This game is fun, but there are way too many ads. Usually I can tolerate ads, but not in this app. There is a long ad before and after every single level (and this is a LOT since levels are short). About half of the time spent on the app is spent watching ads. It was fun at the start, but now, after completing 8 levels, I am deleting the app.

Snake vs Block is AMAZING
Hi! I’m not going to say my name so you don’t stalk me, but I am just going to say that Snake vs Block is really, really good! I’m one of the top 1% players, which makes me extremely excited, and I love to show off to my friends at school.
One thing though… I wish that I could play it with Wi-Fi other than the one I use at home. I have no idea if this is just me or what, but if it does happen to everyone, then can you please change that? I don’t really care if you don’t do anything about this review, but if you do get other messages about the same issue, you should realise why.

Half decent game with poor performance
The game isn’t too bad (ads are kind of annoying) but it has some major performance issues. I’ve used multiple different devices (from current gen iPhones to iPads) and I get pretty bad lag and crashes every time I finish a level. It’s pretty embarrassing how bad the performance is. A reasonable amount of adds, and a great game! It’s a very simple game but it’s really good. A great game in general, I’m not sure if it needs internet but I assume it doesn’t.

I’d say the only really bad thing is that (I didn’t buy it) to remove adds, it costs $10! That seems a bit excessive for removing adds.

This game was a mad time waster for me, I got this game 9 months ago, and put a lot of effort into it. Even though this game is good if your bored and looking for a barely free ad game but don’t be shocked if it resets you. I got up to level 300, And had almost all the snakes you could get in the collection and had a lot of trophies. And guess what, it reseted me back down to 1, got rid of my snakes and trophies. Plus every level is the same. It doesn’t get harder.

This game is one of the best games I’ve had, it barely has any adds and it has so many challenges you can complete every day. I just can’t stop playing. I have been plying this game for so long now I can’t even remember when I first started. The only thing is that it doesn’t get any harder. It does get faster at some points but there are no real levels. Such a shame because I’m now bored and need to find another game :(

Not worth playing anymore
The application is a fun game, admittedly I found myself really enjoying it - but the newest update has too many ads to be feasible.
The levels are a good concept, it would be great to be able to turn them off though. It seems they are just a way to jam more ads in. Every time there is a level up - an advertisement. Any time you die, you have an advertisement. It’s so many that I don’t want to play at all - it’s simply not worth it.

Doing my part against the bought reviews
Would be a decent game, if it wasn’t for the endless ads. You spend more time in ads than in the game itself. I do like ad supported games. I’ll even click on voluntary ads every so often. I understand that it’s difficult to make money in the app industry today. However this is immensely ridiculous to the point that the game is almost unplayable. Some might say that the number of ads encourage someone to buy the full game, if that’s the case, level unlocks have always been a better method.
The only thing worse than unplayable games because of ads, is bought reviews. Just looking at the top reviews, they don’t even apply for this game!
I feel a little bit sorry for the original developers for this game, beneath all this mess of money there’s something with a bit of soul that harkens back to the days of simple, time killing mobile games. And then marketing and monetisation destroy it.
Anyway, the game itself is a clever concept, a bit of an evolution on a few other old games, as I said, there was a bit of thought in it originally, you’ve just got to be able to look past the grime. Unfortunately I’m unable to.

Fun game, however if playing with adds, there’s no way to get rid of them, you will need to close the app every time you lose. I was unlucky and got charged $4.50 for “ in purchase apps” cause I tried to close it and accidentally clicked the add which automatically charges you. Good luck!!! You may end up spending money without intending. I assume this game is unsafe and likely has some kind of hacker. Don’t download and save yourself.

The ads are really annoying but the game is great. Every game you play there is an add. I love this addictive game, but if you don’t like ads I don’t recommend. This game is really fun to do especially if you are bored. Once you play this game a lot it’s addictive, the challenges are great. But the annoying adds. Sometimes the same ads come on the screen. Ads make gameplay impossible, fake reviews
The game itself is great. Simple and addictive. Then they introduced these ads, which pop up in the middle of gameplay! Before, there were only ads BETWEEN games, which I can understand. Now playing is impossible because the game continues running behind the ad, and you lose! Also when I came to see if others were complaining, all these reviews are fake and irrelevant - raving about battles and defences and Snapchat, not about the game at all. Disappointed :(

But it is a good game even though it has a lot of adds 😊. So please can you make it have no adds or at least very few adds. When I was purchasing this game I read through the comments and they were all negative. They said a lot of things that ARE NOT TRUE, there are a couple of ads but they go for 5 seconds tops and really don't waste that much time. Also NO ONE mentioned that there are little challenges that you can reach by pressing the trophy button, you can also change what token you play with. (the best one is the ice cream) the only bad thing I can really find about the game is that when you press the one more life button it supposedly lets you start again but keep your score. You have to watch an ad that goes for 30 SECONDS and you don't even get the extra life. It's really a great game though so I recommend getting it.

