It Works!!!!

Got the Garage Door Opener. After emailing their team from the website to confirm it would work with pictures they sent back the pictures with arrows where the wires needed to go so I purchased one, set it all up and it works 100% perfect. I got the Apple HomeKit version not that I really needed it but I do have an phone. I run lots of Google stuff through the Google Home App. With the Apple HomeKit App I cannot seem to open the door via 4G only WiFi. Using the Metros App it work fine through 4G and WiFi. But I cannot seem to get it to open/close from the Google Home App, it’s there tho. Google Assistant (voice) works great tho on WiFi/4G but to open it via the assistant you will need to set up a pin. I like using the Metros app tho as all I have setup so far is the Garage Door which makes it easy. 100% Recommended!!!!

The garage remote control was easy to setup, and I’ve bought another that will open my electric gate. It’s not listed in the system but works perfectly. The app is great and provides more choices than HomeKit, although the ease of HomeKit is its strength.

Once all the apple home kit was set up and linked the Meross garage door opener to the Apple home it has worked flawlessly since, when driving home and at the end of the road I simply say “open garage door and by the time I get to my driveway the door is up, it also works through the Bluetooth device in my motorbike helmet, best money I have spent

If you were looking forward to reconfiguring your router during setup and rebooting it dozens of times, to ultimately get nowhere, this is the product for you!

I am in love with my Meross automatic garage door opener. However, installation videos specifically for highly sold brands will help in quick installation. Sometime the dashboard need to be refreshed by pulling the screen downwards for screen to show latest garage door status. Sometime garage door closes but notification says action failed.

Almost perfect. Where is the widget functionality

Great app! I absolutely love the functionality and how quick it was to setup.

The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 star rating is because the widgets don’t work on iOS. I tested this app on multiple Apple devices (iPad 5 & iPhone 12 Pro) and still not showing in the widgets list.

It would be perfect if I can have widgets on myhome-screen that allow me to toggle scenes and lights.

Alexa Voice control now works in Australia 👍

I have to start off by saying that despite the device initially not working, the customer support from Meross is outstanding with quick replies with suggestions to sort my issue out. The 5 stars is for them and 4 for the device :-)

A recent update to the Alexa app has resulted in the device now being opened and closed with Alexa voice control. Here is what you need to do:

Open the Alexa app, unlink and link Meross skill.

Then go in to the Meross skill settings and change to open with voice. you will need to add a 4-digit code to unlock. After that try below voice command:

Unlock [device name]. Alexa will ask for the code

Lock garage door [device name]

Is my [device name] locked/unlocked?

You can also try the open/close command to see if that works as well?

This device will work with any door opener with the two wire connection to connect to a manual push button switch.

Overall good. Few issues need to be addressed.

I use app with meross garage door opener msg100. Overall all good hardware and app but 2 items need to be enhanced for a 5 star.

1. Add a 5min overtime warning option if garage door is left open. Current minimum value is 10min which is a long period of I left home and forgot to close garage door.

2. Sometimes the msg100 is no longer connected to the ent despite the signal being 100%. Restarting router doesn’t resolve issue and only way to fix this is recycle power for garage door opener. This needs to be addressed.

Works great on iOS12, can’t get working on iOS14

Great basic app, just using the plug for the outside lights. Couldn’t configure the plug on my iPhone 8 with iOS14 but worked fine on wife’s same phone with iOS12. Now it’s set up though I can manage it via my phone.

Works as you’d want it to. Smart plugs super responsive, and give great stats on power usage. Garage door opener easy to install and works brilliantly. Integrates with IFTTT and Google Home no worries.
