Back in control of my hearing

Crowd noise
Settlings don’t help much in areas such as a restaurant or areas where there is a lot of people. Wind often creates a problem. Most of the time, in general situations, the hearing aides are terrific.

Best hearing aides
I am delighted with my new hearing aides. They are so comfortable, that I hardly know I have them in. Sometimes I go to bed and realise that I haven’t taken them out for the night, so have to get up and go to bathroom where I keep them and take them out. Also I can wear them comfortably in a crowded shopping centre without them being too loud or noisy. They are also very easy to put in and take out. I wish I had these years ago.

Having this app has helped with my hearing aids a lot as without them I don’t know whether or not they’re of equal levels, and other things like how much time they’ve been on for and the battery level. It’s a great help.

Quite often the hearing aides will disconnect during a call. Sometimes the app is unable to connect with the hearing aides when I am checking in the evening.

My hearing aids can pick up all the house creaking noises , fridges starting, footsteps on the road, TV viewing as the volume is enhanced but the best is the connection with the phone.
The downside is they won’t pick up low level sounds, especially when my wife talks to me or a shop assistant asks me questions.

Functional but has issue reconnecting
Have to force-quit the app every morning as it does not reconnect automatically when the hearing aid is switched on.
For more context, I charge the hearing aid and then switch it off when fully charged so that it’s not drawing phantom power overnight.
It will then not reconnect to the app unless I close it and reopen.

No fuss comfortable to wear. The staff at Earlville store cairns so professional but caring , understand and patient.

It has taken me a while to get my head around the hearing aids plus the app I have learned that to become efficient, one has to be very persistent with wearing and adding to one’s knowledge. consistency is a key to being successful. Seems to me that we should have been told initially that the brain had to learn as much as the mind ….Colin from Bathurst. JAN 2024. When I have them , it is beautiful, but when I have trouble with filter supply, well it isn’t too good, this is happening more than I bargained for., I am happy to buy a longer supply. I tend to need new filters around 10 day or more often at times, lately it is a must to change them weekly.

The best thing I have done
Love them, I love that I can hear my phone calls through the ear piece and don’t have to put my mobile phone to my ear, I play music through my hearing aid when I’m out myself.

Amplifon is so Easy to Use
I have had my Amplifon devices for a month and am really happy with all aspects of my new hearing. I find the app on my phone to be particularly useful and so easy to use.

Overall good
The app is overall not bad. The only problem I have is when I pull them from the charger and put them in my ears the app says I have had them in my ears already for 2 hrs.

Would not of purchased the aids without the app suggestion make the app and all the extras available with all your hearing aids you will sell more marketing smart marketing is what is called for I sold a certain product for a living i made it cheaper than any other product equal with it went from half a tone per month to 3 ton per month this is the old lie just because it’s cheaper consumers won’t buy it rubbish my sales went through the roof as did my profit margin as I said to you after two weeks trial I was sold on the aid purely and simply because of the app so do what you like with this I can just hear in the boardroom now we’ll we will not be going down that path 7 out of ten will not purchase the aids because of price and the bad publicity from people in the market place get people out there to test the market you will find like I did most people say they don’t work that was my answer to the lady who asked me what I knew about the aids it was only because a friend of mine took the the two week trial and shared with me that it was an improvement for him and by the way I had already cancelled my trial but I went back and proceeded with it as a company you need to get people as grass roots level maybe just maybe you will discover a strategy that works

Review of Geoff Pritchard’s hearing aids
I am very pleased with my new hearing aids for both ears that I purchased from Amplifon earlier this year.
They are certainly better than the previous one that that I had for just my left ear only.
I will discuss any issues that I may have when I next call in to the new Amplifon office in Westfield at Hurstville.

Overall an excellent product.
My hearing aids are Ampli-Energy R4 (ON) powered by Resound. I love them. The solid earpieces are a great improvement on the old flexible ones. These aids act immediately with a phone call. So far there has been no need to re-pair them with my phone. I do have 2 small things I need to mention; The leads appear to be a bit short as the aids sit on top of my ears and don’t drop down behind them. Secondly, to use my TV streamer, I need to open the Amplifon app twice to get the symbol to use my streamer. Open the app, close it, and then open it again. Apart from those 2 things, I love them. I put them in at 0900 before walking (so that I can stream the radio) and take them out at about 2330 when it’s bed time. Placid44

I recently upgraded my hearing aids with Amplifon Geelong. It was my first visit to them and I wasn’t aware of their free trial program. I benefited from their 2 week trial and was very impressed with the work and professionalism of Audiologist Kevin. He had such a fantastic approach to his work. Amplifon are lucky to have him representing them in this important sector of health. Thanks for excellent service.

My New Life Hearing
My wife told me that I really needed to do something about my hearing loss five years ago. When we thought about changing our private health cover recently I decided to finally do something and booked an appointment with Bupa Hearing (Amplifon). Drop-outs
Nearly every time I access the app it has dropped out. I don’t know if it is because of my location, but it takes a while to connect again and sometimes requires me to exit and start again. Thanks

The big positive is the ‘Find my Hearing Aids’. This was only discovered yesterday! Also the pairing and especially for TV is a valuable asset and appreciated.
However, the instructions are not as easy to understand as we would like. People who know nothing about hearing aids, how they operate nor how the app. works, need to be trialled. More understandable and user friendly instructions may make it better.
