Navigating issues

Since last update the navigation on the app doesn’t work after accepting trips. You have to go out from the app and get back in again to start the route.

Sadly with uber these days

I have been delivering with Uber Eats and I believe there are several issues that need attention.
The app frequently experiences glitches and technical problems that affect deliveries and earnings. The demand information is often inaccurate, with areas showing as busy or high demand while drivers can spend long periods waiting without receiving orders.
Earnings are also highly inconsistent. One week there may be plenty of trips, while the next week there are very few, even when working the same locations and hours. This creates uncertainty, especially for drivers who rely on Uber Eats as their primary source of income.
More transparency is needed regarding how demand is calculated, how orders are distributed, and why drivers sometimes receive very few requests despite being in busy areas. Driver support should also do a better job investigating concerns instead of providing generic responses.
Uber Eats provides opportunities for many people, but improving reliability, transparency, and support would make the platform much fairer and more dependable for delivery partners.

Not working correctly and always out of date

I find the app very poor always not working correctly out of date including the maps are never accurate and customer they always think that is drivers with are doing the wrong things by going long distances ways and when we need to upload new documents, never works we after call customer service to seek help and this it is only during the business hours. Lost money

Impossible for me to complete my registration. Paid $42.50 for a background check, that I didn’t have, only for the site to crash before on the last section and now says my check doesn’t exist and expects me to pay again. I also have a digital licence and they don’t accept it when legally they should. There is no way I can see to contact any support to discuss any of this.
So instead of trying to earn money to live this app cost me money and I’m still no where near being a driver because there is no support. I am really disappointed

Certain tabs in app not working

The referral page and the update vehicles page don’t load. They show a spinning circle for a few minutes and then it says try again. Never changes. Tried wifi, data, uninstalled and reinstalled, signed out and back in. Nothing has fixed it. Been happening for at least a month or more now. No sign of it being fixed. I’ve been an uber eats driver for 8 years and this is the worst I’ve ever seen the app and its customer support.

Uber eats

I have been using this app as uber eats rider for two weeks now. The first week was good. Quests were achievable, and overall an ok pay for Australia. Now I am in the second week and these are my numbers (I am on a bike) 28 h online (they are more since sometimes the app sent me in really remote areas and had to switch off for a while) 9h 22 min active and the pay is 189 AUD. Of these 189$, 162$ are net fair and 27$ promotions, the quests aren’t achievable anymore. They give me way less orders when it’s peak hours and quests are valid. Also today it sent me in closed roads and pick up points where bikes aren’t allowed to pick up, for this one I had to contact support, they cancelled the trip and gave me 3$ even though I was pedaling for 15 minutes at least, also my cancellation rates is high now. It’s becoming an awful app really quickly. I heard things are different in other Aussies cities, but in Brisbane my experience is awful.

Can’t process

The NCC service linked with Uber is a massive waste of time and money. The process is overcomplicated, and it feels like you have to do everything yourself, whereas other delivery apps are completely free and automated. When you ask for support, you just get clueless agents who give useless answers just to end the chat. It’s a completely useless and brain-dead system.

Driver vehicle removed

Very disappointed with Uber's handling of driver complaints. My vehicle was removed from the platform based on a passenger's allegation of a mechanical issue without any prior notice, investigation, or opportunity for me to provide evidence.
I maintain my vehicle regularly and supplied a valid vehicle inspection report confirming it is roadworthy. Despite this, my ability to earn an income was affected immediately.
I fully support passenger safety and understand the need to investigate complaints, but drivers should also be treated fairly and given the opportunity to respond before action is taken. A more transparent and balanced review process would benefit both drivers and passengers.

Getting worse

Get rid of the electric car charging button. None of us with electric car use it. It is absolutely useless. There are better apps that do a better job. Give us back our coffee cup that was actually something useful. When on Apple CarPlay get rid of the directions arrows from the phone screen it’s on the car screen and give back the destination address that used to be on the phone screen. It was useful to know the address and the suburb of where you’re going to. You don’t need to sense of turn by turn directions.

It’s good but it’s also not

Coming into July 2026, it will be interesting how uber eats deals with Australia demanding an hourly wage for their drivers, as to how much more money; if if we are any better off. The toll it puts on our cars, because you have to drive for hours to make $100. They push to advertise more and more delivery people, driving down opportunities for the long term drivers. When I started as a second source of income two years ago, I was making $26-30 an hour without quests.. now I’m lucky to make $22 an hour. Under minimum wage in Australia by a fair bit. Ubers doing what it needs for me to get through my current situation, but, I feel for those who rely on uber eats to help them get by day to day.

Customer service

I am very disappointed with Uber’s customer support. I have contacted support multiple times regarding my issue, but each time I received slow, unhelpful, and scripted responses that did not address my concern.
I was repeatedly redirected between agents without anyone taking ownership of the case or providing a proper solution. The lack of clear communication and accountability has made the experience very frustrating.
Uber should improve its customer service by ensuring agents are properly trained to understand issues and resolve them instead of sending generic replies.

Annoying nav

Nav guidance is ok once it gets going, but it is inexcusable that the nav does not know what direction the car is pointing when taking a new ride. So many double u-turns made because of this.
The continual questioning of whether there is traffic is in the area when it can easily be automatically crowdsourced is infuriating.
Also, every 3rd or 4th update messes with the phone’s volume which is a nuisance if you use your phone to play music in the car.

Uber isn’t as good as it used to be.

I’ve been a full-time Uber driver for four years.
Not only have fares dropped significantly, but the Uber of old—the one that was reliable and stood by its drivers—is no longer there.
The current Uber is nothing but a rip-off.
It doesn’t pay out tips from time to time.
Even though I’ve written to customer services, they do everything they can to avoid acknowledging the problem and simply deny it.
I strongly advise you to keep a very close eye on your earnings statement, as there’s a very high chance they’re skimming off your earnings—I’ve heard this from others on numerous occasions.

