Login is awful
I’ve never seen an app this bad when it comes to login. Don’t want to login with Google or Apple, but with email, there no password, every time you want to login you enter your email, the app doesn’t even save that or give suggestions, so you have to type it each time. Then it emails you a code, well that’s what it’s meant to do, most of the time email doesn’t come, so you have to quit the app, cause there is no resend code. Half the time I give up and type info in something else.
Login should be standard and saved in the iPhone password section. So frustrating.

Scope for huge improvement
To the Devs,I think you guys should add the ability to move block to the side of another block like in the desktop version.That could seriously help us to better manage and view our workspace and manage our projects more effectively,and also add the ability to move row and columns in table format. thanks

The best all in 1 app 😍
Firstly, I have never gone out of my way to write a review before prior to using Notion, so here we go.
I used Evernote, Trello & Asana and whenever I see a new app that claims to do the same, Im always a bit hesitant as my workflow is already setup in these apps.
After seeing Notion pop up a few times I thought id try it out. First thing to shout out is, they have made it incredibly easy to connect your other apps and import EVERYTHING exactly as is to Notion making it incredibly easy to, import the exact Asana boards/layout, import the exact notes from your Evernote notebook/stack layouts etc.
Secondly, I have only tried the free version and it has the capability on the free version alone to do everything I could do in the paid versions of Asana & Trello.
Could not recommend this app highly enough. This app claims to be the all in 1 app. I can confirm that’s exactly what Notion is!!!

Great app, bit laggy thought.
On the iPhone pro 12 max n it lags so much. Screen is delayed when u edit ur templates and so on. But I like notion, if a fantastic app! Hopefully it will update to accomodate the current iPhones.

Handwriting feature
I really enjoy using this app, I use it to organise my whole life! It would be extremely great if Notion could add an inbuilt handwriting system so that I would not need to rely on other apps to do this, I would love to be able to solely use Notion :)

amazing app just one thing...
i love this app but what would be really helpful is full text selection! It’s extremely bothersome to only be able to select text in small paragraphs/dot points and makes it hard to transfer content to another app. Please update this and the app will be perfect!!

Love using Notion for note taking and planning. I just would love to have the ability to create columns on the iPad version. I use my iPad as my primary computer and so this would be really helpful!

Almost 5...one thing to fix on iPad!

Great job on this app. A terrific writing companion.
Can we please enable full text selection? For example, when you’re in a note and you have different paragraphs etc. you can only highlight one of those on iPad. I would love to be able to highlight multiple sections of text. I’ve just written some headings and wanted to bold them all but cannot highlight them all at once. Could we pop this into the next update please?

Feedback idea
Really great app, but I have an idea!
Since split screen is used a lot, I think a great way to utilise this is by being able to have 2 documents open through split screen.
You can do this on things like Pages, but I think Notion is easier to navigate and use.
Please take this idea into account, I think it will really benefit!

Absolutely a must for any uni student!
I just found this app accidentally and it is soooooo easy to use to make any mind mapping by just using the bullet points and it will generate! I think every student to download this app for their revision!
It would be fantastic if you add Apple Pencil markdown into pages!!! That would absolutely incomparable to other apps!

Needs “Offline” mode
This is a great app, and is continually getting better. The one thing that lets it down is the lack of an “offline mode!” The moment I enter an area that doesn’t have good 4G reception (my local grocery store for example) I can’t access my workspace.
The other concern is that I’m hearing a lot about Notion’s lack of security and privacy. That’s not good. :(

Loving it so far
I don’t often leave reviews but I just love the initiates of this company and being a student and having something affordable Ir early appreciate this app! The one thing that I would love is to be able to have a separate notes section similar to GoodNotes where I can import documents and use my Apple Pencil and write on PDF / import PDF such as my lectures notes and make notes on them, please bring this in! Otherwise i am loving this app, it was a great alternative to asana and similar apps I was trying It’s just easy to use!
I would love if you could also bring in a widget and a better app to use on ipad and phone.
Also like click up being able to time track with the click of a button instead of integrating with other time tracking applications

Stuck on splash screen
On my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 12.1.2, every time I try to open the app, it gets stuck on the splash screen indefinitely. Reinstalling the app or even resetting the phone doesn’t help.
EDIT: Works now after I updated to iOS 12.4.8.

Learning curve
Too early to review deeply, however, many reviews seem to trash for app not working on older platforms. Some also seem to not investing time to learn this high potential app.
I’m sticking with it long enough to know how to maximise on what it has on offer.

URGENT: cannot login anymore on app
As of today i can’t login on the app. Have tried deleting and re-downloading, to no avail. Button to google simply will not work

There is a problem but. When selecting an emoji for a callout box, it won’t let me scroll far before flicking back to the top, nor am I able to search for an emoji properly. The search will normally just result in nothing

PUT A TIMETABLE FEATURE
I love this app and I am a secondary school student as are a lot of people using this app and I feel this app is very well made but incomplete. It desperately needs a timetable template, specifically with clear boxes for periods or lessons lined up for each day, and for seven days of a week. That would be so useful.
It doesn’t need to show the work you have for that class right on the icon, it should just show what ever you have named that period like “English” or “Maths”. If the user wants to see what work they have for that period they should just tap on that period block and Notion should send them to the Tasks section for that subject or tag. That’s how I would personally want it. Thank you, love the app.

