It makes me need to make a call in the working hours and then fill out a new patient form every single time. I personally liked HotDoc app but the clinic started using this app so can’t help much.

Was okay but no longer shows appointments. Since this is a key function for an appointment app it's basically useless now. (Have uninstalled and reinstalled without any change to app malfunction.)

I was logged into it but now it doesn’t recognise me
I have been going to this practice for more than 5 years. I booked my appointment in advance for weeks and for some reason it forgot me and there’s no record of me on their file, even though yesterday I was logged in and had no problem. Sometimes it does this and sometimes I have to wait until it’s not a weekend or public holiday to ring the clinic to tell them about the issue. But I wanted to make sure that my upcoming appointments are still there. I can’t even get pass my name and DOB part, it doesn’t ask for my mobile. I know that it’s the same name and DOB that the clinic has so that isn’t wrong. But for some darn reason it won’t go past that, no record found.

Terrible app
It’s impossible to make an appointment. I get as far as a doctor and a time and the app freezes and won’t move on to the next stage of finalising the booking. Frustrating. I have tried all the fixes suggested online. Nothing works.

Forgets who I am and poor support
Every few weeks, ams connect app forgets who I am. And I need to go through the identification process again. I reported the issue and support said they would investigate. I followed their suggestions. Now they ignore my help requests.

App updated and removed all appointments
Once your app reset and updated removed all booked appointments and in the last 3 months have had to resign in and affirm account details twice due to your app resetting continually it’s been very unreliable for a medical app and to delete all appointments as well has created an issue now.

No Longer Works
The app used to work great. Now it forces you to create a new account but cannot find your patient record. If you try to sign up as a new patient just to be able to use it again you get as far as the point where it asks you to enter a verification code sent to the mobile number you give - however no code is received so you cannot progress past that point.
I previously used the app trouble free for a few years.
I’m using the latest version of the app, have deleted it and reinstalled it etc without any fix to this issue. Hopefully their support team will reach out and fix this.

The app has stopped working properly all it does when I log in now is spinning trying to load but doesn’t. Try and make an appointment confirms then disappears. poor voiceover access
for an App that deals with patients / individuals who might have disabilities or impaired mobility or fine motor movement ability, very poor access especially using Voiceover. very dodgy signing on and I only achieved this due to my 10 years experience using voiceover. also kept jumping from active wallet screen to Iphone home screen requiring face ID over and over. unstable and I will be telling my GP Clinic of these issues.

This app is ok, but it frequently “forgets” my details and I have to set it up again and add all my kids as dependants. Not the worst but quite annoying. Otherwise it is reasonably easy to use. I did prefer hotdoc however.

Broken
Can’t make appointments anymore. After selecting the patient, it goes to the next page and fails every time. “something went wrong” is not what i want to see when i’m trying to book in for a doc. The app tells me to send feedback but obviously no one reads it. I have deleted and reinstalled the app a number of times. Shame, this used to be a great app.

You can “edit” your booking but it really just cancels your existing booking and makes you create a new appointment, meaning you have to fill in the appointment type and reasons all over again

Re-entering my details to login
Why do I constantly have to keep entering my details when opening this App? I never logout only close the App but when I open it more times than not I have to re-enter my details. It use to work great but the past few months it’s become very frustrating.

Good functionality but…
This app is good, it’s quite functional but the problem that I have is its name. For people who don’t go to the doctor regularly, why would you remember that an app to make a medical appointment starts with an A? Can make searching for it on your phone a little bit frustrating.

Appointments lost
I have the same problem as other people have mentioned. I have never logged out of the application, but I continually have to reregister within the app. With my latest reregistration, none of my future appointments are visible in the app anymore. This seems like a pretty basic, and critical function to have failed. I have seen the responses from the app developer where they say not to log out, but I have never logged out of the app in my whole time using it. It looks like the app logs you out when it updates.

Convenient booking system
So easy to book and manage appointments with this app but it needs fixing as there is nowhere to opt for Telehealth for Medicare patients with my doctor. Not is there any option for Telehealth for work cover. I always have to choose the Video Call option, luckily my doctor knows I only want Telehealth and not video. Other than that I love being able to manage my appointments with this app and its ability to integrate with my calendar.