If you’re thinking about doing Uber Eats for income, think twice.
This app has gone downhill badly. The offers have become ridiculous, some deliveries work out to barely $10 an hour or less once you factor in fuel, wear and tear, insurance, waiting time and unpaid downtime between orders. You’re taking all the risk while being fed scraps.
The “quests” feel completely disconnected from reality. Constantly getting offered huge targets that are near impossible to complete unless you spend your entire life online. It feels like they know most drivers won’t hit them but still use them to keep people chasing bonuses.
The amount of time wasted waiting at restaurants, driving to pickups and dealing with low-paying orders is insane. They advertise flexibility but don’t talk enough about how unstable the income actually is. One week can look okay, the next week you’re questioning why you even turned the app on.
This isn’t reliable work. It’s becoming harder and harder to justify after expenses.
Delivery drivers deserve fairer pay structures, more transparency, and incentives that are realistically achievable instead of making people burn time, fuel and their cars for next to nothing.
My experience has been: stay far away from Uber. It feels like a system that squeezes as much out of drivers as possible while giving less and less back. When you first start, it can feel like there’s a promise of good earning potential, but over time, the reality can look very different

Low pay, unfair treatment, zero transparency, and complete disrespect for the people keeping the platform running. Drivers spend money on fuel, insurance, and car maintenance only to receive insulting payouts that barely cover expenses. Meanwhile, support is useless and automated responses solve nothing.
The Australian government seriously needs to investigate Uber properly and consider shutting it down permanently if these practices continue. Workers deserve fair treatment, fair pay, and basic respect — not exploitation disguised as “flexible work.”

I have no idea why Uber is keeping its drivers in the dark and not showing upfront fares. Everyone who takes a job needs to know how much they’ll make before accepting it, and not telling drivers is a shady process that Uber follows. In other countries like the UK, USA, and India, drivers are shown upfront fares in the name of “greater transparency.” So, why are drivers in Australia kept out in the dark, knowing nothing before accepting a trip? It’s 2025, we live in a world where upfront fares were launched for riders back in 2018. Unfair Quest System – Drivers Are Being Blocked From Completing Earnings

I’m an Uber Eats driver in Australia, and the way this app handles quests is extremely misleading and unfair. At first, everything works fine. Orders come in normally, and completing quests feels achievable. But after a short time, a clear pattern starts to show — especially with higher-paying quests. When you get close to completing a larger quest (for example $50, $100, $200+), orders suddenly stop coming in. This happens even when you are online, in a high-demand area, and physically waiting right outside busy restaurants. Meanwhile, restaurants still have orders being prepared and ready for pickup. Staff confirm this. Yet drivers receive nothing, or orders mysteriously disappear or get cancelled. It makes no sense from a driver’s perspective. What’s even more suspicious is that smaller quests continue to work normally. It’s only the higher-value quests where this issue consistently happens right near the end. This creates a strong impression that the system is intentionally limiting drivers from completing higher-paying quests. Whether it’s an algorithm issue or something else, the result is the same — drivers lose time, fuel, and expected earnings. This is not just frustrating, it damages trust completely. 3 month review

I have used Uber as a side gig for last 3 months and i am surprised how much the app dupes the drivers and controls them. It gives you your acceptance rate and cancellation rates- then it gives you trips which are 15 mins away pick up for a 2-3 mins ride/drop off! Are you kidding me!!! Thats how your algorithm works to upset your acceptance rate/cancellation rates and in turn affecting your Uber Pro benefits?
And also i have seen riders exploit the app- first they will book a trip and then on the way they will add a stop for a burger pick up driver through! If i had to do this then why would i not do Uber Eats! All in all Uber is just making fun of the drivers without actually giving them anything in return- the 27.5% cut from the fare is highly unreasonable and i dont see Uber doing any good for the driver partners. Again they have their monopoly but i feel not for long as other will identify these gaps in Uber and build something better.

Horrible uber support

I have had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Uber Eats. My account was blocked after a background check issue caused by incorrect court information that was later officially corrected. Despite fixing the issue and providing accurate documents I have been unable to regain access to my account for nearly a year, with the last two months involving constant attempts to resolve it.
I contacted Uber countless times through the app and email and submitted multiple review and secondary review requests. Each time I was told my case would be escalated and resolved within 24 to 48 hours. This never happened. Out of desperation I even reached out through Facebook and X but still received no meaningful help.
National Crime Check sent Uber my clean and correct background check and my right to work was confirmed. I was told the review would take 48 hours yet more than a month passed with no outcome. I followed every instruction given to me and acted in good faith but was met with delays broken promises and no accountability.
This process wasted a significant amount of my time and caused financial stress. The lack of communication and failure to resolve a clear issue is unacceptable. I would not recommend relying on Uber Eats for work if you expect fair or timely support.

Car wash Cleaning

Uber is not being transparent about how much amount they are actually covering for car damage caused by riders. When a driver reports the damage and submits photos, Uber only says, “Please provide the car wash receipt and we will pay you.” There is no clear communication about the maximum payable amount or any fixed coverage limit. This creates confusion and puts drivers in a difficult position.
Drivers trust Uber’s instructions and proceed to get the car cleaned or detailed from professional car wash services. However, once the receipt is submitted, Uber often pays only half of the total amount. The remaining balance must be paid by the driver from their own pocket. This is unfair and feels like exploitation, especially when the damage was caused by a rider and not the driver.
Most car wash services have a minimum price for detailing, and drivers cannot negotiate or reduce these costs. Uber is paying less, while car wash providers are charging standard market rates. The driver ends up suffering financially for something beyond their control.
Uber should clearly inform drivers about the exact amount or maximum limit they will cover at the time the damage photos are submitted. Transparency is essential. They have deactivated my account for just cuz of customer gave them report that they have not received their order . I have worked with them for more than 1.5 years and do my fair job . And they never listened to me and deactivate my account and I have tried so many times for requesting a review to reactivate my account but they never listened to you . Just ignore me as I am none for them . Even I have done my job always fair and due to customer fake reports they suspended me . They even doesn’t not recognised me that If I have doing job for them for almost 1.5 years so why I need to take any order . I drive uber occasionally not as a primary source of income, it is a cry of every driver about the Uber exploitation of drivers and their vehicles beyond limits. Initially when they started Uber it was an excellent platform for drivers and riders get from point to point but as the the platform matured Uber started exploiting drivers. By charging extra percentage of up to 30% 27.5% precisely in Australia on top of that there’s a lot of drivers who purchased. New vehicle to drive Uber but Uber changes the requirements for the vehicle type frequently for example for someone who purchased new Car which is running on petrol but Uber has not put into consideration for the drivers who purchased new cars but not fit for the requirement of Uber does. Now Uber has requirements of all battery/electric vehicles. On top of that if someone complained without seeking an explanation from the driver Uber shutting down a platform On a drivers that the complaints has been advised. Without putting any considerations of the driver factors And seeking an explanation. Some drivers are living of this and feeding their children by Driving on this platform which is their primary source of income.

