Description

mySAGOV allows you to securely carry your South Australian Government issued passes and licences online.
It allows businesses/users to validate a person’s digital pass or licence to confirm it is a valid government issued pass.
To access your digital licence/pass you will first need to set up a mySAGOV account (formerly known as EzyReg Account). Visit https://www.sa.gov.au/mysagov to set up your account.
At present the app offers:
- Driver's licence
- Proof of age
- Real estate registrations for land agents, sales representatives and property managers
- Occupational licences for builders, tradespeople, security and investigation agents.
- Recreational boat licences
Digital passes and licences displayed in this app are valid credentials and are a legal equivalent to physical passes.
Please note: All real estate registrations are now digital and a physical card is not required. However, for all other licences and passes it is recommended that you continue to carry your physical licence with you for now, as some organisations and businesses may not be set up to validate your digital pass or licence.

When attempting to retrieve licence details at a Random Traffic Stop my granddaughter really struggled to retrieve her licence as the system had logged her out. Being very stressed, and with a very impatient police officer, she eventually managed to produce her licence but as this had taken some minute the officer decided she should be fined. The system should not log out.

I use the app quite often, as it means I had a digital copy of my drivers license always on my person. When I switched over my handset to a new model it stopped working, but i got it back working after deleting the app and reinstalling it. This app will allow you to access you MySAGov account from the app, which is helpful.

This app has again lost all my licences and regos. Trying to reset has sent me around in circles for hours with trying to reset passwords, using different email addresses, only to have message saying, email exists, password incorrect even when resetting new password.

Where has all the money gone? The “App” is extremely glitchy - when it works. Password resets are impossible, even when one takes the time to visit Services SA, they cannot do anything to help despite their best efforts. From an IT standpoint the “App” is a joke.
Every single time it asks me to login, it just takes me around in circles until it seems to “have had its fun”! Completely nonsensical operation, whom did you hire? Empirically not anyone versed in coding!! It is an embarrassment to our great State & should be overhauled by a competent - not corrupt - team. I am annoyed and disgusted!! Most people I know never bothered to check-in because they were sick of holding up lines just because a Statutory Government App doesn’t work!!

Absolutely useless if the thing that is supposed to allow you to access your Drivers License on the go is constantly logging you out and then takes several minutes of fiddling and error messages to get it to log you in again, by which point the person who has asked to see your license probably about wants to kill you.
If I’ve logged in an set up a pin, why then does it ask me to log in again and set up the pin literally an hour later.

This app is now totally unusable. It says I have to log in with mySAGOV, which I do. I then get a message saying I am already logged in am I get returned to the page saying I have to log in with mySAGOV. I must say that this app is a fair representation of SA government services generally.

I thought this was a GREAT app before the COVID check in started hogging screen space. Seriously, the last time we had to use this feature was more than a year ago so shouldn’t that indicate this feature is now obsolete?
Now the VACCINATION STATUS, what??
I’m not participating in this vaccination nonsense, so why is it ALSO hogging my screen “real estate”? It’s another form of “proof” that is now becoming unnecessary.
If you insist on having these two “features” perhaps they could be hidden and accessed by a button or menu entry?
I’m also somewhat annoyed that only my “current” vehicles are now listed in the registration details, I thought it was a lovely feature in the earlier versions, that I could access the details of vehicles previously registered to my name! I would love to see this feature return, as at least one of those vehicles is awaiting re-registration.
Also annoying is the fact that the license feature regularly requires me to login again, not something I delight in doing out on the road in front of a Police Officer!!

Yeah so I try log back into myGov after it kicked me out and then I try to do the two step authentication process and then my App Store says can’t connect so there is actually no possible way to get back into my account because even when I try forget password it does the same thing so now I can’t check if my car is registered still and a whole number of different things.

I spent quite a long time setting up all my details, accounts and identification on my iPhone. Now I can’t login at all.
I’ve reset my password twice and it still doesn’t recognize me. And of course you can’t use any of the same passwords as it remembers your previous ones. So now I have a new password that I’ll never be able to remember and I still can’t login.

The latest version of this app is awful.
I am one of the volunteers providing tech services at the Yorketown Community Hub and thanks again to the dreadful implementation of this app we have been once again been swamped with people seeking assistance to get it working.
A high majority of our clients are elderly and not particularly tech literate.
The online instructions tell the user to download an “Authenticator”. There is no explanation of what an Authenticator is or how it can be obtained, nor any recommendation for the uninitiated of which to use. The default Apple Authenticator comes with a $50/annum price tag.
The requirement to visit a Service SA location to reset and use a different Authenticator is yet another very poor decision by the developers that greatly disadvantages rural and remote users.
In future do some real user lab testing of your application and pay particular attention to elderly and regional users.