Why the hell does it need my credit card details to process & proceed with booking my appointments?
In other doctors appointments apps was never needed could just easily book & verify appointment in app, now I still have to ring doctors receptionist to book over phone, because I will never disclose my credit card details to an untrusted app, not after all the hacks over the recent years

Could learn from Hot Doc
Have had to re-enter my details several times over the past few months since my GP practice switched from Hot Doc. Extremely annoying.
UI is a bit meh. I will be campaigning for my doctor’s practice to return asap to HotDoc as it is a much better interface and way more reliable.
UPDATE AFTER DEV RESPONSE: I have *never* logged out. The issue re logging back in is happening spontaneously. Hence my rating and original comment. I can see from other reviews that other users are experiencing the same issue. If the developer’s response is to blame users for doing something (logging out) that users are NOT doing, instead of the developer actually addressing the problem, then this says all you need to know about the quality of this app.

Forced to update to an inferior version
I was forced to update the app and it is now unusable for me.
It is significantly slower. Every tap takes 6-16 seconds to load.
Instead of being able to select my specific doctor and look at their available dates like before, I have to scroll the find them through all the clinic's many doctors. Then, rather than skipping unavailable weeks and taking me straight to my doctor's next available appointment like it used to, I have to tap through each week until there's an available appointment. This is an issue when my doctor is always booked out three months in advance (and sometimes more), made so much worse by the slowness of the app. It's taken a 30 second long process and turned it into 5+ minutes of unnecessary wasted time.
I made it to February before I gave up and booked online direct through the clinic.
I cannot fathom why this would be seen as an improvement. Why fix something that isn't broken?
There's also no option to manage family members unless I add them as a dependent.
Overall, I will have to go back to booking online until this is rectified. I used the app because it was easier than booking online, but that's no longer the case so there's no point.

AMS on the iPad is not yet fit for purpose — but is it good enough?
I can use AMS Connect on my iPhone and its ok, but only works in vertical or ‘portrait’ mode. On the iPad it insists I turn my iPad the same way, which is a bit hard when you have a keyboard attached to it. Most other apps these days allow both wide (landscape) and high (portrait) versions. Not AMS COnnect.
Two other issues… a) They used to promise to add any doctor’s appnt to your calendar and it failed every time. This is now fixed. Thank you.
b) I enter my first and last names, and suddenly it addresses me with a familial diminutive - like Freddy instead of Frederick. I dont want an app talking to me like it knows me. Yet there is no obvious way I can get in and change this setting. If you find one please let me know.
(This is very hard to read on the side, since I am typing. on the iPad’s keyboard but the text is going from bottom to top).
Im disappointed they have not updated their software to work on all sized devices, not just phones. I probably should make it 2 stars not 3, am I being too generous?

Blank Screen
Like others have reported. Sometimes I open the app and it works perfectly and sometimes it doesn’t, it’s just a white blank screen. Can this be fixed?

Blank screen for the last week!
This is a great app, but for the last week when I’ve had multiple appointments all I get is a white blank screen . So annoying as I have to ring the clinic to make sure I’ve got the dates and times right!

Very clunky and functions don’t work
Patients and clinic staff are very unhappy with the roll out and functions compared to HotDoc.
The app isn’t intuitive and is missing doctors across multiple appointment types.
The non-contact prescription re-fill function only allows 1x prescription refill at a time not multiple making patients drop medications that are required for their care. OR patients need to front more expenses to re-fill multiple medications.
Stay with HotDoc.
This app needs a lot more work for clinicians and patients to use.
Clinics need to ensure that EVERY function works properly before roll-out and commutator with patients prior or offer how to’s.

Never works
When the app actually works it’s fine but I feel like I have to delete it and reload it constantly otherwise I just get a blank screen and can’t make appointments. I have to go straight to the clinic now which isn’t always convenient. I hope they fix this soon because it seems to be going for so long and hasn’t had an upgrade for over a year.

HotDoc is so much easier to use
I keep trying to persevere with this app only to be let down again and again. Clunky operation and amateur interface. Buttons don’t work as they should when trying to select something. Really bad. Time to find another medical clinic. How this app scores so highly in the App Store is beyond me? Something strange going on with ratings and reviews in my opinion.

Great idea to connect to our health practitioners and make it easier for clinics to book appointments but the app can do much better in navigations.

Screen constantly goes blank
Screen constantly goes blank - over 50% of the time you use this app. Only way to fix is to restart your phone. Very annoying when whole family is sick and your trying to book a lot of appointments. Our wifi is working fine, all other apps working perfectly- there is something wrong with this app.

Terrible app
Downloaded the App after being unable to make an appointment on their website using an iPhone and then trying an iPad.
The app was just as bad. Unable to make an appointment. Couldn’t scroll through all of the doctors at my local clinic to find the one I wanted (which did show up on the website).
Deleting the App now and going all school and using the phone to make an appointment.