Atrocious support

Just like all other delivery apps their support team can’t help you with anything more than the most basic service. All of the listed issues below have been consistent for over a year and through many app updates. Map isn’t updated to reflect reported road closures or nonexistent roads. App issues to significantly slow deliveries aren’t fixed. App issues where we can’t see enough information about an order before accepting aren’t addressed. Photos and written message needs to be done again if interrupted by a new order. Unable to message a customer if you take more than a few seconds to write the message, I have to pre-write and then copy and paste the message to make it quick enough. I currently have two pending support issues where I’m asking for ONE EMAIL to be resent to me. Ive called support 6 times and waited 11 days with no helpful response. In a word the support is atrocious

One sided judgement

Hi, my dad has been unfairly blocked from working for Uber.
Me and my family are refugees from Ukraine. Me, my sister and mum have moved here three years ago, while my dad came here a year after. He didn’t know any English and still doesn’t but ever since he got his drivers license he wanted to work with Uber.
When he became a driver, not a delivery guy, he was great at his job and NEVER treated customers badly. With his lack of English he only spoke to customers when they asked him staff regarding the trip, but NEVER he has been rude to them or did anything bad. However, around two months ago he got a warning from Uber saying that a customer reported him for something he didn’t do and would NEVER do.
He tried to contact Uber and explain his side of the story, but Uber either didn’t reply or replied with “We are sorry, but…”
This left him with no job. He had and still has to pay for so many things as a father; my Invisalign treatment, my school fees, food, rent, car, unexpected expenses, birthdays, and other living essentials.
But Uber left him in a long wait and no job. After a while, they finally told him that he cannot work with Uber. Which left him with no good income job that he enjoyed where English level didn’t matter that much.
I know that this review would not help my saddened father and Uber would not reply. But I just thought that I would express my disappointment for this company in here.

Nothing but problems leading to problems with this.

What a shame it has all become, there’s no way to utilise the app to avoid insincere multiple bad users contributing to various forms of damage. Once twice three times the damage. Damage is a one whole part process of getting you shut down for $5 in the pocket and thousands in big bill to be out of work. Thousands and thousands of drivers past and present can’t be wrong (if not millions) while uber has no interest in helping drivers assist themselves in discerning the right jobs and wrong jobs; it’s like being blindfolded at work.
Then they blame the drivers, how many times can they blame the community and lie to the community, that these 600mt trips of non genuine transport misuse is all fine, add to that employment termination by the way of damages. They say damage for termination repeatedly is on the drivers agreement in the contract, that’s one hell of a great way to get kicked off the jobs site of your own. It’s time the people reclaim the roads, run the roads or whatever other job they do and really worked for themselves!.

1 star review from rider

I got 1 star review from the rider but no reason. That is not fair for the driver side. I’m a new driver who only finished 105 cases. I got 35 5 stars review and suddenly got one 1 star today. I have not idea any things I did wrong.
When I called to the call center to seek a way to solve the problem. The stuff Daphne only told me sorry for hearing my experience but nothing they can do. What even to know which trip or what happened. And they didn’t find any comments about the 1 star review. Then I asked, if the rider didn’t write comments but only give one start. Why the Uber will count this 1 start review is working? Do you think that is fair for the driver when the driver hard working and getting low range paying and even they got this 1 star review for no reason and couldn’t be cancelled. And another interesting thing is, the rider reviews will have an effect with the driver, for example how long can receive the order or can you get the order about the intercity? She said she can understand that but sorry nothing she can do.
If the Uber keeps to running like this unfairly. Then you will cause no one care the reviews and also maybe will make some driver run away from your company.

Fatigue management

this fatigue management is no more than a joke , I was offline for 7 hrs and 53 mins and started back again so the app put me on hold for another 8 hours ..! now on a friday just before the Christmas holidays I have to waste my hole day because I was 7 mins early to the fatigue management time, imagine you go to your office 7 mins early and your manager asks you to work in the night shift because you were 7 mims early .
Also I have another complain for one of the customer service representative who is the Supervisor at the driving team, his name was “Garry”. I was discussing the same issue with him and continuously he was not letting me complete my sentence and said “ is there anything else I can help with”. and then he hung up on me without even listening. we are drivers and uber very much so depends on us, this is not how we should be treated by uber employees. there should be some accountability for such behaviour, I have rung twice to get his details but the other representative are not sharing by saying that this is our policy not to share details of the person even if you hve to take legal actions against him . and we will sort this out internally. but my question is how would we know that this isnot being ignored and put it under the carpet ?

Unfair and disrespectful towards drivers

Overall the app works fine. Although if you are doing Uber as a job, whether it’s part-time or full time, you will get deeper into their unfair way of managing things. If for some reason, which can be so many, I don’t accept all the requests they send me, I get back to a state where I’m not allowed to see details of the incoming trips. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been working for years for them, it’s enough a bunch of unreasonable requests such as 15 min drive for a 9 min trip, to get put in the corner as a “naughty” driver and so you don’t get the details of the upcoming trips. In other words they coerce me to work for peanuts. 15 min drive for a 9 min trip it means I’m going to drive for 24 min and get paid probably 10-12$. How is this fair?
Reservation trips.
Here it’s absurd. The rider makes a reservation for a certain time. So they know the time, Uber also knows the time of the reservation. The driver doesn’t. What the actual F?! The driver needs to drive till the address of the rider and only then and there discover that he has to wait 10 or more minutes. And because the driver got there, the rider will receive a notification that the uber arrived, putting pressure onto them. How can you be so disrespectful towards the driver? What’s wrong with you people? If I’m the driver why I cannot know the time of the reservation?
If I wouldn’t be broke I would sue you!
Hope that someone like Musk buys Uber and fires all of you greedy muppets!