Major problem
This major problem is called 'glitch ' this needs to be fixed not hating just stating. This game is addictive but unsatisfing what happens when you have a couple of minutes to play a game or write something down on your phone but you are then just sitting there bored. The glitches put the game down to a 3stars with me. Fix this before it gets worse. Anyway, on the other hand this game is amazing if you ask me the way how you can get trapped between a line and a wall with no way out and not have enough points to get passed your idea of the game is great. Pretty good game but...
Pretty good game. Although there are SO many ads that nobody will follow (maybe remove them please!!!). I know the original game “snake” has no sound, but this is supposed to be “snake” but WAY BETTER. I wouldn’t really recommend it because of my reasons above (no sound and too many ads if you are too lazy too scroll a few centimetres!!), but it is a good yet simple game that is great to play in boring situations.
Also. I would recommend playing this when listening to music as it has no sound.
I am considering deleting this so a nice update please!!!

Bread game but - No sound??
Great game...with one small issue...I mostly play games with the sound off, though, on occasion, I like to hear some sound effects when I play BUT there is absolutely no sound on this game when I switch the sound on, on my phone. I checked and all the other games on my phone have sound. I just read a review where the person said they couldn’t turn off the sound on the game...there’s obviously some audio issues here BUT the game is very addictive!!! And I’ll continue to play sans sound :-)

Great game but as others have said the ads are absolutely ridiculous. I played for about 10 minutes, and half of that time would have been spent watching advertisements in between each quick game. I know they are trying to encourage the paid version, but honestly if my choices are paying $4.49 or watching an obscene amount of ads, I’d rather not play at all. Good idea and fun to play, but far too annoying/expensive for what it is.

Addictive and Unsatisfying
This game has to be one of the most addictive yet unsatisfying games ever. I have turned off mobile data for this app as there are soooo many ads that pop up continually. I have resorted to turning off my wifi to play it as the ads are so annoying and constant. This had the added benefit of stopping the glitching that was also happening (maybe due to it trying to run too many ads)
I love the concept of the game and enjoy trying to get through it, but found it so disappointing when you finally smash your high score there is no reward whatsoever.

Great but too many adds
I love the game but after you die it will give you five seconds to decide if you want to watch an add to get a second life from the same spot or if you want to continue on and play another game but even if you press the button to continue on it will take you to an add SO ANNOYING!!!!! TO MANY ADDS!!!

Wow, it is quite addictive!
I saw this game from a friend and downloaded it. It's so fun and cute and plot is pretty creative. The longer you play a round, the faster it gets. I rated 4 stars and would have rated it 5, but it is a little glitchy. Not too much so that it actually matters but it would awesome if there wasn't. Thx👏👏🙋✨

WAAAAAAAY TOO MANY ADDS
I personally enjoy this game, and I think it could be so much better if there were no adds popping up DURING GAMEPLAY. You may be close to a high score, but a advertisement pops up. The game does not even stop once the add comes up! More or less killing you in higher levels. This would not be so bad if they came up ever 20-30 mins but they appear EVERY 20-30 seconds! This can effectively make the game unplayable, and as a result, I'm giving this game 1 star

too many ads, not enough control
as many other people have said, this game has excessive ads. they go for far too long, and there are always two in a row. you get them after every other game which, when you’re only playing for a minute or less (when it’s really hard), is extremely excessive. As another user pointed out, go to settings, then mobile data and scroll down until you see Snake vs Block and turn off mobile data. this stops the ads unless you’re on wifi, which is also an easy fix.
In addition, the head of the “snake” is placed too far up the screen so there is very little chance of seeing the number of blocks coming up, and even less of a chance as the snake begins to move faster and faster.
This is a pretty fun game and i enjoy playing the simple game (as I completed all of the challenges I was able to, the rest were nearly impossible), but it needs some improvements.
It would also be good if the settings wheel actually let you change settings.

