 15.8.7 but now that it requires an update to iOS 16 that the apple company has yet to release on the older devices of there apple products sadly this app no longer opens for me

Misleading marketing.

I am absolutely fuming. Paramount+ has pulled the ultimate bait and switch on Australian fans. They spent weeks relentlessly advertising that they are the 'New Home of UFC' in Australia, even plastering the latest numbered event all over their homepage and the App Store to lure in subscribers.
But the second you pay for a subscription and log in, the main card is nowhere to be found. It is a total scam. They lure you in with the promise of the biggest fights, but then hide the fact that in Australia, they only have the rights to the prelims.
It is incredibly deceptive to use main card imagery to sell subscriptions when they know they can’t stream that content on their app here. This is predatory marketing at its worst. I feel completely ripped off. Save your money don't subscribe to a service that pretends to host fights they don't actually let you stream.

This wicked company should be glad it’s my dad paying for NCIS otherwise I would unsubscribe

Literally only use this service for South Park, and every time I open the app, South Park shows up in my continue watching section on the latest episode, not on the episode that I was watching. So every time I have to click into the show and scroll through its 28 seasons to find the episode where I was halfway through last time I was watching. Let’s hope the next update fixes it because I’m going to be forced to download it, which is a circumvention of my deliberate deactivation of automatic app updates.
Update: Paramount has $100 billion to acquire another company but can’t fix Continue Watching or pay real humans to address to these reviews in a timely manner. Great app. Great company.

I love it, but it could be better.

I love using this app and I love watching series shows and movies but the one issue I have is when I’ve tried watching Paramount+ on my TV, which is connected through this app on my phone yet it has locked me out and when I’ve requested to get my password reset it takes nearly 6 months for me to get the email that will allow me to reset my password and I’m quite disappointed and I’m not able to reset my password because I would really love to watch South Park on my TV instead of my phone.

The content and what it provides is good but the app itself is terrible - I use it on a PlayStation and chrome cast, the app has now forgotten a series that is 20 seasons where I am up to season 5 so now it doesn’t come up in my recently watched or remember the episode I was up to season- this has happened for 2 shows now. You start watching it again but it again does not show up in your viewing history so you have to rely on your memory of where you were upto. It’s also annoying that I watch all shows with captions and there is no setting feature to set this as standard, you have to do it for each and every show. Please fix the app and the viewing issues!
Edit** don’t ask me to contact customer service. Fix the issue with app updates so others don’t experience this.

Absolutely awful experience

I only signed up so I could watch Yellowjackets season 2. I signed in to paramount on my Google chrome. It crashes approximately every 20 minutes and shows an error message, and then it doesn’t keep my place and goes back to the start of the episode when I reload it and sometimes it goes to a completely different episode! This doesn’t happen with any of my other subscriptions. It’s only paramount that malfunctions like this, so I know it’s not my setup that’s causing it. I only gave two stars because it’s the only one that has Yellowjackets season 2! Otherwise it would be 1 or zero. Will be cancelling as soon as another platform gets yellowjackets or as soon as season 3 is finished. Can’t believe I’m actually paying for this. It’s terrible and a complete waste of money unless there’s a specific show or movie that they have that no other platform does.

Fed up with no help from support.

Really fed up with trying to get help. Reported to support but no one is helping. I buy a monthly subscription on and off. Wanted to catch up on the latest season of the FBI series. Keeps coming up with a message that I’m using a VPN but only comes on when I want to watch the FBI shows. Can watch all my others shows like the Tulsa King etc and have no problems. Have rebooted wifi. Deleted the App and signed back in. Sent screenshots to support showing VPN is NOT connected but still not able to get any help. Last night I finally watched an episode from each FBI series with no problems but today I’m back to being blocked from watching the episodes with the VPN message. FIX THE PROBLEM.