Catastrophic localisation & money issues

I‘ve been using „Uber Driver“ for about 3 months now and it was an absolute nightmare sometimes.
I thought it was a cool idea because I like driving and making money on the side.
Turns out I got tricked by Uber.
For the first 3 weeks the app worked perfectly fine and I got a minimum of 10$ per delivery, which I loved.
3 weeks went by and I started to get 5$ orders nearly all the time.
Aswell as the map would always just drift around and was not able to show me where I was or just show that I‘m 3 streets to the right or in the ocean.
Which is a nightmare while your trying to find your customer and deliver the food warm.
Sometimes the app would make me wait up to 10 minutes before showing me the right address and location.
Sometimes I just got logged off, telling me that there is an issue and I would have to run a test while having a customer waiting for their warm food.
I would recommend working with Google Maps, which would fix that issue instantly.
And also don‘t pay someone more money at the beginning and then drop it by half after they think that this is a good job to do on the side.
Can‘t even imagine how bad it would be while driving customers around.
But to be fair, Uber has made me enough money even more then I thought sometimes.
But these issues HAVE to be fixed asap!

Surges, navigation, calculation of fares

Uber taking the ability to connect to Waze or Google Maps is bogus! They want us to use their navigation only but they get the roads and navigation incorrect consistently! For example doesn’t pick up “no right turns or one way street”
Also Uber taking away the ability for drivers and riders to be able to see the rate at which surging to being calculated! This is unethical and dishonest!
I used to also be able to log into the back office of Uber and see how fares are calculated and not I cannot but when I question a ride being low they tell me “based on the estimated distance and time the ride was correct based on upfront fares” but they do not consider sitting in traffic for extended time above normal and do not increase the fare unless you argue with them why they should. They also never give you the breakdown of how the fare was calculated and if they do there is no where for Drivers to actually double check it is correct

Updates make it worse

Nothing more annoying than an update that makes things worse or more difficult. Uber always tell us to confirm the drop-off spot as soon as the passenger gets in the car. In the past, the app would immediately show you the final drop off spot as soon as you start at the job, so you could confirm with the passenger. It also gave the destination as a landmark (e.g. Novotel hotel). Now, starting the job just gives you the first navigation direction (e.g. turn left into Smith Street). To confirm the final destination, you have to tap the direction and then scroll all the way to the bottom. And even then, it doesn't give a landmark, it only gives us a street address. I don't know the street number that Hotel is at. And my passengers only know the name of the hotel and not what street it's in. Please go back to the previous method which is far more streamlined

Poor experience as driver ubereats

They never listen. Or even check about the truth. The law didn’t protect the driver, and the driver couldn’t say anything. Recently they can just stop my account just because they checked about the verification wrongly and I never had any chance to say anything. Everything is just one-sided and the rules never benefited from the driver-side. It is so bad. I try to appeal because it is not my fault and I don't do any wrongdoing. They insisted on something I cannot prove, they say my account violates the community guidelines because I am not the one taking selfies, which is how can that have proof because of the system wrongdoing they relied on and they just cut me off my only way to earning and continue living. It is just so bad already like the driver is powerless and they can just cut off without even giving you any chance to speak even though I am pretty sure I am not doing anything bad. But the rules only benefited the company and customer. I was so shocked that I could not even work anymore. Living is been hard I cannot earn money, but surprisingly the one who works hard to continue living are being treated unfairly and judged to shut up their mouths and all one-sided. And I come here to only see another bad reputation from Uber itself, showing how bad this company is after all.

Worst app ever very bad experience with mapping (not showing speed limit on uber navigation screen)

The support team is not wrong, I have the camera recording, they don’t check and suspend my account

Hopefully Uber will look after the drivers, some passengers are just want to taking advantage to the drivers like changing the location without paying more, if we are not follow what they say, they will give us the worst ranting and bad comments also report to the company, making a fake story, even I had the video recording is useless, because Uber is mainly listening to the passenger more than the drivers because the passengers are the one to pay! Uber can check the location on that day and time that I had followed the Uber map to dropped off the passenger which is Crown casino entrance, but the passenger want me to drop them off the other end which is more than 10 mins drive and more than 2 km, they didn’t want to change the drop off location in the apps, and they just been want me to drive without extra pay, the location is safely has security in there because it is Crown entrance, which mean that the passenger reported to Uber is UNREAL, also the security in the Crown entrance how I can be violent to them?? The system is a big scam

If you just open a friendly conversation with your riders and ask them about how much their trip was and how much you got paid you will be shocked , now off course they don’t rip you off on every trip , I guess the system is designed to be way smarter , but over the period of 3 months I’ve asked 38 riders about the charge and to my surprise 16 jobs were calculated wrong and when you call the support they tell you sorry it’s a system mistake , after a while I realised my cancellation rate is going down even all I do is accept not cancel , I thought this weird but I had took a step further to hang a dash cam looking over my phone to prove that I have not canceled one job and my rate jumps from 3% to 4% right after dropping off the first trip of the day ,could be because I’m close to be a platinum which if I maintain for a month they’d allegedly give me $500 , that’s my only explanation to why it happened now ! Knowing im the type that does all sorts of jobs but doesn’t explain how many riders have been ripped off and how much that makes the company out of stealing drivers hard work.

Since maps and navigation are 95+% key to a successful delivery the in app map needs some hardening up. Although a user can use google maps, that’s an extra use of resource
Fake heat maps for hot spots

Indicated speed limits are generally incorrect, would be great if they could be dynamic to reflect day limits.
Maps in general are the worst, spend the money/invest on the map and navigation.

Merchants/restaurants should be penalised for poor service and long waits. If there is a trend with long waits, this should be mentioned to the driver, would be more useful than telling me about a customer’s previous experience with items missing or order has drinks

Restaurants should be able to rate driver’s who turn up to collecting/delivery without a heat bag, from observation maybe less than 10% do.

