Hot Slide is honestly one of the most fun and addictive drifting games I have played on mobile in a long time. The core sliding mechanics feel smooth and responsive, the cars have real weight and personality when you drift them, and nailing a perfect run on tracks like Factory or Oasis just hits different. It already has a really solid foundation with the garage upgrades, parts system, and live duels against other players that makes it stand out from a lot of other racing apps.
But here is the honest truth. This game is sitting right on top of a goldmine and it feels like it is only halfway to becoming something huge. If the developers treat it like the hit it could easily be they would make serious money because the potential is staring everyone right in the face. Right now it is good, but with one big major update it could turn into a must play title that explodes in popularity the same way the best drifting and racing games have done. The player base would grow fast, creators would be posting clips everywhere, and the revenue would follow naturally.
What would take it to the next level is adding a ton more new cars on a regular schedule, maybe every month or two, across all the classes plus maybe even a brand new category. Players love collecting and testing out fresh rides so keep feeding that hunger. Customization needs a serious glow up too because the current livery options are nice but pretty basic. Give us full body kits, aftermarket parts that actually change how the car looks and performs, neon lights, exhaust flames, wheel camber, window tints, hood scoops, and a proper vinyl and decal editor. Even better would be throwing in some AI powered livery generation where you just type a description like cyberpunk samurai dragon and it spits out pro level designs you can tweak and share. Let the community vote on and download the best ones so the coolest creations go viral on social media.
Another huge thing would be fixing the AI by taking out the filler bots in normal races and replacing them with much smarter opponents or real players whenever possible. Then add a dedicated training ground or drift academy mode where you can practice against adjustable bots on easy, medium, hard, or expert difficulty. Throw in ghost car replays of the top leaderboard runs, slow motion breakdown of your drifts, and fun challenges like perfect ten drifts in a row or beating a specific ghost time. That would help new players learn fast and cut down on the frustration while letting veterans sharpen their skills even more.
On top of that the game could use way more ways to stay hooked long term. Throw in a bunch of brand new maps on the regular and make the tracks longer so races feel more epic with bigger straights, tighter technical sections, and more room to really open up those slides. Then give us a proper four lane race mode packed with tons of players all battling it out at once like a real multiplayer free for all. The gambling on races is already really fun too so you should add a system where you and your mates can place bets on each other in friendly races. Setting up drag cars for proper drag races would be awesome too and even roll racing would be epic. Add a proper ranking system too where you have to play a bunch of matches and hit a certain level before you unlock ranked mode so the higher you climb the fewer bots you face and the more real players you race against. Seasonal events, weekly tournaments, clan or guild systems so friends can team up, user voted new tracks, and easy replay sharing with special leaderboards for the best drift score or most stylish run would be awesome too. Make sure free to play players still get decent rewards for grinding so everyone feels like they are progressing no matter how they play.
The bones of something special are already here with the addictive drifting, the variety of cars, and the competitive duels. One solid Hot Slide update that brings in fresh cars, next level customization with AI tools, a proper training academy, longer and brand new maps, that big four lane multiplayer chaos, friend betting on races, drag cars with roll racing, a ranking system that unlocks real player matches, and smarter matchmaking would turn this into a game millions of people cannot put down. Dev team you have built something really cool already. Now give it the big love it deserves and watch it take off. I will be right here sliding even harder the day that update drops. This easily becomes a five star game with those changes. You have got this. Fire it up. ššØ

Hot Slideās biggest flaw
Iāve just started playing this game in the year ā26 and I liked it so much I even roped my boyfriend into it and we always play it at the same time and both enjoy it a lot, if only we could actually play together! There are a few problems with Hot Slide like any other game but the one thing that confuses me is that although you can play online with other people around the world you canāt actually 1v1 your friends that you added on the gameā¦ it seems like something that would be achievable for the creators and it would make the game easier to share with others and more fun in the long run. I donāt see why not, itās already a great mobile game but being able to race (and maybe even trade) with people you know would be awesome! I love all the drifting, racing, and car collecting but i know iāll get tired of the same old and eventually stop playing if i canāt have fun in multiplayer

Maps are badly designed.
Maps bring it down a lot. Too unintuitive, random and hard to follow, especially off-road maps and the street map. Short cuts are gimmicky. Game would be much better with real tracks, road markings and signs so we can actually focus on drifting and strategy rather than relying on memorisation. A fun map is like Mt Hairpin, just clean roads.