UI BORDERING ON USEABLE

Terrible UI and constant stuttering or buffering,regret buying the year even if half price, will probably stop using its too annoying watching that buffering icon keep popping up. You turn to their support and all they suggest is signing out of other devices despite their selling point being you can be signed in on multiple devices, or attempt to blame your internet speed or connection, despite being fast and not having any other issues with other streaming service services. Just look at other reviews and information online(as I should have), clearly an issue there and has been since launching over 2 yrs ago, that developers refuse to acknowledge let alone deal with.

Problematic app!

Has good content including domestic and international soccer however I've never been able to watch directly on my smart tv, PC or now iMac. Can only ever watch via ipad or iphone then stream to tv via Google Play. Try to change passwords which then restricts me to now only being able to watch on iPad as it won't accept my login via Apple saying I don't have access even though my monthly payment was deducted yesterday. I've now cancelled my subscription which will conclude on 7 May, then I will rejoin directly to Paramount, ie not via Apple, to see if that improves the situation as I want to be watch the soccer games they provide.

OK content, poor UI… terrible for football highlights

Downloaded the app to watch some of their exclusives, which were good - but the app itself is poor. Connection with external devices like AirPods and Chromecast was buggy - and the app often (but not always) doesn’t track or mark what you’ve watched. So you can’t pick up where you left off, either within an episode or a whole series. This might be related to the Chromecast integration but it’s an essential for a streaming app. UPDATE: downgraded to 1 star from 2, because now I’ve tried their sports coverage! Yikes. Clearly not a priority for Paramount, and not delivered in a way that football fans expect. The highlights packages from the FA Cup are not cut from the actual match coverage — they are lifted straight out of the post-match coverage. So you don’t get any sense of the live reaction from the commentators; you DO get spoilers for what’s ahead… AND the package *starts* with a SHOT OF THE SCOREBOARD from the end of the game. Seriously. No suspense in viewing, no craft or care in production. Oh and also, on my Samsung TV, it asks for parental control PIN before showing *football highlights*. Why would this be the default? No other app does this.

Audio doesn’t sync!

Audio doesn’t sync to the video, about a 5 second delay. Shouldn’t happen when you’re paying top dollar for a streaming platform. Tried to contact support but “no one available”. Seems to be an ongoing issue on the platform with others saying the same in reviews, reddit, google threads etc some from as long as 2 years ago! How is this not fixed? My issue is with Yellow Jackets S2, watched S1 fine on Netflix! May just have to wait for S2 to be available there as I’ve done everything to fix it (update app, update phone, sign in/sign out, delete and reinstall app) and doesn’t work. Partner tried the same thing and audio didn’t sync for him either on his device!

Problems with downloads

Mostly this app works well - but sometimes I just can’t get a show to work on it for a bit, will play something else, and come back to the first show and it works ok. But my biggest frustration is trying to watch downloaded shows. When I am travelling and know I will have no data I often download shows to watch. Every other app plays downloaded shows with no problems. But this app just gives me the buffering spinning wheel of death and plays nothing. I don’t get it - it says the show is downloaded so it should play easily. But on both my phone and ipad it doesn’t work to play the downloaded shows. Annoying!

Geo restricted nightmare

I got a free trial for the plane trip over seas and found out that it’s geo restricted which is fine, although a bit frustrating I understand that most streaming services do this and I understand why.
However the problem is that you cannot get into your account if you are over seas and therefore cannot cancel it… I’m paying for something that I can’t access based on my location, and I can’t cancel.
Get it together guys! Surely no one checked this when setting up the geo blocker? Not sure if you’re amateurs or greedy or both

Love the content, but please fix the bugs!

So many bugs - subtitles that are off when the setting is on and vice versa, subtitles that suddenly move out of sync with the visuals, lack of synchronization between devices of what has been seen and where you are up to in a series, random crashes when downloading episodes for off line viewing, shows that start playing but the screen just stays black, skip recap buttons that don’t respond, start next show buttons that don’t respond, VERY difficult to simply restart a show you were just watching…
These bugs have all been found after using the app only a few weeks - I can’t believe it is that hard to find and fix these issues in an app that is beyond version 14!