Hi uber i just want to quit driving with you . But before that i let you know that your policies and your way of treating the drivers are very much my concern to quit uber . In South Australia your prices to customers are cheap but driving in South Australia are very expensive. Our registered fees i paid 600 more for a year compare to normal registration . 8 years of car age other states minimum 10 years , Fuel expensive , your jobs are cheap . Your commission are 27.5 % way to much . No surge on jobs any more . No thank you for your business . I think you should compare uber drivers pay rate to melbourne sydney drivers pay rate . Very poor.

7/10 places it sends me to are not the correct locations, I’ve had it try to send me down streets that don’t exist to get to a house that is no where near the supposed location, I’ve had it it send me to shops that are apparently located in the middle of a huge car park with the store being nowhere near said location, I could understand once or twice but 7/10 times is unacceptable. The worst part is there is no way for a user to drop a pin to correct it for other drivers. At the end of the day time is money and you need to be productive in order to make it profitable but Uber does not seem to give a toss as you’re an “independent contractor” and if you don’t like it then leave it approach and attitude. Not only that but I had one drop off today with a highlighted red pin due to orders going to the wrong location due to the Uber gps in the past, I dropped of the order at the highlighted pin, at the correct unit so I thought, thankfully the customer saw the picture I took and called me explaining that it’s not his address and I was able to get the order back and hand delivered to the customer 100meters from the original drop location, I showed him my phone and the Uber app where it told me to drop the items. Keep in mind this was a no stopping on the side location and had to drive a few km with multiple Uturns, so it’s not just the drivers this effects but the end user/customers too.

Not Driver friendly and worker friendly, Stop using uber and avoid uber all people

In Australia, there is no law from federal government to control uber. I strongly recommend all users after my years of experience and other users and drivers feedback that stop and avoid using uber uber eats and uber taxis. Uber has closed my account permenently forever with reason that another mobile device login and someone else login my account. I went to court, federal government and they said I am correct and I didnot do anything wrong and Uber has done unfair to me aussie citizens, but asbfeo, federal government and court cannot do anything against Uber. There is no commonwealth law which can take actions against Uber's wrongdoing and unfair outcomes to passengers, ubereats customers and uber drivers...I strongly recommend everyone that just for safety and our commonweath law, avoid and stop using uber and there are alternative options available. use black and white or yellow cab where customer is safe under video cameras, photos taken automatically every few seconds, and it is under our commonwealth laws in all ways, but Uber is not under commonwealth law and safety in many ways. do not risk, Uber Company in upcoming years after five years and ten years, will definitely lose business, complete faith from people and society of Australia due to bullying and unfair behaviour.

Find Uber delivery app to have a great UI and quests.
Suggestions
- keep quests achievable (anything over 55 to 120 in 4 days is not reasonable)
- Woolies and alcohol delivery prices need to go up (QLD) way too under priced.
- add option to cancel : unable to find adequate parking and also option to cancel because another driver took the order.
- when going active online and you’re driving to a particular suburb or cluster area to be able to set deliveries for that area as you're driving along the way because after 3 consecutive no’s the app pauses and you lose your GPS directions in the app. So suggesting that you’re able to mark the area you want to pick up in. would be great to set location in app for GPS to pick up just in that area.
- when you get a double order, show a summary of both drop off locations.
- really annoying when you’re driving and a message pops up and distracts you when driving and messes up your turn off because it won’t leave or give you the option to cancel out of it while driving. If this setting can just be removed and perhaps just a ping notification advising a message is available.
- also same for new requests…if there’s a way for a request to pop up without interrupting the GPS maps while driving that would be great.

Zero stars for uber eats

I’ve been doing uber eats for 2 years in Sydney this is completely my personal opinion it might be different for yous 1. Uber eats has a massive market and hype in the customer this is why there are more orders but 2. One of the worst platform for a driver the pay is around 5- 6 Aud depending on the circumstances it doesn’t matter if it is too far 3. (A) there is no real quest he doesn’t want you to delivery for other platforms, you have to be hooked to uber eats Uber reduces the money you actually have to get and includes in the quest 3. (B) 60 deliveries for 140 $ this is one of its kind, but when start doing it your base pay and service charges will automatically reduced I don’t know why. The normal pay rate is 2$ per kilometre and service charge but you will miss something for every delivery. My suggestion is better switch to higher pay rate delivery platforms because the fuel prices are skyrocketing every day

The current app is the worst ever.

This current version app is the worst ever. It's too slow action, When I've already past a tuning point the app still telling me to continue go ahead. Many times I have to reverse back to turn into the street I just past( obviously can't do it in the main road or during the day in busy traffic), I then end up have to go around to come back to the street I've missed. The rider recently gave me 4 reports in relation to the Navigation which mostly happened in this situation. It's not only the inconvenience, it's dangerous!!! I hope Uber can work hard to find the solution or I will start to use Google map- that would be inconvenient as well because it doesn't showing the rider's name and other information such as address, the rider's rating and contact. I'm not happy at all about this new version app.
The font size of the address of picking up and destination is too small that I was unable to see easily When I’m driving, it’s also dangerous to make efforts to see the address clearly.

Registration is taking ages! No follow up system!

So i decided to get registered for uber eats and as per the ‘instructions’ I submitted my documents like 5 weeks ago, there was a mistake from my end that i created an account with two email addresses so that made it a duplicate account.
Worst part starts here,
1) you can only contact them via those non continued chats. Someone replies to you issue and disappears, then another person replies asking or telling the same thing over and over again! Like there were 3 different people telling me that i have a duplicate account when I actually requested to delete the second one immediately after i became aware. They reply after 4-5 days and ask for the same thing someone else had asked a week ago. Its crazy frustrating!!!
2) they dont tell you all the requirements right away! After I submitted my doucmento get registered, i waited for them reply but obviously i had to double messege them to ask the status after 2-3 days, they reply to my text after 4-5 more days asking for a ‘Bike safety test quiz’ , okay, fair enough, i have the test and messeged them again, so no reply again for days, i ask again after 2-3 days, to that i get a reply like ‘ hey you have to get the bike safety quiz done’! I was so frustrated at point , i replied , ‘ yes I already got it done’ attached the screenshots of my results as requested’ few hours later, someone else takes over the chat and asks me take the test again!!! God this is sooo frustrating! I never expected such an unprofessional support system from a company like Uber! Its my 5 th week trying to get registered to deliver btw!