Powerful note taking
Notion is vastly more powerful than your average notes app with many Excel-like features, it’s really impressive what you can achieve with it. Its main downside would be that its native apps are just web wrappers and can perform quite slow at times. I also find that the interface will fight you a if you just want to quickly jot down a note without having to think about organisation. Apples own notes app and Bear don’t have this issue, just create a note and worry about organising it later.

Best note taking app, superior to Evernote by far
AND THEY JUST MADE THE PERSONAL PLAN FREE TOO!!
I didn’t like how much you had to pay for Evernote, so I tried notion, and boiiiiiiii. Look it requires a bit of patience but in the long run it is so much easier to use.
I live the database function, and it’s easy. If you want to have everything in one app instead of multiple, I recommend notion. There are drawing functions using notation, and honestly I really am enjoying how versatile notion is. It’s very capable and the developers are definitely working really hard to improve the app. Every update is super!

Markdown editor. It reminds me a lot of bear, but much simpler
It’s a lot easier to get the hang of. If you have trouble getting used to the markdown editor style of bear, dynalist, ect. I recommend notion.

Unusable as a note taking application
Notion is unusable as a note taking or drafting application.
You can only select text in “blocks” i.e. discrete sentences or paragraphs.
That means it’s near impossible to copy/paste any more than one sentence or paragraph at a time, and extremely frustrating to draft or migrate notes.

Fantastic, but the keyboard delays and lags.
Throughout the use of this app, I constantly get lag and delays on the keyboard and I have the iPad 2017 version, which is still new so this shouldn’t be happening. Sometimes it may even scroll all the way down when I type and delay letters when I write. This needs to be fixed because I love Notion’s unique features.

Try creating and editing an inline table in Notion on iOS. The number of insane taps, swipes and screens required for basic actions is incredible.

Excellent note taking app, except...
WHERE IS THE INKING FEATURE?
Honestly love this apps features of nesting pages and not being limited by how you arrange the content. But honestly, when will we get inking features? Especially seeing as though the Apple Pencil was launched in 2015. Its 2020 people!
I work in a school and I would say 60-70 percent of students have a writable device. I would have no hesitation in recommending this app - if it had inking capabilities.

Best note taking app with one major problem
This app isn’t without its faults, most of which will be fixed along the way such as the slow speeds. Although I personally regard this as the single best note taking app out there because of its versatility there is one thing that drives me absolutely crazy. You can only highlight one line at a time. I just spent 20 minutes re writing everything I had on one note onto another simply because I couldn’t copy and paste it. This is an iOS only issue but due to that fact my primary machine is an iPad Pro this is very frustrating.
As soon as this app runs on iOS like it does on Mac, there will be no note taking system to compare to it.
Until the the ability to copy multiple lines is added i have to use apple notes and then copy the note into notion just so i have a copy there to easily copy if i need to. Please fix, and thank you for making such an amazing note taking app!

Decent but iPad app is clearly not prioritised
I recently learned how to use Notion and am enjoying it very much. I learned it on my windows PC but my main device is an iPad with keyboard.
After using this app, immediately noticed many issues present in the app that should certainly not be present. Here are a few of my concerns that make the iPad app much harder to use:
-when i search for a note and the only option is what you have typed up, why can’t i just press enter on the keyboard to open it
-when i type a function such as /page, why can’t i just press enter to make one
-why can’t i move and rearrange lines of text around the page without the page moving simultaneously
-why can’t i create a divider on the page
-why can’t i select multiple separate lines of text using the shift + arrow commands nor select the whole page using cmd + a
Overall, Please improve the iPad application for touchscreen and keyboard

Notion just announced they are free for students which is awesome!
However, as a student, there are a couple things I would change:
1. Notion is quite finicky with highlighting, which is a little annoying.
2. Inserting photos and screenshots takes so much time compared to other note-taking apps. If that could be improved, it would make lectures a lot faster and easier.

Review notes on the bus
I setup notion for my uni studies. I find the app very handy during the morning bus commute to work, and making a quick mental recall on the previous nights’ study. It’s very easy to use, and an extremely neat format in comparison to one note.

Of all the productivity apps I’ve tried... not one has stuck. There’s always something that I’ve thought “if only it did...”. Notion solved all that because my productivity dashboard is exactly what i want. Looking forward to speed updates but I’m so in love with it I’m still giving 5 stars!

Best app BUT...
Highly recommended! This app is everything you wish for. However, one problem I found that this app is very slow much slower than Evernote especially when I try to collect all school notes and workloads in one place. I hope you guys can fix this. I really love this app.

Great start
Overall it's good, way better than evernote. However I found one key feature is missing: SEARCH. I tested out this, looks like it's not a full text search. Will fully switch to Notion once search is in place.

A great start
As others have said, great potential but doesn't yet live up to its claims.
To be a serious Evernote alternative, which is what I am looking for, it needs
- split screen on iPad
- drag and drop for images and file
- editing and annotation of images
- some drawing capability.
- fast import of Evernote files with images.
I too will watch and wait, i will stick with the tools I need for my business workflow being Evernote, Things, Fantastical and Noteshelf for now.
It does however have something that Evernote lacks....good tech support. That’s worth a lot.