Some small things needing to be fixed

For the most part I quite like this app, there is a reasonable amount of content. Unlike other streamers this one doesn’t stop after three episodes, it’ll just keep playing and I love that.
Trying to rewind in an episode is frustrating, it’ll freeze and then crash almost every time. It drives me up the wall that when I open the app it asks me which profile I want to use - it’s just me, I’m the only user and I pay for the account. It should immediately open to my profile unless I set up another one. My list is often hard to find and I need to scroll down to get to the keep watching list. These should both be up the top.

Broken app, featuring limited content and woke propaganda

1) Numerous times, the app wouldn’t play on my phone. It would cast to devices, but that’s it. Disconnecting Bluetooth and turning off paired devices didn’t even work in the end (fixed it before) and the support page didn’t address this issue. This has been so tedious to deal with. 2) There’s barely anything good on the platform - none of the classic paramount movies — why???? 3) The woke nonsense that’s promoted in a propagandistic way on the platform is annoying. I regret having had the subscription for so long and won’t allow a paramount subscription to continue rolling over in the future unless the platform hosts the classic paramount movies - once I’ve made my way through them, I’ll promptly cancel my subscription again if the app still assaults polite sensibilities with things related to the woke mental illness.

Lagging.

For some reason the words will be heard before the characters are actually speaking, it’s like you hear them talking then see them talking. It happens so regularly that I have to go out of the app, clear it then go back into it. Sometimes It won’t even fix itself and I just get off the app. Currently I’m having issues with episodes dropping out, showing a black screen and not letting me play any episodes after the was that’s having the issue. My payments are all up to date so there should be no reason for my shoes to drop out or buffer while I’m trying to watch them. It’s getting increasingly frustrating. The type of shows paramount plus offers are really great and I love using the app..when it’s actually working. I hope they fix the issue soon, I know that other people are having to deal with the same thing.

Way too little, way too late

I know Australia gets the leftovers of the streaming services, but this has got to be the absolute worst. Netflix and Stan had more content on their respective launches than P+ has a year in. There’s less exclusive content than any other service. 90% of the shockingly few titles are available on other services. The search feature (along with just about everything else) is so clunky and basic that the free streaming services gave better navigation. What finally got me to try it was the fact that they had (HAD) the original twilight zone series. That is, until I subscribed. Within a week, they dump it, along with a bunch of their own original programming, thus proving they’re just another heartless, mindless, gutless American money machine.

Sub-Par

Do you want an app that crashes while downloading? Do you want an app that crashes while playing downloaded vids? Or do you want an app that plays part of a movie/tv series and halfway through it tells you that it can no longer play it or it is not valid for your region? Then Paramount+ is for you!
For such a conglomerate company, you would think that Paramount+ would know the best way to provide a streaming service, I mean really, look at what others do and up the anti, but no, let’s look at what others do and just kind of do something similar but not as good really.
While downloading series (let’s say 40 min episodes) it will take close to 30 mins to download said episode. Now, while downloading the app will crash and not even restart. You physically have to click on the app again to continue downloading, but there in lies the problem, if this happens then during the episode or movie that you have downloaded it digitally scrambles and creates a 5-30 second delay from visual to audio. This means that you see people speaking and 5-30 seconds later you hear what they are saying. The best way to combat this is to completely reset the app and open again. But god forbid you are in a low mobile network because then you won’t have any previously downloaded movies/series. I did find a way (accidentally) to have the phone in flight mode, and it doesn’t take 2-3 mins to load only to tell you there is nothing there, it actually loads your downloaded videos in less than 30 seconds. This doesn’t mean they will play (this is the point it tells you that the region is incorrect {even though you’ve never left the country} or that there is a problem and to ensure you are connected to a strong internet service {if that’s the case, why bother downloading videos at all because I live or work in a part of Australia that doesn’t have internet service}). I believe Paramount+ could have an extremely good service on their hands if only they took care of the little, petty issues that flood this application. I am not rating what shows/movies they have on offer, they’re absolutely fine, I am rating the application on a mobile device (phone or tablet), pick up your game!