Notifications

For the last 6 months there is an issue where there is no sound on presentations of jobs even on the Uber page they recognise that there may be an issue when you plug the phone into a car USB trust me I have tried to plug the phone in I have left the phone unplugged I have turned up the volume the Bluetooth is not on I have deleted the Uber app and re-started the Uber app I have even gone to the extent of resetting my phone and reinstalling all of the apps again I have done this three times and done a hard reset of my phone before I have done this I have deleted the Uber app in case the backup of my phone is carrying any bugs or issues across to the backup yesterday I deleted the Uber app I deleted and reset my phone I reinstalled all of the phone again then I re-installed the Uber app and today I have noticed when you have the app on automatic except with the phone plugged in or not plugged in to a car USB there is no sound when you have the app on manual except where you have to touch the phone to accept the job with the phone plugged in or not plugged in the the sound works please assist with feedback from the engineering team

Navigations for bicyclists

It was a time when there were two options in Uber app settings whether to use uber navigations or google maps while delivering or picking the order, but now there is no more option left for bicyclists . If you are on a push bike account and in order to navigate, anyhow you have to go on google maps through uber app and If you don’t want to open google maps and prefer to stay on Uber App then you might have difficulty to understand the map as Now Uber maps doesn’t give you proper directions as it still gives to a Car or motorcycle account holders.
Uber maps doesn’t give you proper way like from where to go , which street to choose or from which point take a turn. It just shows your position and your pickup and drop off points in maps .
you should give options to select which maps a delivery partner wants to use. Not everyone is familiar with google maps

Terrible terrible experience with customer support

Uber customer is very unprofessional team when it’s comes resolving driver issues my Account was accidentally deactivated by kids taken someone photo on my Uber app during the COVID-19 time dealing with Uber support is a nightmare 🤬🤬 they didn’t reply anything for 3 weeks and didn’t even investigate and telling me fraudulent activity happened read community guidelines ok I’m sure I explain everything in messages exactly what happened but they only replied automated message really disappointed ☹️ never thought dealing with accidental mistake would a nightmare. Still can’t read messages and resolve issues if you resolve issues what is purpose for customer support team. Let me tell this is 1st time ever in 4 year I have to with customer support and it’s a big big headache. It’s was accidental mistake on the selfie photo by my kids. I have all the details of the person kids took photo including number email address and by the person still they can’t do anything to help fix it up what can we expect from them,

Uber Driver App Broken and Pay

Being an Uber eats delivery partner has been a great experience in terms of work but the Uber driver app is very much broken. It make things hard to deliver a great experience to the customer. A few examples; when I send a message to customer I can get about 4 words in until the message box disappears (even when parked) you need to stay almost stone still to send a sentence. (I get this is a safety feature to avoid typing while driving) but maybe adjust movement until the message box disappears? Along side those issues. When a customer sends you a message, The message will pop up vigorously 6-8 times and the way to stop it is to click on it. Makes things hard when you delivery food and are required to take a photo and in my experience blocking the map and have made me make a wrong turn. I’ve also experienced massive delay on viewing earnings after a trip and seeing past trips.
Pay is very much hit and miss. Personally it has affected me massively as I’m only available to do delivery’s at night. And relied on longer trips to pay for my waiting for a job time, fuel, and general running costs.
I’m giving a 3 star as everything else is great. Just the app and pay needs to be adjusted.

Worst customer service

I do uber eats and I want to move to uberX. So I uploaded every document they requested. They told it activates in3-4 days. And I was waiting for more than 1 week. There was no response from them till I contact them and when I contact them they say they need to done this and that and they tell I advice your complaint to our team and it takes 2-3 days. And after 3 days no response. Then if I contact them again then they tell the same thing for again and again but they don’t activate account. Worst customer service . I have applied for DiDi and ola they activated with in 2-3 days even they don’t have any of my documents. This uber have has all my documents since 2 years because I was doing uber eats but they are not activating account . I don’t even want to give even 1 star. I want to give 0 but there is no option. Worst uber customer service and they don’t even have telephone contact service. They are available only via email and they reply very late for email. Worst service 😡

Navigation problem and payment

If there is less than 1 star I will rate it
The navigation is too noisy it shows too many times wrong way, closed way or no road at all.
And when send the support the delay 15 - 20 minutes they send back $1.5 no more that. The support send annoying message and say: you have an option to choose another application.
Another thing when you have 2 orders you can’t know the rate of each order as you are the work for nothing.
Just because you have an order to that area just take another one with extra $1.

You asked me to try force close. I every time do that. is not work and I change my device to make the Uber app work but there is no hope to be that.
For more information you put a link in your respond it shows that you try to solve the problem but the link is not work and it shows this message: “We’ve moved a lot of stuff over the years, and it must’ve been lost in the mix....”
So please don’t make your self as an interest to my review and send an old link.

Poor App

The maps is terrible and not updated, the directions given by the navigator are also vague compared to google maps. There is also no system to hold the restaurants accountable for taking their time to make meals which is appalling.
Additionally, you can get your account suspended from ordering food as a customer. When a store doesn’t deliver the correct contents you press I did not receive contents too many times they suspend your account. This is not acceptable considering the customer has paid for the deliver service. When you intend to reactivate your account they send you automated responses insinuating that you have conducted fraudulent activity and that you must read and understand the terms of use to reactivate. How about you fix the refunding use in app? Or provide a customer support line. I understand that some people may abuse the system and conduct fraudulent activities but you cannot assume that every person that makes multiple refund requests is committing fraud. On 8 seperate occasions across my account and my partners Subway Helensvale did not pack the cookies we ordered and we requested immediate delivery/refund. I understand that it is not the drivers fault, it is the restaurants but maybe they should be held more accountable in these circumstances.