Before I recently updated my IOS as well as the SA COVID App, I used to be able to turn on my camera from Lock Screen and when I went to check in, the camera would automatically take me to the app. Now that I’ve updated it doesn’t do that. It comes up with a link that has to be pressed to do that. Can this be rectified or is there a setting that needs adjusting on my phone?

We seem to be getting logged out of the app repeatedly since the introduction of the Covid vaccine certificate.
This is a little annoying.
If it is because of software updates, you should include a message for the user.

Finally after hours of searching, I’ve found a check in app more useless than Queensland’s. I’ve tried all the check in apps around the country and this was by far the most frustrating one to add my covid immunisation record to. First, log into to the Medicare app and share the certificate to mySA GOV. Next add your Medicare details, IN FULL to the mySA app (despite coming from the Medicare app) and submit. Then be asked to download the Medicare app (you know the one that was just open) and open it. In the Medicare app, navigate back to the share certificate screen and share it Again to MySA. Wait while the app processes the certificate, freezes and try all over again. Finally worked after the third time.

I use this app to checkin to many places my husband and I go.
Recently we had to use the Victorian check in app which allows a couple to check another person in with the one checkin scan.
Why can’t we have this option added to the South Australian app?
It was so much easier when my husband forgets his phone or crowded placed to just have 1 person scan an move on.

Nervous users with small screens won’t know to scroll and won’t complete check in because the ‘check-in’ button is frequently completely hidden below the bottom edge of the screen. Items in the top ⅔ of the screen could easily be compressed or the button could be promoted
Also, your app support button here in the App Store just takes you to the app🤦🏻‍♂️

This app still after months of use often presents on checking in - “want to check in at the same checkin?”. In some cases thus does not go away. In some cases it does go away allowing for a new check in to proceed. If it does not go away then there is nothing to be done, especially if you are standing in a queue.
There have been cases where in a shopping mall because of constraints I have entered shop after shop and checked in on the “last” checkin, even though it is stuck on the “wrong” first checkin.
Now that I have the COVID-19 certificate on the app the checkin button has to be scrolled down to before you can say yes to checkin.

A pox upon the designers. Spent the last 90 mins going around in circles of authentication and still can’t see the COVID vax cert I shared with the app. It does show 2 vehicles I no longer have though. Also, can the forgot password page default the email address you were just trying? And could the reset email you send be formatted less junky so it finds an inbox? And could the date of birth datefinder not default to today, or are you expecting newborns to register immediately? Works ace for checkins, I’ll give you that, but woe betide a user who needs to log in.

My husband and elderly father don’t have data access on their mobile phones, and so whenever I go shopping or to appointments with either of them, they have to sign in manually. If I use my app to sign them in, then the next time I sign myself in anywhere, I have to enter my details in all over again (a bit hard when I don’t have my reading glasses on me!). When travelling recently in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, I was able to add extra people to their check-in apps — whenever I used their apps, I could simply tick a box to include whichever person was accompanying me. I only had to enter our details once. It was so quick and easy! PLEASE can this facility be added to the SA app?

Handy app for SA residents that enables the storing and easy retrieval of essential documentation such as drivers licence ect and also a pretty reliable QR reader for contact tracing if needed, however it doesn’t provide a history of visitations apart from the last check in. The Queensland App provides a comprehensive history of past check ins that is handy for the interstate traveller, particularly in times when one is asked if they’ve been in a particular spot with in the last 14 days or so.

The new vaccination reminder is super annoying. It changes the spacing of the app making it less easy to use. I already have my vaccination, I want an option to hide the reminder!
The digital license would be handy to have but it discriminates if you don’t have car registration in your own name. Where is the option for those of us with a license but no registration?

Open Last Check-in causes confusion

My mother who is aged 80 has difficulty using the covid check-in feature due to the location of the Open Last Check-in button. When she opens the app and taps on the blue button at the bottom COVID SAfe Check-in and the scanning square then opens, she is automatically tapping the white button at the bottom next which is the Open Last Check-in. This is where she comes unstuck as the last place she was at pops up and she’s unsure what to do next. Even after experiencing this same confusion multiple times she is unable to avoid being stumped at this stage. If the Open Last Check-in button location was moved (say the above the square) I don’t think she would become confused at this point. Please review this design and function to make it easier for older people. Thank you.

This has been a vital part of our life in the last 12 months, having to check in everywhere due to COVID (as well as using it for registration and license purposes) but like others have mentioned there are a few updates that could be included to make contact tracing even more efficient and not have everyone panic as much when a 'cluster' breaks out.
We should be able to view all history of venues/businesses that have been checked into, as only being able to view the last place is a bit hard.
And also, I believe that there should be a 'check out' section, so a specific time frame is noted for how long you are at a venue/business etc.

Very difficult to set up with general information like COVID Vaccinations.
The app needs to be improved, I spent nearly 1 hour on the phone today with a MyGov consultant & not even she could sort out the problems.
She was very apologetic.