Paramount + has all my favourite shows like Santiago of the seas and all my other favourite shows at home or on the go.
I ❤️ Paramount + and the app & I’m very happy to allow tracking for me personally.
The experience has been marvellous, but sometimes things are okay when the home screen changes with the shows & movies, I’m watching, which can a bit different and confusing at first, but you’ll be okay because everything is still very good & because you’ll get use to it.
Sometimes on the Paramount + app you get with some shows or one show that is your favourite, you get automatic voice change over, that I also love.
I love Paramount +, I would recommend Paramount +.
It takes time getting to know Paramount + at first when I first joined Paramount + at mid-April 2022, Sometimes you get the highs & lows but things better when your long time costumer to get to know each other & Paramount + better & become good buddies and always do the right thing, like follow & obey rules for example: NO RECORDING & WATCHING IN UNLICENSED AREAS.
You can choose an annual plan or monthly plan on the Paramount + app, there’s no lock in contracts which is amazing, you can choose which ever plan you want. I chose the annual plan on the Paramount + app & the monthly plan on the Apple TV - Paramount + channel subscription as well, so I can watch my favourite show in Paramount + app or Apple TV app with Paramount +.
I would give Paramount + 10 out of 10 & 5 stars for my review.

Needs a lot of improvement

It’s an ok app. Love the content but it’s slow and there’s no option to download for offline or off grid viewing. Also tries the desktop app, it now has a few issues with the new version of safari. Tried to report online but the contact form is not working either, gives a generic can’t submit error with no indication what the problem is. While great content the app dev department has a lot of work infront of them. My suggestion is make it easy for your customers to report bugs and issues.

Good app but

Great app not too overly priced wonderful choices of tv shows.
The only downfalls are PayPal isn’t a payment option
Sometimes shows play out of order
You can’t really stream to your tv unless you have an Apple TV as there is no option on the app to stream to something such as a google chromecast. Would be great to see that and smart tvs added to the list
Overall the choices are better than what’s available on Netflix and cheaper but the streaming option is a big downfall as I do not want to pay $200+ for an Apple TV

Buggy mess

Downloaded files get corrupted and cant be watched, even if they work theres sections of the download that freeze or glitch the visuals, lip syncing gets thrown off occasionally, and sometimes the screen is straight up black when theres still audio. Sick of companies creating their own seperate streaming service with less and less quality, making you pay for 5+ streaming services just to watch the shows you want to see because they buy the rights to shows, then they cant even make a decent enough app to watch them. This is just another money grab, it would be better if paramount+ never existed and the shows were still on their original streaming services.

iPhone app has real problems

Forget about the content. If you’re using the iPhone app to stream to a TV you’re going to find this extremely irritating. I have tried multiple reboots but the app still freezes after a few minutes. It randomly starts with subtitles, even when not selected, with no way of turning them off. It only starts to stream after you have dismissed the Airplay popup, unlike any other app. The content seems Fiume but if you’re watching A-league and it’s crashing and buffering for half the game, it’s a nightmare. Same with Super Pumped. It could be a good series but the experience of finding out makes it totally frustrating . Just another aussie streaming all that can’t seem you get streaming right. It took Optus five years. This will be dead well before then unless they can fix it.

Good content app needs work

Loving all the content on here, but very disappointed with the app so far…
With all the other streaming apps out there I am very surprised that this one has the glitches/problems that I am seeing…
App often won’t load on first try, videos either won’t load at all or cut off during viewing and won’t continue…
I’ve tried reopening the app and also shutting my phone down completely and nothing helps…
Hope they correct this soon as it’s incredibly frustrating and honestly with all the other services out there it shouldn’t be that hard to get it right by now…

Content is good, the apps on all Platforms is really really bad!

I have had paramount plus for about two weeks now and I have had nothing but problems on all platforms. I have a Samsung smart TV and I can almost never play any videos on the app without having to restart my TV5 or six times. The app on iPad has large issues and a similar problem where it doesn’t load Fraziers and then says that there is an arrow. Phone hasn’t been horrible but I don’t really want to be watching this tiny screen. I looked at reviews and Reddit posts and it seems to be that this hasn’t been fixed for quite awhile. Please do something.
-edit: I have gone through the support avenue link sent, nothing has helped necessarily. I found that if I start to watch an episode on my phone and the. Try to access it on my phone if vice versa it will allow me to watch it on the platform that’s struggling.

