Old App Was Better

Difficult to use. When I delete recordings from SD card they disappear only to return again. The old app worked.

When I try to set recording to 1080p it keeps reverting to 720p

The old app worked. This new app does its best to make the simple things difficult. Very disappointed.

Verissimo 2.0.0 Build 72 - App update August 2020

The latest update has significant problems with the scenes feature. Automation settings from one scene activate in another eg “home” where no automation is set. This results in alerts and action occurring when you are home ... this is really irritating. This was not occurring in the previous app version.

MAJOR ISSUE! Recordings constantly overlap!

One recording is saved and then it records numerous other records at the same time!

The playback lists them without a duration, meaning you are constantly accessing videos you have already seen!

A serious waste of space and time trying to find what you are looking for!

Note to developers: If you can’t stop the stupid overlapping videos issue, at least add a duration to the list of videos in the playback list!

Pretty good but need more features

A very good app but can be improved with features like:

- horizontal orientation instead of only vertical especially for the iPad.

- picture in picture (PiP) again for the iPad so you can monitor while doing something else.

New software version needs work

I’ve enjoyed my enjoyed my D-Link 8000 series, up until now with their new software update 2.0.

Now I’ve lost the ability to tilt and pan the camera and just waiting to see what else isn’t working. If you haven’t updated yet... don’t!

Just awful.

Whoever thought this new app was an improvement or ready for release should lose their job. The entire thing is counterintuitive with a complete lack of explanation for the pointless new concepts like “scenes” that are now introduced. I spent 30 minutes yesterday trying to figure out how to turn my cameras on and off, and while I managed to turn them on after guessing the meaning of the hieroglyphs that you replaced the words with, they are now stuck in privacy mode one I switched the “scene” to “away”. How I long for the days where I could press a single button to enable or disable the cameras.

In the past I was quick to recommend D-Link for an inexpensive home security solution, but no longer. You now have the worst, most counter-intuitive and dysfunctional UI in the industry.

The app is the slowest

I have a bunch of apps installed on my phone and this app easily is the slowest. The new update that rolled out today does not even log me in and says that internet connection is not detected. Gone are the days of 1 min app loads - please up your game DLink.

Buggy and thus almost useless

I use the app to control a smart plug. Besides the very user unfriendly screens, it lacks basic functionality. So, it doesn‘t support different schedules a day. If multiple schedules are setup, just a single works. Besides that, time is displayed wrong in the app. Midday shows as 12am which obviously makes scheduling around it a nightmare.

Slow, not user friendly

Literally, the slowest app Ive ever used. You would think it was running on an iPhone 3G. Takes forever to open, takes forever to move between screens. If I’d used it before buying Dlink products I would have bought something else.

Cant enter WiFi password to complete setup!!!

Keyboard doesn’t pop up to enter my WiFi password on iPhone XS Max iOS 13.5.1 - can’t complete setup to start using camera. So dang annoying. What a frustrating glitch in your app!!!

Slow to run, not intuitive

Takes long to startup (on a new phone and compared to other apps).

Can’t, for example, turn a device off (or on) every day at a certain time as one action only, e.g., turn on every night at 23:00

Camera good, app bad

The hardware/camera itself is good, but the app is terrible. It is slow to connect or doesn’t connect to the camera at all. When connected, the video feed in the app pauses frequently.

Dlink Camera App

Mydlink App inconsistently connects to camera from an external network, resolved by closing and restarting App. The 5 min limit imposed by accessing the camera from an external network is probably the worst feature requiring the user to repeatedly interact with a dialog box to continue viewing the camera stream. I suggest Dlink makes this configurable in the App so the user can select from 5-15 mins before the continue streaming dialogue box pops up. Overall a great camera. The original version of the app allowed you to adjust the volume of the talk back feature of the DCS8300LH. For

Some unknown reason this control was removed, making the talk back feature next to useless... yes it’s that quiet.

Won’t load/refresh

This app works well sometimes, other times it takes over 30 mins of loading, restarting the app, reloading for it to actually work. It is not a network issue

A good start but needs more features

1) it would be nice if you could combine actions such as, “Turn the smart plug on and then after 15 minutes turn the smart plug off.”

2) it would be nice if the app would not need to sign it to be able to turn things on and off. This adds a few seconds and that is kind of annoying.

3) it would be nice if there was a way to quickly access one trigger from outside the app, perhaps as a widget on iOS. For example, so I can turn everything on without opening the app.

4) Allow customers to customize the one touch triggers.

What the app does do, it does just fine. It would be better if it could do more.

Ok but could have better instructions

The camera seems ok when it works. It does not consistently trigger. I looked online for the manual, which I located - but it is silent on anything to do with the one touch facility, and to date no amount of messing around has allowed me to sort that out. I suspect it’s not working, but who knows?

Piss poor

Frustrating , worked for half a day and the 8300lh gives 95 ( actual count ) on line off line postings , can’t view it remotely . I also note that slink has stooped support for 933 but not the 922 . Going to return it if I can , I have no trouble with Ring , they work consistently and reliably . How do I do a refund ?

My 2 camera’s didn’t work since January 2020. It keep asking to update firmware and can’t connect to the internet. What happened? Please fix it ASAP !!!

Ditch the fancy start up screen and just fix it!!

Extremely slow to load- if it loads at all. Forget switching from camera to camera. App requires complete shut down before re-launching. Overall, very clunky. 'No-name' brand apps perform much better.

Mini WiFi don’t always obey schedule

I have 6 mini wifi plugs DSP-118, I have set up a schedule to turn the plugs on and off at defined times. This plugs do not always turn on. Very disappointed in this lack of reliability.

Awful!

Hopeless app. Makes the camera useless unfortunately. It can take several minutes to load, and 50% of the time doesn’t load at all without closing it down and opening it again several times. It also generally freezes when trying to switch between cameras, and requires re-opening if you try to look at something else on your iPhone/iPad and then flick back to the app.

This is all despite me having high speed wireless internet.

Have been trying to use this as a baby monitor for our two children but it’s more hassle than it’s worth. And have tried to get support but the instructions in response via email are impossible to understand. So frustrating.

Can’t Connect

On my iPhone 11 Pro Max, I am unable to connect to the wifi plug. It connects to the plugs wifi SSID but then in the app it says it can’t connect as it’s already connected to another network. If this is a bug, it’s terminal as I will be returning the items to the store today.