What a disappointment :(
I love the concept of this game, but it’s impossible to play it using skill.. it’s all up to chance.
You can’t see the blocks until you actually can’t even move the snake to avoid the highest blocks.. how is this fun or using skill?
How you can suggest it’s for ages 4+ is beyond me.. a child would have great difficulty playing this game well.
And the adverts.. I understand adverts, I don’t mind watching them BUT I can’t turn the volume down on them, even when I turn my phone down, the ads still play the audio..
You have a great concept here, but here’s a tip.. people who play games actually like to win games once in a while or slowly master the game with practice.. it’s impossible for this to happen in this game of chance.

Bad controls and too many ads
This would be an excellent game (at least four stars) if there were less ads and if the controls were much better. The snake is way too sensitive to movement and the calibration is all off, resulting in little to no control over it.
Also, as other people have pointed out, you can't see the numbers on the blocks until it's too late, which is a very poor design.
Please fix these things so that the game is actually playable :)

Too many ads
Every second death there's an ad and the ads don't close properly I have to close them like 3 times.
Also its way to hard difficulty should be gradual. Which means I die all the time and watch ads all the time.
Tried to change it settings but every time I click on settings it just says "restore in app"

Noisy Ads Even When Sound Turned Off On Phone
Before I turned on the game, I switched the sound on my phone off using the hardware sound switch. This is a really useful switch because it turns off all the sounds that the phone makes, like ringing and dinging and whatnot, unless I specifically play a sound, like through the music app. I often turn the sound off before I play games because games have annoying sounds and it's a good way to avoid them. For most games, this also means that the ads won't make any sounds. I don't mind ads in games really because I know it's how game makers earn money. I can handle sitting through an ad every now and then. But what I can NOT handle is ads that not only make noise, but they make loud and annoying noises even when I had already switched off the sound on my phone. UNACCEPTABLE. I can't believe that Apple allows this. Terrible.

Are you kidding me?
I've spent at least a quarter of my time with this game watching ads and not because I'm no good, the interactive ones take a good minute to finish up, the normal ones take almost as much time and they all average 30seconds. The flow is unbearable and the data it's probably eating up makes this 'free' game anything but.
To the developer I say; stop being so darn greedy, if this game's budget was anything above pocket change then that's your own fault for not knowing how to manage your finances and I refuse to allow you to make money using my time and 4G. It's a shame too because if it weren't for that massive, glaring issue I think I'd have a great time with this game.

Great game but ads ruin it
Summary of what I have said for those who don't want to read it:
Great game concept, overrun by ridiculous and uninteresting ads. Still glitches need to be smoothed out. Would recommend waiting for a newer version.
This is a really fun game that has been advertised really well but the amount of ads you have is ridiculous! I'm so unimpressed that you are not satisfied with the normal amount on income received from an even amount of ad to game ratio that you have overrun this game completely! You play 2-3 rounds and then get faced with ads! And when you press the "one more life" button you watch 2 ads and then start at the beginning again. I hope that you can even out these bugs and glitches in later versions.

Fun game poorly executed
Meh it's an alright game but the time spent watching ads are as long as the time spent playing the game, on top of that it seems more like good luck to have a good run rather than skill, you don't see how high the blocks are until it's already too late. Another issue is how glitchy it can be, it'll drive you insane when your on a good run and then it decides to glitch out and ruin it. Finally I feel the game could benefit from a pause button, you'll be playing, doing well and someone will ask you to do something, you then have two choices, die and ruin your score or keep playing until you die which could take quite a while.
To sum up it's a good idea that could use some major refinements it's another case of money hungry developers ruining a game due to greed.

Has issues but fun
Honestly this game is fun but it has issues, issue 1, on start up, you get 4 circles but the blocks are at like 36. Issue 2 the snakes sensitivity is to high, moves to fast. Issue 3, there is only one way when it comes to a block wall on start up, and if you get in between a wall and a block wall, it's impossible on start up to escape.
All my issues, +laggyish from time to time

Ads, ads, ads, ads
There is a long ad after every game. The game is fun though, but way too many ads and the in app purchase to remove them is too high. A few dollars for the removals of the ads seems fair, but $4.49 to remove ads for a time filler game is too steep.
If you don't want to see ads, go to Settings, Mobile and the scroll down till you see Snake vs Block and turn off mobile data. Ads will not display then. You will also be surprised at how much data the ads use. I played 5 games and it used 42mb of data serving me ads.

A New Boredom Buster
I saw this in an advertisement and it looked good enough so I hopped over to the App Store and downloaded it. I found it really addictive and for everyone who says there are way too many ads al, you have to do is turn your Wi-Fi/Mobile Data because that is the only reason it uses your internet.
