Confusing
The opening times are really confusing, takes you all the way to check out before advising the restaurant is not open. Allows you to choose a delivery time, pay, confirm order, even though the restaurant is not delivering at that time. It’s clunky, hard to navigate, and really not helpful at all. Much easier to call around to restaurants instead!

Messages go missing so quickly
The app seems to work great for customer purchasing, just double check the order before placing- sometimes it doubles up my order!
My issue is with messages from businesses to the customer:
You get a notification, if you’ve set it up to receive them. The message then comes up as a little notice when you open the app but if you don’t open the app as soon as you get the notification there’s no way to retrieve the message. A pretty useless feature for a business if the customer they’re trying to connect with can’t even get the message.
I couldn’t find a way for me to contact Eat Appy to suggest making a change to this feature- hopefully someone sees this review 🤷♀️

Delivery should not be this painful.
Tried to utilise the web version of this service, but unlike every other food delivery service on the planet I had to scour the internet to find out which businesses use Eat Appy, I ended up just giving up and downloading this app.
Unlike its competitors, searching, ordering and paying for food is a slow and clunky process. Installing menus that should be just there, the cart not registering that you’ve ordered more than the minimum, and losing my order when I progressed to checkout. By the end of it I gave up and called the store instead.
I think I’ll stick to Uber Eats, Menulog and Deliveroo.

Worst customer service
Hello everyone,
Please don’t take this service for your business. Last year i got this throgh their agent was insisting that no fee or commission and they charged me $350 for their tablet. i got that, but they charged me 8%. I said it’s ok. But recently during lockdown i have requested to stop taking order for few days, then they directly disconnected my service permanently and took their tablet while i was not at shop. I requested sevral time to give my fee back or bring my tablet back but no response. They just take $350 and take their tablet. Please be careful every one.

After saving the restaurant details there is an error msg that says “ problem loading data please try again” don’t waste your time.

Really badly designed
Looks like someone’s first app. Cursor issues. Can’t cut and paste. Doesn’t return to point after you add someone to your cart. Easier to just use the webpage.

Useless
Placed and order tonight and paid in advance. We waited 25 minutes past our delivery time for nothing to turn up. Phoned the restaurant for them to say they hadn’t received our order. Absolutely useless.

Handy app but there’s no way of seeing when your orders ready, how long it will be, etc. That could be improved.

Clunky & convoluted app
This app is super clunky and very convoluted.
- Icon graphics are blurry and low-res.
- App still not optimised for this generation of iPhones (black bars at top and bottom, Doesn’t I still confidence using when it feels like the app hasn’t been updated since 2014)
- Why do I have to “Install” restaurant apps within an app? Why not just a simple search for the restaurant and then one tap to bring up their menu?
I think a little market research into other food ordering apps would go a mile.
I hope the developers read this! Do something!!!!

Needs cart / order alert 🚨 reminder
To minimise users thinking they’d ordered, best to install a “Place order” alert 🚨 if Cart has been stationary for 2-4 mins. I thought I’d ordered and turned up to pick up but instead it was still in my cart and then waited another 45 minutes.

Didn’t work
Downloaded the app to my iPad. Found the restaurant I was after, checked out the menu, selected the items I wanted to order, entered my details and then nothing. I couldn’t go forward or backward, couldn’t confirm my order, wasn’t sure if the order went through or not. Tried again. Still no confirmation that the order was placed. I rang the restaurant. They didn’t have my order. So I ordered over the phone. Won’t be trying the app again any time soon.

Order submitted but not received by the cafe.
Waste of time and effort. Also redeemed my 500 points. Lucky the lovely cafe owners honoured the $5 discount and they can’t work out why they didn’t receive my order .