One more suggestion could be having a built in feature to include Medicare card or even better with Apple Wallet support on the new iOS 15

Absolutely flawed when the app will only certify for one email address on account. As a business we have everything registered in business joint names therefore all payment numbers are linked to this. Therefore how can an individual verify the account when the payment number is on the joint account. There is no other way to verify. Pathetic! We can set up an email alias as we have, but still can’t get past the verification payment number. Someone needs to put their thinking cap on as I’m sure the brains trust can give you some better options for individuals to register.

Having used a number of different COVID checkin apps from various states, we wonder if you could improve the SA app - the ease of checking in family members in the Tasmania app makes it superior to the SA app. Please consider being able to add extra people to your check in simply, like the Tasmanian app does.

No government should the right to force citizens to track themselves, regardless of the reason. Having work in state and federal government IT for many years I know the kind of people they employee, the kind of cut rate outfits they outsource development work to, and the outdated standards they use for data security and I have absolutely zero faith in their ability to keep people’s data secure.
The app is also slow, and has a UI that is prone to mis-clicks due to multiple buttons being in the same location across different contexts.

Generally think the app is awesome but having issue with the app I installed on my mothers phone and to get any assistance is impossible with only recorded messages. After installing the app and verifying, first check in goes ok. When trying to check into next location she keeps having to open the last check in. After 3 attempts it tells her there is an unknown error. Help!

This app is really good, and easy to use. However it keeps showing expired vehicle registrations, not current ones, and the Feedback function within the app has not been working for more than a week, and there is no support contact details.

Hey guys, after the recent update my car registrations are no longer visible. QR validations work great but did like having the car registrations on the app. The licences are still there.
PS Okay, found you can re enter the rego plates by going to + vehicle rego, add someone else’s car, and enter the plate number, has remained since doing so.

The app is great to have with much important information all in one place. However navigating the app is a bit clunky with no index page and a layout that enables you to see what records are held. I suggest an opening page be set up with clear divisions for all the relevant headings of information kept and which are able to be accessed from the main page in a logical manner.

I installed the app, got to the screen where it asks to verify you ID or skip. I tried several times to verify. Each time the button flashed, but nothing else happened.
I gave up and tapped Skip. I tried to add my driving license. A pop up said you have to verify first, with a choice of Verify or Cancel. I tapped Verify, the pop up disappeared, but nothing else happened.
Overall, the app is a crapp!

Old car sold 20 yrs ago still showing

All good except that a car I sold 20 years ago prior to taking up a car leasing system for 4 years is still showing as registered to me!
How can it be flushed out of the records?
I completed all of the appropriate paperwork at the time and signed it over to the car dealership! What’s going on?

Tried using the app but apparently you have to register online through the old ezyreg first. That’s fine but you need two documents . A drivers licence/boat license/ etc or proof of age card.
And.....a registration renewal notice.....so in other words if you don’t have a drivers license you’re still expected to own s vehicle?
Honestly whoever sets up these requirements should be downloading the Seek job app.

Great app and reminder system but would like the payment number included to make renewals simpler. Not sure if others found this to be an issue but if the Australia Post loose that precious mail it’s a struggle to find that payment number.

First you have to create a whole new account for the app then to renew registration, you have to sign in again instead of just doing it from the app. To renew license, you have to enter ALL details despite having an app which should already have all your details. Meant to be your own account there, isn’t it???!! You are redirected to EzyReg site to enter many details so you can renew license. Finally does not even allow option to renew disabled parking permit.
If I have to go to all this trouble having an app and then putting so many details, going to so many pages & cannot event renew disabled parking permit, what’s the use of this app???? Never seen a more useless app- loooots off waste of time & effort especially for someone already struggling to survive!!! Wish I could give it negative instead of 1 start!!

So I originally got this app because it could be used to remind me when my car rego was due. But after using it for some time it’s come in a whole lot more useful than I thought.
Using this allows you to have a digital copy of your drivers license wherever you take your phone, show you what vehicles you have registered and when their rego is due to expire.
It’s great to have without having to worry about when your rego or license is due to expire because it shows you right in the app.

Just got forced to install this new update, when I logged on it came up with 2 licences I definitely don’t have with a “Could not sync credential” error. The drivers licence that I do have does not show up at all. Please fix

When I first tried this app it was seamless and now with the last 2 updates it’s been useless. I can not log in to the app as it advices me there is no connection to wifi or mobile yet I actually am connected.

If you have re-used a Personalised Plate on a different vehicle and re-registered it, this app does not pick up the newly registered vehicle, instead referring back to the original vehicle that had that plate on it, so therefore comes up as “Unregistered”. I need to be able to have the current vehicle in my list of vehicles correctly so that I have correct awareness of the expiry dates. Please have the App point to the current vehicle.