Unacceptable show selection for childrens cartoons

Worst streaming service I have ever used. We signed up and installed this on our Apple TV after most of the cartoons our young children watch got moved to Paramount (paw patrol, blaze, dora etc.)
Almost every time a childrens cartoon finishes a season and Paramount chooses a new show, they put on South Park, which is completely inappropriate. We are at the point where we don’t feel safe allowing our children to watch their favourite cartoon shows.
We have tried getting help on this through Paramount support and just keep getting automated replies asking for more details on our account, our OS etc. Not relevant to the issue!
Also uses massive amount of data for streaming, meaning if you have a poor connection you won’t be able to use it, whereas Stan, Netflix, Disney have no issues.

Clunky and glitchy

I have also fed this back through your website: Your app is super glitchy and really just terrible. It’ll speed through parts of tv show so you miss parts. You can wind it back and it’ll do the same thing a few times before it plays like normal. I can turn subtitles on and all of a sudden it’s off again. It should really also be a main setting as I want it on everything I watch. I shouldn’t have to do it every episode on every platform I watch things on. There is no option to multitask on iPhone while watching through your app. Shows I’m currently watching keep disappearing from my currently watching list. Often the buffering spinning ring will just stay on the screen so you have to go out of what you’re watching and back in again to see it properly. The buttons on the screen (play, wind forward/back, scroll forward/back close, subtitles) are often not very responsive. It takes the entire of the credits for the play next episode button to come up, which is too long. If you take an app like Netflix and duplicate it, you will have a good app. But as it is currently, it’s clunky and not user friendly at all. I’ve used it on iPhone, Apple TV and laptop through a browser and they’re all the same.

Constatant glitches

The app is so glitchy! When watching a series it continually plays episodes out of order. It made several shows very confusing until I realised what was happening and several series were spoiled as a result as they really needed to be watched in order (e.g. Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol). There also seems to be an issue if you reopen the app while in the middle of watching something e.g. You watched a show yesterday and stopped it at the the 5 minute mark, you resume watching it today from the same spot and the show continues as normal, you minimise the app or lock your phone, 10 minutes later you open the app to change the volume/read the episode info/whatever and the show will automatically jump back to start playing from the 5 minute mark again - so frustrating! At least they’ve added the feature of being able to create a Watchlist now - why they would ever release an app without the most basic feature in the first place is beyond me.

Not too expensive, limited selection, clunky app

Not a bad selection of shows and movies. This is the only place to find some of the shows my kids love. Hopefully the selection will increase with time.
The app is pretty clunky. I’m used to how smooth and useful other streaming platforms are. This app has some problems that will hopefully be resolved as more updates come out. It sometimes forget where you are up to in a tv show, sometimes starts a new episode with sound and a black screen, I couldn’t find any options to create profiles in app.
For me options to skip opening credits and start the next episode can’t appear soon enough. It takes too long for the next episode option to show up at the end of an episode and currently there is not option to skip opening credits.
Considering the current price per month (approx$9AUD), I think the limited selection and buggy performance is tolerable. Looking forward to updates to the app and expansion to the library.

Right idea, Shocking execution

First of all I do like the list of shows and movies on here, and I’m sure there’s many more great ones to come, but the app is an absolute mess, such a struggle to watch things, trying to cast to a tv is horrible, you go back onto the app and it sends you back many episodes, you can’t select an episode while casting and you can’t skip credits, just a mess. While streaming on my laptop entering full screen does not work either. At the end of the day you need to make your app a carbon copy of Netflix, because Netflix has worked out all the kinks over the years and is seamless, they’ve done the hard work, make it similar to their app.

