Such a stupid concept

Wouldn't load the salons, so I couldn't book an appointment. The fact that you have to use an app to go on a queue - not even get a specific time is an utter waste of time.

App no longer gives you the opportunity to check in or see wait times. You can’t even search salons. A waste of time. Don’t bother downloading.

Please update

Please change the check-in screen! You should be able to select single services out of a list of everything offered. I don’t go to the hairdresser to get a cut most of the time. HAVING to select a cut to be able to check in is silly, nor can I select to add a straighten which I always get, so can’t check in through the app.

Can’t select a salon?

App won’t let me choose a salon. I can find directions to one but can’t make an appointment. Why is this an app? Appointment functionality should be a simple web form. Not everything needs to have its own app, and if it does, it should actually work.

Waste of time just go in store

Would give zero stars if that was an option. What a waste of time. Good idea - terrible execution. Filled with glitches - never works. Never hated an app enough to give a bad rating before.

Used to be so good

Used to be so easy to use. Now it doesn’t let you check in most of the time. The timings are no longer even remotely accurate. And every person in the salon agreed. Go back a few versions to when it worked.

Can’t cancel!!

We need to be able to cancel an appointment so we don’t stop the stylists from working to answer a phone call and mess about with the booking system. It’s so basic, why can’t we do that??

Small Query

Hi, just a small issue re check in times, which I might have missed.
When you start to check in, can you first see the waiting time before you submit the request?
Or, if after you’ve been placed in the queue and then realise the waiting time is shorter than your expected travel time, can you cancel or request a later appointment?
I live in South Tuggeranong, where there is no Just Cuts, and it can take me 30 minutes to get to Cooleman Court.
So, if it says 15 minutes, I’ll be late!
Otherwise, very happy with App and the hairdressers: my wife always comments favourably after my beard trim!

Which store???

I selected Mt Omnaney but was booked into Indooroopilly.. and I was physically closer to Mt Ommaney by a huge distance… there were multiple reasons I chose Mt Ommaney.
The text messages don’t even let on that I was redirected to a different franchise.

Easy to use

The app is so easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Literally it’s the same as asking “what’s the wait time at the front desk of the shop”- you don’t have to. As long as you are within range of the store you want to visit, you can see it from where you stand and easily check in online.
For the NT the distance is 30km max. For others it may be between 15-30km, who knows?
Checking online saves you from having to repeat yourself from saying your details again as they just need your name and phone number. Plus you get points for every dollar you spend when you have the app and get a $10 discount voucher once you’ve collected 350 points.
If you check in online and can’t make it to the shop after all, go back to check in part, scroll to the top where the salon is located and tap edit. Then you can tap on the phone symbol and call the salon right away to let them know you would like to cancel and have them remove you from the list.

App Inaccurate

Your App is inaccurate. It said 10 mins until a haircut when I logged on, it is now 30 mins and counting, The Pacific Fair Manager sent two hairdressers on a break whilst we were sitting there waiting, all whilst the manager fiddled around on her phone on the front desk. Can you factor your staff breaks into your app when you open for the day so it's accurate when we log on and the app provides an accurate waiting time?

Does give you any advantage and doesn’t let you remove yourself from the queue. No way to check how long the queue is before you insert yourself in to it. Really just a way to get your details

Good but….

Useful to book in on the way to the shop, but it would be super useful to be able to remove myself from the queue. Several times I’ve checked in at a peak time and needed to go back to work and could only leave my name on the list.

Useless

Joined the queue at 0-10 minutes. Watched it increase. After an hour I left. Kept checking the app and was still in the queue hours later. Never got a message to say I was the next person.

Not able to cancel appointment

Not being able to cancel an appointment is a major oversight. Additionally, twice now I have selected a salon and it booked me into my previous salon which was not correct. And since you can’t delete an appointment I was unable to make another booking.

Woeful UX

Terrible app. I’ve seen apps made by uni students that are better quality. For one, the check in process is so buggy, and the countdown timer doesn’t even work! It’s just stuck on “25-35 minutes”— and then I get a text saying you are approaching the top of the queue! It would be great to know what position I am in the queue. App definitely needs improvements.

App Update Ruined App

This used to be a great app, providing a countdown timer to when my appointment would be ready so I could get other chores done beforehand. Now the countdown timer no longer exists, so I have no idea when my appointment will be ready. The store policy/answering machine service for my usual salon don’t take phone calls and instead say to use the app to know when your appointment will be ready, which in longer does. Given Just Cuts don’t take specific time bookings, your only option is to take a place in the que and visit the salon to get an estimate on wait time and then wait or go back to your chores which is inefficient, disruptive, and a waste of time. I won’t be using Just Cuts anymore unless they bring back the que tracker. Uber and Dominos use trackers in their apps with great success. A shame when a business has a successful model and then destroys it.