Uber? Hardly

I like working with Uber. However, numerous Riders continue to complain about the route the app wants us to go. But wait, theres more... often the lanes and alleyways are unable to be travelled, one such instance as we travelled (me and two passengers) the lady said “This looks like the kind of place where we could be ambushed, robbed and murdered” I heard the male passenger laugh and said “Yes it does, yes indeed”. We drove through a lane where I had to put my mirrors in to prevent them being torn off. We drove through a vine hanging through over one third of the cobblestone lane, and finally when we got to the end of the lane we found that the car, could not magically teleport in a 90 degree angle turn and that Mr Beans car would not have been able to turn there. If I had not had a reverse camera, one of my customers would have had to go through the moonroof and climb to the back of the car to navigate the lane so as to not have me sue uber for the $1000 accident repair fee.
I know this sounds a little harsh, but after a Good portion of my customers can attest, the app very often sends the driver a way that is wrong, unable to be travelled or just an indirect route. Plus the app lacks any sort of algorithm that can determine alleys that are un traversable and no option to tell the app not to send Anyone that way again nor why.
There are Many good features to the app, but it lacks a depth that could make it so much better. I would be happy to explain to anyone how it can be improved.
Anyways, its not totally terrible, I lasted two hours today before switching off the app and calling customer support to complain.

Trips kilometres are paid unfair

Dear Uber driver app developers, I am writing this review to your app, and I am straight forward with what I am saying here. The trips we do are not paid properly. You guys manipulate the UberEats drivers partners kilometres. This is a big concern. I am loosing so much time to follow up each trip due to this issue. I am having evidence and I suggest that all the UberEats partners to have a look of their pay at the end of the trip and compare with the initial starting point, and you are going to see that you get paid for less kilometres. I know that you guys use google maps services and when the information is transferred in your UberEats app servers at the end of the trip, you can set a percentage between 5-20% deductions from that trip. Those money belong to the drivers are not yours. You get 25% for offering your service but your service is not accurate. You gotta fix this issue.

Uber driver in Argentina

I really enjoy driving and using the app and find that it is easy to use. I love how you receive a client minutes before finishing one, it allows fluidity and constant work. I also love how I can place my home destination to receive trips in that dirección when I need to. I have 4 criticisms to the app. 1. The maps in Argentina need an urgent update. Some roads have changed direction especially in the Buenos Aires province, the government has built tunnels which the app does no recognise and it also directs you to make left turns from avenues which do no permit you to. I also think the the maps should indicate where the dangerous areas of the city and province are so that the driver can decide whether or not to risk themselves and take the trip or not. 2. On occasion the “complete the trip” button disappears and I need to exit the app and reopen it to do a manual reset. 3. I use an internet radio app to listen to music or news during the trips, depending on what the client likes, however the radio app disconnects every time I receive and accept a trip. Overall a great app, I would give it 5 with these fixes.

Suspiciously not getting enough trips

I’ve been doing only Uber Eats since Mar/19 and the majority, not to say all, the trips are done during the weekends. However, I’ve noticed that since the beginning I haven’t got enough trips after 8pm (sometimes even after 7:40pm), even though I was (and I’m) always available during that period.
Lately, I have been having problems receiving trips, meaning, not receiving them at all. I’ve checked with other mates driving in the same area and they’re all getting 6-12 trips from 6pm-9pm at least.
I’ve reinstalled the app, restarted the iPhone multiple times. But nothing seem to be working fine. One of my friends has just signed up to Uber Eats and he’s getting way more trips that I am.
I’m not sure if it’s a problem with me personally, which I think it’s quite impossible, or with the algorithm used by Uber.
I’m only giving 3 stars because I enjoy the usability of the app. At least, when I do get trips it is really easy to navigate through the app as it has a good UX.

A week off and your account is deactivated and then FORGET about any support from UBER

I took a week off driving uber eats. When I returned I tried to log on to my account. It then asked me for a photo verification. After I did that the app said that the verification process was in progress and would take minutes only to later say that I need to contact uber support as my account was placed on hold. When I did that the support person was absolutely shocking. He told me that he only had limited resources that were given to him by uber and could not help me reactivate my account and that I needed to send a message to uber support - which is funny because I thought that he was uber support but apparently the phone support team is different. To top it all he mentioned that he only had 1-2 minutes to talk to me on the phone. Absolutely appalling as never have I ever heard a support staff from any corporate company ever say that they only had a few minutes to assist someone.
I then messaged the uber support team who responded to my message after 8 hours saying that they had verified my photo and my account was active. I tried to log on to the account but it still kept saying that I was deactivated. I tried to message uber support again to say that I couldn't log on and 6 hours later I received a message saying that I needed to delete the app again and then try to log back in. I have done that and still I am unable to log as as it says that the photo verification process is in review. It's been 12 hours and still haven't heard any back. Uber support is absolutely in shambles and the entire process and team needs to be looked at. I have not been able to drive and hence have lost out on a lot financially due to this. Uber needs to understand and realise the lack of care they show towards their riders. They squeeze you off every penny in fees even after paying you below minimum wage.

Uber Slave Drivers

I have been a partner for 2 years and i talk for the many other uber drivers i have spoken with over these two years . Uber has failed on so many levels and here are just a handful of the ways and trust me.. there are far too many to list here. It supports riders absurd claims by blocking app/platform use for the driver and without consulting the driver first. Uber allows rider account holders to send their underage children in Uber cars if we arrive at pick up point and discover a minor we have to cancel the job without cancellation fees/ and the rider/account holder IS NOT charged, reprimanded, or kicked off the platform for encouraging us to break the law- this happens a lot. Uber shows surge areas but does not give drivers in those areas the surge jobs in actual fact uber sends drivers on ridiculously long rides through and out the otherside of surge areas to pick up riders and always without surge and up to 30 minutes ride to pick up time! Uber always, ALWAYS fails to address this complaints via phone line, green light hub, email to help@uber and through the escalation problem. If you the driver challenge uber and its suspicious behaviour which includes these examples and fare earnings constriction according to level of conformity. In other words if you complain? You are blacklisted and left to sit most of the day and in peak times, whilst other less challenging of the law breaking ways, earn and get rider allocation. The new general manager is failing drivers and so is uber helpdesk. Please dont bother to contact me via this string Uber unless you are prepared to first be accountable for the issues raised here and to type those solutions, which i very doubt you have or indeed are willing to offer.. take the response you may have a type it right here as a reply to this message.. then we will really see how caring and considerate of the law you are!