Paramount paralysed

I’ve had the account since launch the content is about the same as all others but doesn’t match Netflix. My biggest issue is the apps layout and functionality and the biggest issue having no TV app. Instead you need to connect your phone to a smart TV that has Bluetooth or watch it on the computer/phone. I had asked about these issues and was told they are working on it. Today I can’t launch any programs and the continue watching row has disappeared even after fault finding. At this stage I will end the subscription after I’ve watched the content I want and renew once the new seasons appear.

A little disappointed

Firstly would like to say that I very much enjoyed using Paramount+ via the Apple TV App. The process was very smooth and enjoyable plus I could watch on my tv direct from the Apple TV app. However since the switch to the app I am disappointed, the continuity has been lost as well as forcing users to use the app rather than providing an option to use the Apple TV app. The new paramount app is riddled with bugs and issues. I am consistently being logged out and buffering shows (even though I have a 100+ mbps down speed). The main complaint is that if I would like to watch these shows on my tv I must airplay however this isn’t very smooth using this app and for some reason sometimes it logs me out when I go to use AirPlay. Please fix the annoying bugs in the app or allow users to use the Apple TV app.

Useless for sports streams (worst I’ve ever used)

You have no control on what you want to see while watching sport on it. There are no forward or behind or live or pause or play or resolution or connectivity to the TV buttons ANYWHERE while trying to watch sport. You aren’t even able to control where you want to watch from it just shows comes up with the stream from the love point. Day light robbery making people pay $10 a month. Sick of other business’s buying streaming platforms and trying to change what was already fine. Kayo’s system was perfect to watch sport and now you stupid paramount designers just ruin the experience that had no problems to previous ownership. Absolute shambles of a company

The “place to go for Star Trek” has no Star Trek

Advertised as somewhere that Paramount/CBS will have new Star Trek content I happily paid for a subscription only to find that they only have the 2009 Reboot Star Trek, Star Trek: Into Darkness and Star Trek: Prodigy. Prodigy is a fun show but not enough to earn a subscription, I’d forgive this if you put Star Trek: Discovery onto Paramount +. I can forgive making some areas wait till 2022 for it because that’s when the streaming service is released in their country but the fact that I’m paying a subscription for your service but you’re not going to let me watch your show in Australia because you don’t have the App in Europe is a garbage excuse. I’m happy to wait a few days as is apparently the standard Australian tax for show releases but Months in todays instant digital culture is stupid.

Download it in a year!!

Too many issues with this app:
1) no user profiles
2) when you click search, you have to then click again to bring up the on-screen keyboard
3) search a few letters for what you want to find and it will bring it up but you can’t just select it, you have to press enter first whereby it re-loads that list. A second or two of lag but should be zero
4) you have to search the exact thing i.e. I was looking for Dave Thornton but it only shows up by searching Dave and not just Thornton. Why?
5) cbs now owns channel 10 in Australia and their two apps (10play and 10allaccess) already has more than this one and neither replicates the other well enough to merely use a single one out of the three
6) always having to re-scroll after going in and out of a show synopsis
7) can’t search by genre in the search engine
8) there’s no trailers for anything
9) I’ve forgotten any more :/
There’s some good stuff on there but it’s nothing special and certainly not worth paying for another subscription service. There’s too many now as it is!

Great streaming app

Absolutely great streaming app! Has lots of shows and seasons you can’t get on others! I can not think of anything bad to say!! The only thing I would suggest is while your streaming on your phone once you get out of the app you can’t keep watching, some other streaming services use this and I think it is great! I’m sure paramount + will get to this eventually but it would be great! And one more thing! - having some profiles for different users would also be a bonus! But other than that I think this streaming service is great and has a variety of different shows and I love that with the tv shows especially they have a lot more of the recent seasons rathe than having to wait a year or two for more recent seasons to come up!!