A good game ruined by micro transactions
First installing and playing this game was honestly a real blast, the drift mechanics are smooth and intuitive, and itās fun as hell, but as you climb ranks you start to see how micro transactions run the high elo competitive side. You tend to rank up too quickly based on raw skill, and then skilless players will drop money on pay to win cars and wipe the floor with you no matter how fast your lines are compared to their lack of control. Instead of being rewarded on good racing youāre rewarded on how much money you shill out. Furthermore one broken car is all you need to win most tracks. A simple class system could easily remove this issue by putting A rank to A rank, S rank to S rank, and matching levels to levels, as opposed to randomly being put against an S 23 car as someone driving an A17 car. To fix the one car fits all you can make class specific races for each (street, muscle, super, offroad) to fix this lack of care for players who just enjoy the game.

Feels Great! Nice Aesthetic
Hot Slide have really nailed the feeling of drifting. Leaning towards a more arcade style drift (Think need for speed), that really matches the top down, tilt-shifted view from the player.
Appreciate the responsiveness and fast menu systems. Theres hardly any down time between matches so much so itās quite easy to develop an unhealthy time sink.
What stands out is how fun it feels to play this game. Loves it!

My only issue is the VERY EVIDENT race paths that force your car in a certain direction/path on some corners or wider tracks. Itās predetermined and makes you get stuck. FIX IT

The new update
I love the game, played it daily, and after the new update began to play more, I found it more fun to drive and like the new modification system, but removing the shop snd making it harder to get gems, really slows down the progress, once you complete the āsolo challengeā there is no real way to get consistent gems and keep improving, relying on the main tasks, which rely on improvement, which you cant do without opening expensive packs, which you need gems for, gems that you cant get.
Im still playing daily but the new system feels like its trying to be a grindy mmo type of system, but it is just unmotivating and tiring.

Fix this
I just reached bronze league in hot slides and I was excited to finally have the legendary cars. Then when I tried to open the crate or whatever it is called to continue playing it said I needed an internet connection to open it, Iām clearly connected to the internet as I was playing all of this time without any problems. So I decided to re-download the game as I thought it would maybe solve my issue, but as it turns out it reset all of my progress. I spent a decent amount of money on the game to max all of my cars and parts. I really like the game but this is ridiculous, I will not be regrinding to reach where I was before and the only way I will be playing again is if my account is returned to normal. Devs fix your game.

I have a brand new iPhone and for some reason it said I had a jail token device. Iām locked out of your game I was able to play a couple of races before I was notified. Please help. Device isnāt jailbroken. Iām happy to take a screen shot. The fact that Iām running version 15.6.1 which jailbreaking isnāt even compatible on should tell you enough.

Pay to win, but fun
I really enjoy playing this game but it seems that losing a match comes down to my opponent having a speed boost at the start because of a skin that they bought, which has me stuck between marlin and fox ranks. Iām sure Iām not the only one who has this issue with opponents and Iād like to see boost come to the free to play users.

Good game but buggy at times
The game is easy and thoroughly enjoyable but during drift competitions or racing it would not respond and have me stuck perpendicular to the wall.
More recently, it wonāt go past the load screen if I win a race so Iād have to restart the game and it becomes a drag to play and ruins momentum.
If these issues get addressed soon itāll be enjoyable again.

Awesome game, just a simple requestā¦
My sister and I love to play this game all the time, and we love competing against each other in the trophy hunts. But I thought that it would satisfy more of the users by also offering a freeplay mode or infinite-map play or a mode that lets you join with specific people or friends to go head-on. I just thought this would be a good idea as practice for the users and would honestly for me make the game a whole lot more fun. Again this is just a request, but a lot of my friends that have also gotten the game said they wanted this kind of free-play stuff too, to practice and compare cars and how they perform. Apart from that, Thankyou for this awesome game, love it heaps, please consider these ideas, me and many others would love to see this come to life :).

