Not displaying correctly on iPhone 11 Pro

Formatting is not handled correctly on iPhone 11 Pro. Information layout poorly designed, as a parent it is not easy to see important information without going to multiple places. Often receive messages saying I have not looked at notifications even when I login many times per week.

Appalling. Unfit for purpose.

It’s not the app. It’s the whole platform which is predicated on the wrong assumptions.

I can’t forward a message to an email address. So I can’t print anything, nor forward messages to step parents or my kids, nor link to my calendar.

If I find any of my software engineering students are responsible for this mess, I will be revoking your degree. I AM WATCHING YOU.

Atrocious site

This is one of the worst sites I have ever encountered. Minimal information, cheap design, timetable is a joke especially if you have a language barrier, don’t even know if it contains students work requirements list. The site itself is an absolute disappointment!! Terrible!!

An app that belongs in the dark ages

Could an app be more rubbish? Sorry to say, but I doubt it. This app crashes on a regular basis. Its messaging is incredibly archaic, almost as if it comes from a Commodore 64 or one of the earliest online computers, circa 1980s. It takes hours - and I mean HOURS- to upload videos to submit for school assignments, making matters even more stressful for students. It is in all honesty a failure on every level.

SEQTA should be replaced with a word document and email. As a teacher and parent at a school that uses SEQTA, I hate it. The most useless program- the simplest task takes hours. In fact it took more than a year to get the school’s report format changed on SEQTA. Do not touch it if your school is considering using this platform.

Pathetic

My son and daughter are both home schooling because of the virus. My sons school uses SEQTA, my daughter uses Google Classroom. Having now been forced to use both of them

I can comfortably say that SEQTA is totally and utterly pathetic. It is frustrating, convoluted and constantly fails. On the other hand Google Classroom works flawlessly.

Of course I don’t mind supporting the smaller company and understand they don’t have the resources of Google but we’re talking about our kids education.

This is simply not good enough and I’d question any school that uses it.

SO hard to navigate

This App just creates hours of frustration; notices appear, I read them and want to keep them for reference and yet I still get constant reminders that they are not read!!!

It is hard to navigate, difficult to return back from each page and not user friendly...

Overall it’s just a constant pain to have to keep returning back & trying to work through.....

The sooner to school moves away from this App the better! Shame I can’t rate it as a zero!

Missing is that my son uploaded an assessment item and it is still showing o. Assessment and does not indicate that it was submitted, this is on the parent app.

Poor accessibility

Some of fields, buttons etc. cannot be accessed by VoiceOver. Very hard to navigate and understand by a blind and vision impaired person. Hope this can be fixed.

Needs work

I’ve found this app to be less than useful. It tries to solve a really good problem by using “one shoe fits all” approach. Being an Apps developer myself, I can understand the cases where the UI & UX have to be compromised due to various limitations (particularly in a one shoe fits all scenario). However, the only limitation that seems to be plaguing this app is the limitation of either will or imagination.

Very disappointing.

This app is really hard to navigate.

There should be colour coded menu items to assist with navigation.

The notice alerts don’t follow logic.

Most times there is content missing.

It’s also annoying that the email discussion thread is locked only to a provided list of recipients.

It has loads of potential, but currently falls well short.

The worst app I own

I’m struggling to understand why so many schools use this. You have to go into individual areas to check daily for new content because there are no notifications. The timetable doesn’t display properly on iPhone 11. Direct messaging is so counter intuitive - it doesn’t show my reply until the teacher replies back again. Too many random areas to check for new info (dashboard, portal, assessments, subject pages...) What should be simple is made more complex by this app. I could go on and on. Hate it but stuck with it because the school uses it. The concept is good but execution is rubbish.

I’ve tried 5 times to download this as a previous user, but each time it just bombs out without even giving the blue circle % complete. Very flakey!

Login process needs work...

My review reflects the one off login process. Thats likely why your app has such a dud rating...

Its strange that you cant login with your existing account.

So when the school sends out a new QR code, best path is to use it and create a new account.

Bizarre, and took me 5 minutes to figure out. Guys, c’mon!

I wasted my time.

So I read a lot of the reviews mostly negative and thought it couldn’t be that bad!

Then installed it, first step was create an account. It asks do you have a qr code which I do in an email sent by the school. Then the app wants to use the camera to read the qr code, but the qr code is in the email. And the app only reads codes with the camera! The app should be able to read from a photo not just the camera. This way I could take a screenshot of the qr code in the email and be done with it.

If something as simple as this hasn’t been implemented in the app then I’m not wasting my time any further.

So right from the beginning you failed. Uninstalling the app and rating it one star just because I can’t rate it zero.

I would rather wait for my kids to finish their schooling instead of trying this app again.

So frustrated at the limitations

I have children at the same school

who require my to have 3 different accounts. This was infuriating when initially advised this. As app only allows for one log in. Previously I had used the web browser to log into the other accounts but it now no longer displays on my phone. I now can only access one child’s account.

I’m having trouble reading the yellow assessments. The new white background with yellow text used for marks is very difficult to read. Can I change the contrast or colour?

This app and SEQTA in general are terrible. I have no students listed in my account despite having used it for 4 years and 2 children. I have missed 6 months of results for my year 12 student and despite requests for assistance have received none.

Not great but it’ll do

On mobile I can customise no problem and the idea is great to keep parents informed. However I’m always getting notifications for things that aren’t there. Like a marked test result but it won’t show. Maybe a bug? I also went to email seqta through the app but the link wouldn’t take me so decided to leave this review instead

Parent Access

Good for reporting grades etc to parents but it would be better if parents of younger children (say under 16) could automatically access their child’s SEQTA Learn information.