Not the best

We got this specifically for the 4yo who loves Paw Patrol and it’s no longer on the other service. Apart from that there’s not a lot that stands out that we want to watch, that we haven’t already seen. One thing I will say on top of all the other issues that have been mentioned like no profiles, no resume, no favourites etc, etc. it’s 2021 and supposedly Paramount, a huge film maker. Have you not heard of Volume Normalisation?? He’ll be watching Paw Patrol at what we set at a comfortable volume, that episode will end and the next one comes on so loud that your ear drums burst and you bleed from the nose. Turn it down before the dead arrive, then that episode ends and the next one starts and it’s so quiet I can hear the mice running around in the crawl space. Is it amateur hour or something.

I don’t regret subscribing

Paramount+ is a streaming service with lots of movies and tv series added, and here are my opinions:
1. Paramount+ allows international viewers to watch shows outside of their country, say you live in Australia and you want to watch the American version of masked singer, you can because it has added international shows (I recommend the American version better :D)
2. This streaming service is add free (when you subscribe) and enhances your experience on the application just like any other streaming service

Fits basic wants of a streaming app

The app is mostly great. Good selection of shows.
However when I return to the app I sometimes find that I cannot see what episode I was just recently watching on the home page, I then have to search for the show and look through the episodes to find what I have watched previously. This isn’t as annoying at the start but when I’m 20 episodes deep and in the 5th series it gets pretty annoying.
I also find that when an episode finishes and I click the “play” box with the countdown to the next episode, the episode starts with only sound and no visual.
I have tried waiting for the countdown to finish itself and automatically play the following episode and half the time it works normally but the other half I only get the sound and no visual. I mainly use this steaming app on my iPhone, I thought it may be my device , but my phone is a newer model and I’m fully updated in all software so I don’t think it’s an issue on my end.
I do also wish that the app on the iPhone had a “small box” option. I believe this is called “picture in picture” . When I watch Disney+ I am able to have the “small screen” in the corner of my screen and am able to use other applications. This is more of a want that a need but something to think about. I find this more annoying than I should.
I do use this app on my iPhone and on Telstra tv, I find both these issues on both devices. Other than that the app is good.

Paramount miss the mark big time

Don’t listen to these positive reviews they have clearly been paid by Paramount.
There is so many things wrong with this app and coming from a power house like Paramount it’s almost unacceptable.
-You can not create individual profiles
-You can not skip recaps
-You can not watch Picture in Picture
-You can not preview
-You can not watch a trailer
This and so much more is all just not good enough, considering how long they had to get it right, somebody needs to be fired… and then when you take into account it’s actually just the 10 Play app but resigned and relaunched yet they still couldn’t get it right.
I potentially may have forgiven some of the blatant errors, even though this far into the streaming wars, they had more than enough time to make this app a game changer and a real competitor against the others that already dominate the market, especially with such a large content library in their back pocket.
But what I will not forgive is the slap in the face to fans and not respecting your archived content…One of the many examples is with some of the original programs that got you here in the first place and still flow the bank accounts with syndication revenue.
Changing the theme song of the original Charmed television series because you will not pay the rights anymore, is one of the biggest insults to fans of that generation, All because you no longer want to pay the licensing fees for a song, not just any song mind you, it’s the actual theme tune to the entire series (what an absolute middle finger to everyone that watches it, fans from the past and present)
In summary, clunky mechanics, terrible execution, missing more features then you can count and all with the bird flipped to the customers, the content, the fans and the new consumers (if any)
I’m just glad they managed to get one thing right with the app…Giving a 7 day free trial

Takes over 2GB in just 20 minutes

Unless you have unlimited Internet you won’t be able to afford this it takes over 2GB for just one 20 minute episode of ridiculousness where as on other streaming services you can watch a whole movie and it will take just over 1GB, I’ve emailed them and asked how to change the quality settings or the data settings so it doesn’t chew up all my data but they just said no we don’t have that feature, which is weird because all the other streaming services like Disney+, binge , Netflix you can put it on HD, standard or on low data save, most people don’t have unlimited Internet so they are going to lose a lot of customers because of this if they just put in this one simple feature that every other streaming services has they would get a lot more customers because most people are realising this and unsubscribing after the free trial because it’s too expensive to watch it costs too much data, not worth it just stick to your other streaming services that allow you to save your data.
I would appreciate a response from the developers to know whether or not this feature will be added otherwise I’m never going to subscribe again