Good game but...
This game is great, absolutely love it. However I think there needs to be a speed penalty when driving through sand and water like there is when you drive through snow. Itās a real kick in the guts when you drift every corner on the road perfectly only to get beaten by some dude drifting through the water and sand in a street car :(

Great for the first day
The first day of play is super fun, nothing too hard and you steadily progress. However after you reach level 1500+ it stagnates, the players are not real time and you are just versing ghosts. For example if you hit a car and slow it down it will accelerate very fast and push you off the road to get to where it should be according to the run through itās replaying. Youāre not versing real players. Furthermore if you consistently get high rankings (top 10) it will stonewall your rank ups with very high losses (-75 trophies) and cars that are multiple levels above you.
The time challenges with other players are quite fun but easily ruined by people pulling +20 seconds and not even attempting to get a better time.
LASTLY. You must pay for cars that have boost, you can literally pay for a two second advantage.
Itās a fun game that is ruined by silly mechanics and pay to win features.

The game is a fun way to kill time but having to close your game after a race because you donāt want to wait 1 full min of an unskippable ad is just downright stupid. I know theyāre trying to monetise the game but they could at least dial it down or look in other areas.

Pretty good dame
This game is really fantastic, albeit a little on the pay to win side but if you just watch some ads to get the free cards for cars, it isnāt that bad. Only two problems I have with this game is that the amount of trophies you lose is a bit too much making it hard to level up and after a few rounds, the controls start messing up and moving around the screen and doesnāt turn as well anymore leading your car to constantly spin out and crash into the sides. Itās only been happening recently though so the game has been great up until recently.

The understeer problem persists and is a problem that needs to be fixed. Also you have to get your thumb position correct or it doesnāt work properly and you lose to the above problem. It be nice if you could have communication directly to the developers

Iām really happy with how this game handles adds, of course ads are needed for income, and even though the game does push adds apon you to progress quicker, at no point are you forced to sit through an add unknowingly

Itās very fun there are lots of cars in the game it takes getting use to at first, but when you know what your doing itās quite fun. lots of cars are sold to fast tho so can you make 5 cars sold of one single car please.

Single Player/Campaign Mode & More uses for Friends
This game is so good! However, it would be nice to be able to play on my own or offline to practice. Also currently friends are not able to do much (I am aware of the new game things). Overall a very good quality game, very fun and cartoon-like graphics and fun unique physics! Would suggest to everyone!

Decent game riddled with ads
So many ads, just so many. Decent game but every single thing you do is really only achievable by watching a 30sec ad to get anything along the way. Interactive trash ads too.
Iād pay for an ad free version of the game but seems like the only paid options are in game currency. Still, if you can spend 20mins watching ads for every 30min session in the game the 10mins of game play are really fun and well thought out, good strategy and good mechanics. Same my phone gets hot and battery worn out streaming trash in between.

Great game but upgrades are way to long to get to in higher levels
Great game and addictive but the rewards for each car to get to the next level is way out of balance. Iām at level 7 on some cars after trying to get the required 200 upgrade points. Takes way too long and Iām losing interest.

This game is exactly what I have been looking for! šCartoonish style, loads of cars, and lots of race tracks. The people who have made this have done an incredible jobš There May be a lot of adds but at least the arenāt shoving in game purchases down your throat. This game has lots of levels and hours of fun drifting. I love playing this game because itās easy to play and can make time FLY by. This is just me being picky but, if there was maybe a story or campaign or something like that this would easily be one of my top favourite games.
By the way my in-game name is: Aussies be like.
And can You make the drift smoke less blinding because when I play the snowy track the smoke looks like exactly like the boulders in the middle of the road, Thanks. ššš

Too many ads
Was a great fun game taking all my casual time, very light game to race for half a minute before you tend to your business, was definitely 5 stars to me. But the most recent update brought too many ads and pop up windows and after races. It might be common for many free games now, but for me I have been playing for too long when it was a clean little fun game.
After all for a game review, it's really fun to play, but just too many pop up ads now.