Another blank screen
When I first started using it, it was great - easy to use etc - but then I got a blank screen & I could not use it. So I deleted & downloaded it again, still had problems so the next time I was at the drs, I spoke to the receptionist (young girl) who fixed it for me. Again it was fine… but then blank screen again! I thought “I know what to do!” so I deleted & downloaded again. I’m about to do that again for the fourth time - it works, it’s all good then a week or 2, maybe longer, I open the app & blank screen again. It’s beyond annoying now!!

Buggy as, wouldn’t use it if I had an option
My clinic uses this app which is the only reason we use it. It rates as the least reliable app we use, often forgetting our details or opening with an all white screen which means we need to delete the app and reload it. Hopefully this is really cheap for the clinic to use otherwise they need to rethink their choice.

Booking appointments bit frustrating
Set up was easy, adding family member is easy but booking an appointment is frustrating as all the options or stages to book (hard to explain) are all on one screen rather than waterfalled, so I was missing info to book and kept getting error message. It should be a 1,2,3 process and only show one step at a time, that would have made my star review 5 instead of 3 but it was very annoying trying to book and the point of these apps is to make things easier not annoying

Awful User Experience
I have no idea why this app is rated so highly. Yes, it does what is intended to do but very minimal consideration has gone into the UX design. General iOS design guidelines have not been followed so gestures are not possible for navigation between screens. There is also no record of previous doctor’s appointments. Additionally, I wanted to add my appointment to my calendar, after I had closed the message that prompted me to do that, and it was not possible to return to this screen. Overall very poorly designed app despite functionally working at intended.

Please fix this issue for once and for all because while you have offered your product to my GP’s practice you have created a tedious roadblock for us, the captive end users who’s time you are wasting with this flawed failing flim flam of an app.

I was an Emergency responder for the Rescue Squad. We generally knew what we would be facing when a call for help came. This apt helps our doctor know what to expect before he/she sees us….saving time and making the most of the doctor’s time and ours.

Good app - not good with time zones
The app is overall great but the calendar interface is a bit basic. Creates the calendar appointment in whatever time zone you’re in rather than where the clinic is. Confusing if you’re travelling often.

Blank screen
When I first started using the app it was great, easy to use. Now each Time I use the app then go back into it to make or check my appointments it gives me a blank screen. The only way to fix it is delete the app, download again and re enter my details. It’s getting easier to just call the medical centre. I hope the bug is sorted soon as it was initially a time saver.

Cannot make new appointment when there are existing appointments
Whenever I click on ‘Make Appointment’ option, I get a list of ‘My Appointments’ with no option to make a new appointment. Sometimes I need to make an urgent appointment, but it seems one cannot do this when you already have future appointments with the clinic, so the only option I seem to have is to call the clinic up. Definitely not looking at a digital first mindset by the app developers.
Using AMSConnect Version 1.4 on iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16.6.

Recording appointment to calendar
Mostly ok but the app does not seem to provide the ability to download the appointment time straight to my online calendar. HotDoc did this and it was excellent. There seems to be an icon which looks like it may do it but it does not.
Furthermore the record for the appointment date and time does not say whether it is a Telehealth or a clinic visit appointment. It is easy to forget without this reminder.

Easy to use.
Easy to use and navigate. Easy to add family members. Remember the appointment options available are what the clinic chooses to make available online. I can also book 24/7 without having to wait until the clinic opens.

Cutting asinine interactions with morons out.
Love this app. Since the Medical clinic i attend weekly hired a new receptionist who has a magnetically opposiingly charged personality to me, now i have no need to put up with her
Idiosyncrasies and regimented ways of treating people. I had to call her an idiot the first visit as thats how she was acting. This app has saved me from leaving a good medical practice or maybe losing my S(-@t in public which I would not like to happen 🤣💥🤛🏽

Not being able to make an appointment out of business hours could be an issue for some folk also the appointment type screen doesn’t appear when it should. 🙏

Annoying app, not user friendly
This app is painful to use, I hate my Dr started using it. Doesn’t seem to make appointments correctly, I have been called an hour early (therefore missing it) as well as called on days with no appointments. Switching between users is also annoying but at least it saves mine and my kids details, that’s the only thing better than the old webpage booking system.

Not working now
Was a good app but…..After update it comes up with make appointment tap that it says Please select the type of service you would like to book an appointment for then sends you back to Home Screen just going round in circles