Not happy

I had another bad experience now. This 8 hour break system wasted my day. I am on the Uber app going to check the 8 hours break time. Instead of hit the side menu my hand slipped and hit go. I called Uber support team they said I have to wait next 8 hours to go back online as they can’t help. She also mentioned thus is common mistakes nowadays driver doing. I question if it’s common mistake why they not fixing as I am loose my day income because of this Go sign front of the screen. I am really disappointed with the service I am having with Uber now. They said they have more support Center and green light hub but no one can help anyone anyway.
I also agree with the other people complaining about map I noticed map taking through very tiny street where driver may cause damage on his car. Road sign not update. One occasion I got fine for no right turn. It was very sunny day I pick up customer and as soon I start driving out from his building the road is changed to one way only. But I couldn’t see the sign as I had things down to protect the sun shine I just followed the map directions. Not happy at all.

Change ‘online’ time back to ‘driving’ time pleasssseeee

This app was wonderful for the past two years I have been doing UberEats until recently when they updated the app, it has become useless and not worth it anymore.
I am a full-time student studying and working UberEats to help fund my uni expenses. I used to do Uber in the early mornings before my class or after uni in the afternoon. Somedays when I rest throughout the day, I open Uber during the night and get few orders.
Recently after the new update, they have changed the 12hr ‘driving’ time limit to 12hrs ‘online’ time limit. In the past few weeks after the update I am only getting 1-3 order during these 12hrs online time, they the app goes offline for 8hrs. By the morning time when it goes back online i am already at uni. Instead of counting the ‘driving’ time used to make these 1-3 orders like before and keeping me online to receive new orders it counts the time the app was ‘online ‘ regardless if i was resting or if I was at home. This is soo inconvenient and useless. Now I can’t make money on it as before and therefore I am forced to quit Uber and find another job.

Bad notifications, too easy to cancel and weird directions

1. Biggest issue I have with this app is when you get offered a 2 pickup trip from the same restaurant, but if your phone was locked to save battery and cool the phone down etc., you can only accept one. This lowers our acceptance rate and therefore given less trips, but this is all because of a technical glitch in the app.
As a programmer, I would suggest having one notification appear if the app is not opened, tap on that to open the app, accept that trip then offer the 2nd order to pickup immediately after. This makes it easier for drivers to get two pickups at the same restaurant, helps us earn more and even makes it cheaper for restaurants, especially if both drop off points are very close to each other.
2. Learnt by accident the other night all cancel buttons in the app are a single tap to cancel. From a UX perspective, you should have an alert come up that says ‘Are you sure you want to cancel? Yes or No?’. This should not cause any issues for drivers genuinely cancelling a trip, but dramatically reduces the room for error, particularly with buttons close to each other on the screen while driving on non-smooth roads.
3. Driving directions shown at the top of the screen and spoken sometimes says 2-3 steps ahead of what you actually need to do (particularly on back roads). It may say turn right at the end of the street, but you may need to go through a mini round about, round a bend then turn right 300m down that street.
Again, biggest issue is the notifications but all of these are pain points in the app currently that I’m sure most drivers get all the time (particularly 1 and 3).

My One and a Half Year Experience

As many of you know the new app has additional "steps" or "clicks" to see information that was previously accessed or viewed at a glance. At the same time removing valuable features that were an institution of the older app.
For the sake of a user friendly interface and safe experience I much preferred the how you could easily scroll from the main screen a tiny bit to see both your daily earnings and the time you have been driving for. This has now been hidden away through clunky navigation.
Another featured that has been butchered is the ability to see both your cancellation and acceptance rate. Nowhere to be seen. How are we supposed to track how we are doing?
Last but not least another issue I've always had (even on the previous app since DAY 1) is the reduction of audio when a request comes through. Music is always playing in my car and it is a huge safety issue when I have to force quit the uber driver app and restart it just to fix the audio level after it gets affected by a request notification. I do this about x5 times a day. Sometimes more since the latest rendition of the app.
Honestly, I think a large percentage of your driver's would prefer the old app reinstated. When you hinder the user experience at the cost of frustrating your driver's and putting their safety at risk, due to a poorly designed update you really have to listen to your employees on this one.

Giving a platform for work is one star

I’m giving 1 star for this app, it has lot of issues. Navigation suggestions are not the best. Flexy pay was easy in older version but new upgrade has no options. Viewing weekly income and daily income were easy on older version. Jobs information are not clear enough , street info and suburb info might help the drivers to decide the job acceptance . Giving jobs to the driver who are wrong directions are common error of this app. Missing the tolls used or giving tolls that are not used is another issue. Dropping pick up point and drop off point errors , drop off is not big issue but pick up point error makes work difficult and time wasting. Rates on traffic jam or waiting for someone is ridiculously low. New upgrade looks like more data and battery consuming not sure yet but its continuous sign of finding jobs and you are online sign irritates me . I know I’m online blinking all the time irritates me. And many more . There’s only one good thing , waiting que info separately in Sydney domestic and international terminal helps to decide . Some of the streets are closed for many years in Sydney but app suggests to go through that .

Uber Eats to Uber X

The whole experience working with Uber is good but the support team can’t really solve your problems. I recently upgraded my account after almost 1.5 years from ubereats to Uber X and so far they have blocked my Uber eats account as well without any prior notification that it’s going to be blocked. I don’t think this was necessary as it’s the same app which is used for both services and blocking my Uber eats account made no sense at all. Being a rider partner it can be very devastating financially when you can’t work and earn the weekly wage to pay your weekly expenditures. That’s the way working with Uber because the base fare is below average and as an add on Uber always deducts a fee for every delivery which you never really understand what for especially when you’re not providing any good support. They have a whole bunch of terms and conditions, documentations and verification processes but in a country like Australia that’s not a problem and can be done within days. Despite repeated calls to the support team, as that’s the only way to reach for help, none has yet helped to solve the problem and it’s been over a week now. Don’t know what the new head of Uber Australia is doing here apart from the latest weekly podcasts. This isn’t really expected and has been disappointing. Please fix the communication gap between the driver partner and the support team.