Waste of time

Can’t see the point of updating apps to only make the service worse! Check in which is acknowledged by text, but no indication on app for waiting time and no text or notification to say to go to salon! Waited 40 mins for a cut and had to walk away! Going downhill fast, but used to be an efficient service. Needs fixing

App won’t work.

Because Apple stops letting phones update firmware after a certain age of phone, when Just Cuts makes the app incompatible with the older release date of phone, it means any phone that can’t go to the most current software upgrade can’t use the app even if they had previously had a version that worked before on the phone.

Worst app ever

This app is a joke. You can’t even register an account to have haircut on the same day if there is a wait time or even if the store is not open. Great way to run a business.

Needs to display a wait time countdown.

This app really needs a countdown to keep track of time and helps you get there on time. Although, even when you get there on time, there is still a wait, but what happens if you didn’t get there on time - does your checkin get cancelled? Just read another review about a countdown from 4years ago, so it seems like the app developer and Just Cuts don’t really care.

Don’t use the app or you’ll waste your time and data

I didn’t read the reviews here before I made a booking online so I ended up waiting 30 mins in front of the shop expecting they would call my name eventually, then I realised the shop ignored online booking but took walk-in customers straight away. It was Tuesday so not many people were waiting but only Two staff were working there. I didn’t want to wait more than 30 mins so I went to the cheapest haircut shop called QC in the shopping centre instead, which I don’t use normally but luckily I found a really great stylist there who has 45 years experience. Her job was so quick and she did blow dry and set my hair nicely for $25. I gave her $5 tip for her hard work :) I definitely will comeback to her.

Used to be a decent app but broken for the last two months

As said in the header. Used to be okay but completely broken for the last two months. While I still get advertising emails from them and can log in on the web, the app has decided I no longer exist and no amount of changing passwords or trying to sign up again fixes it.

Cannot login after latest update

Been using the old version successfully since I first installed it. The latest update requires me to login again which I haven’t had to do in a long time so used the forgot password option, enter my email address and get the message that it will send an email if it exists on their DB but received nothing. Which is ridiculous as I’ve been getting receipts via email. Attempted to re-register but states my mobile is already recorded so cannot register. There is no support contact number and the people in the shop front are not IT support so I’m back to ringing up to book or trying my luck walking in. Not a well planned update at all

Great idea, why do stores ignore it?

Ignoring the fact that the estimated time is ALWAYS far too low (usually tells you 5-10 minutes, never waited less than 35), what's the point when the staff ignore it.
This morning, I checked in to Hornsby on the app bang on 9am and screen said 0-5 minutes). Walked in at 9.01 and received confirmation SMS at the same time. There was a lady tapping away in the screen when I sat down, clearly I was in the queue ahead of her.
When a stylist was finally free half an hour later, this lady walked up and just sat down. The stylist said it was supposed to be for another name, checked the register and she hadn't even Connors get check in. However the stylist CHOSE to make me wait longer rather than do the right thing!!

Utter waste of time, literally

Used the app 5 or 6 times now to check-in for a haircut. In every case I still either had to wait 30 minutes, or was told to come back in 20 when they have a slot, and then when I come back I still have to wait another 20 minutes. Meanwhile, people without the app jump in immediately. Ironically their service has actually gotten worse since the check-in function! I’ve since found another hairdresser with a booking system that works. No more wasted lunch breaks and frustration

What is the point?

My local store won’t acknowledge the app, they say they have no facilities to scan anything, they don’t know how the app works and say they basically know nothing about it. When I show them my ‘card’ number, they say they can’t do anything with it. When I signed up I had a $5 voucher, was told I can’t use it, even though another staff member said it popped up on their screen, the other staff member said they aren’t allowed to use it. I have been given a loyalty card instead, but if I don’t bring it I get a new one, now have about 5 cards and told they aren’t allowed to combine them so that’s a waste too. Pretty disappointing.

Can’t register for an account

Every time I tried to register for an account, it didn’t accept the password I entered. Kept getting a message saying “your password must be a minimum of 8 characters and include one number”. I tried passwords of length 30, 20, 16 & 12 and none were being accepted. All my passwords had at least 5 numbers. Finally, it accepted a password that was exactly 8 characters long. The error message stating that the password must be a minimum of 8 characters is wrong and misleading. It only accepted a password that was exactly 8 characters. Can’t believe this app is promoting terrible password security. There should not be an upper limit to password lengths. I use a password manager and usually generate a random 30 character password. A max of 8 characters for a password is not strong enough. Please fix your password validation function/regular expression.

Booking wait times wrong

The app tells me a 20 minute wait after checking in. It tells me to head to the store. I drive to the store and they are full of people and I am told 3 other people booked the same thing me as me and I have to wait over one hour. If I knew I had to wait that long I would have booked another time. After returning to the store one hour later they were still busy. Cancelled my booking because still had to wait longer for my appointment. It’s supposed to make booking easier but my experience is most disappointing using this new booking system