Not pvp itās bots
Clearly racing against bots only, there is no pvp in this game. It gets VERY repetitive and boring. The snow levels are so unenjoyable because itās hard to tell whatās drivable snow and whatās the border of the track. Make better tracks and give a bit more view of the upcoming corners beforehand. And allow for a bit more customisation of the car mods instead of just plain levels

P2W, Horrid Balance and Annoying Emojis
The gameplay is mostly pay to win and even if you are pay to win the balance is horrible and you often find yourself racing against an identical car that is 3 levels higher than yours just because someone was more pay to win than you. The emojis during race is obstructive and annoying with no option to disable it

Top Tier.
This game is as good as top down racers can get. The game is solid, has a good league system, and while it may seem frustrating, serves to give players competitive matches based on their collection and skill levels. This game also has an amazing community, and support team on their discord, where members are happy to answer questions and give advice to assist people to getting better, faster. All in all, a great game to play if drifting and racing in a competitive way is your idea of fun. 10/10.

Absolute must get!!
I don't usually game on my phone, but this game is awesome! Been playing it non-stop, developers constantly listening to the community and constantly adding stuff, the drifting is fun! The game is stunning! Why not give it a go!!!

Itās a really good game but besides that itās annoying how you lose trophyās once you lose & once you progress further on it becomes pay to win fix this issue or this game will just become boring & become a dead game like all other games

Good and bad
Game all round is great, although there is always a 50/50 chance whether the game will even load..
After the initial loading screen, the game goes to a blank black screen and you can hear the game running in the back ground. This happens majority of the time on my iPhone XS - which is really unfortunate as the game is great otherwise

Enjoyable game
This game is great fun to play in your spare time, or when you feel like getting competitive. Its implementation of mini games is great and fun for everyone, and the only downside of the game would be the difficult in acquiring gems. It's easy enough to acquire crates by just playing, but I find myself bombarded with crates and having to wait ages to open them due to my lack of gems to instantly open them. If there was a feature where you could watch an advertisement for a few gems then I'd fully support that, as it'd reduce the idea that this game is entirely "pay-to-win". Other than that, very enjoyable and shall continue playing. 4/5.

Fun, too bad itās PTW
I enjoy the game but it is clearly pay to win, keeps matching me up with faster higher level cars, impossible to beat unless they make a mistake. Happy to put money into good games but not when it forces you pay if you want to win. Every time I finally upgrade a car it just finds faster opponents. May delete for this reason.

Good fun but pay to win
This is one of the better mobile games Iāve played in a long time. While it is fun it does have one big downside, once you get passed the 3rd league you will realise that you will match against players one or even sometimes 2 tiers ahead of you with level 5 or higher ārareā or āepicā cars which is ridiculous because it makes almost every match un-winnable. I really hope this gets fixed, I also really hope that they add the option to verse your friends from other social media platforms. There is also the occasional bug where you will get stuck on a wall which is extremely frustrating although it doesnāt happen often. I hope that these issues can be fixed.

Really great game!
Hot Slide gives us a bit extra of what to do for a repetitive game, such as trying to score drift points and knock bowling pins to keep us entertained aside from constant PvP matches. Itās such a great mechanic to the game, also for how it has fun little references, such as Takumiās 86 from Initial D. Thereās even a 2v2 mode where you try beating the other teamās scores to win. The controls are very simple, making things a whole lot easier for the player. However, as I further progressed in the game, it slowly started to become pay to win, which is one of the biggest issues in free mobile games. The pay to win system isnāt anywhere near as bad as some other games, but from time to time, you come across people who have Epics or Rares that are buffed to a high level.
Not only that, but with the 2v2 mode, Iām going up against players who are in much higher leagues than I am, making it impossible for me to win. Iām in Shark league and iāll be going up against people who are in Bear or Lion league. It makes things completely unfair and unbalanced.
Despite all this, itās a really fun game. Thatās why I give it a 4 stars and I canāt wait for more things to come.
I have 1 suggestion about leagues that are coming soon. Perhaps implement a Megalodon league and then re-name āShark Leagueā to āGreat White Leagueā? I think it would be really cool to see that :)