Great But Needs Improvement

I’m so pleased that Paramount+ has to Australia much sooner than expected.
I grew up with Nickelodeon so I was keen on seeing the new iCarly reboot (which is actually pretty good btw), as well as all the other nostalgic Nick shows, especially those on streaming for the first time, like Danny Phantom.
However, the app needs some improvement. I know it’s only just been released so they’ll improve it over time. But I’d like to make some suggestions, like:
- A Watch List
Nearly every streaming service has a place where viewers can collect all the shows they wanna watch.
- Picture-In-Picture Mode:
Viewers always love to do things on the same device they’re watching on, including me.
- Please add Nick sitcoms, Victorious, and especially Drake & Josh:
They’re both Nickelodeon shows and both created by Dan Schneider, who made iCarly, so I don’t understand why they’re not on there, when every other Nickelodeon show under the blinking sun is on there.
Again, great app, but please consider my suggestions 🙂

Better then most other streaming places

I absolutely love Paramount+ I don’t usually do reviews but I knew after looking at everything there is to watch I need to give it a review. There’s a lot of shows and movies I love but can’t find anywhere like See Dad Run, Best In Show, Big Time Rush, Nightmare On Elm Street and much more. Their original and exclusive shows are good as well, I’m in love with the iCarly reboot and can’t wait to see more of it, Why Women Kill is so interesting as well, I hope their originals and exclusives will always be as good as they are now unlike most streaming places who’s originals just get worser the more that they come out. Paramount+ came at the perfect time in Australia as well since most states are going into lockdown and streaming places like Netflix and Stan don’t have a lot of interesting stuff anymore and Paramount+ has SO MUCH. Can’t wait to see what they make and add in the future!

Things that can be improved

The app Paramount is an amazing app but there are a few things that can be improved. The first reason is the app goes black every second episode. I have to go out of the app close all of my apps and go back in. Another reason is when I click the pause button it takes me 5 -10 times before it pauses. I like how the app has different types of shows like funny and scary and also how it shows you kids favourite show. Very good quality shows and I like how all types of kids and adults can watch no matter how old or young they are. But over all I love Paramount.👌😀

Two suggestions for Paramount+

Suggestion #1 - Add Picture-in-Picture mode to the app:
Paramount+ is one of the very few streaming services that hasn’t implemented Picture-in-Picture (PiP) into it’s app. If they continue to not add it, then soon enough, it will be the ONLY one left behind on it. Paramount, please add it ASAP…
Suggestion #2 - Add Beavis and Butthead to the Australian platform:
I live in Australia and when I saw that Paramount+ had Beavis and Butthead in the US, I couldn’t wait to see the platform release in Australia so that I would be able to watch it. Once it released, I signed up and searched for ‘Beavis and Butthead’, but it didn’t have it; I was disappointed. Can I just say, that:
1 - You own the rights to this show. You can do anything you want with it, and
2 - No streaming service already existing in Australia has Beavis and Butthead.
If you are able to add it to the list of shows, I will be happy and WILL continue to pay for Paramount+.
Paramount, I hope you are reading this and will take action upon it. And if you made it this far and reply to my review, I respect you.

Substandard

Typical US company treating the Australian market with contempt and as an afterthought. Hardly any Australian content. Takes two days to put up ten shows (when they go up immediately after broadcast on 10). No ability to create user profiles. No sport at all at this stage. Only a few showtime series, and missing big ones like billions (despite owning paramount owning the series). A very anaemic sitcom selection. No integration of 10s live TV (like cbs is in states version). A very odd decision to include CBSN USA news feed in the Australian App (yet again, zero investment in Australian journalism). The fragmentation of TV right is likely at its high water mark now. Someone is going to have to consolidate, this is barely better than 10 all access. Will be annoying to have to get this to watch A league in a couple of months, I will just put up with the ads on 10play between now and then (as it has the content I’d want here, and has it 24 hours earlier).
