This is a good app though not gonna lie, but what they can improve on is adding face is in, lets just say… face id recognition

App that force you turn on location
This is a crazy app that ask you to share your location and allow it running at backend, almost means it tracking your location 24/7, and you have to turn on so that you can clock in for the work

Can’t get it working
I have been having trouble with it ever since I started working. I’ve noticed that the Leave , working hours and Timesheet functions are not visible or accessible on my Definitiv app. I’ve tried updating the app and checking on different devices, and tried different ways but the options still don’t appear. My co-workers they all have these functions but me.

You sure this is designed for Australian payroll, with Enterprise Agreements in place?
User here. Well my company have been using Definitiv for a couple of years now, after what seemed to be some amazing marketing thrown at them. Our previous payroll program was working very well but that’s bureaucracy for you.
It is awful from a user standpoint. No flexibility if there are flexible hours for entering of timesheets. Will literally get overpaid or underpaid. Payslips are really poor and don’t show important tax information, such as; how much of tax deducted is standard income tax, how much is HELP loan, etc. Just really poor.
It’s so hated where I work and the issues are so common and rife that we aren’t allowed to contact payroll direct, we need to go via our Line Managers. Essentially it has created more work for everyone involved and way too many headaches.

Time clock server request timeout
App is very glitchy. I have had nothing but trouble when trying to use the time clock with constant server timeout requests. I have deleted the app and reinstalled multiple times.
My company emailed Definitiv and their response was much the same, delete the app and reinstall. I have done this again and fail to get further support.
Nevertheless, it doesn’t work reliably. Very poor app, very poor support and it is a PITA to use.

the leave function on this app simply does not work, it loads for what seems forever and then the “request times out” and you’re never actually able to input leave that you need. if it wasn’t for this i’d give a 5 star rating

When you submit your timesheet the add equipment should stay there . You use the equipment on the first job and again on the next and so on you have to keep adding the items every job you should be able to keep those items you may have 6 jobs on the day at different times and same equipment you may have 5 items of equipment to add each time

Hopelessly slow and painful to use.
Slow a glitchy to use. Unable to duplicate days and hours for the same job numbers. Have to search job numbers each time rather than suggest most recent. I’m general just a long winded way of entering a very simple task.

Time setting annoying
When filling in the times in timesheets you might be doing this for the past week
E.G. I work 0530 - 1730 every day and have a break at 1200 - 1230
To fill in a weeks worth of this let’s say it’s at 1120 in the morning, I’ll go to fill in the start time to 0530, press next and it will reset to 1120 (the actual current time) so you have to change the minute as well as the hour. This might seem like a small thing but when you have to do it for the work hours and the break hours for every day you’ve worked it can be annoying.
Another issue (that would help the above issue) is not being able to use an hours template from one day to the next as most people’s work hours are generally the same for most days.

Keeps crashing
Not been able to use it at all. I can’t use the time clock because it says bad request each time I try to clock in for the day or time sheets as the whole app just crashes.
