It’s a horrible app! It’s says easy to use but they’re just after money! If you accidentally chose your template and pay, there’s no changing and you need to pay again.
No option to lock the app using FaceID or passcode

I have to consistently log back into app after it logs me out for no reason. It is very difficult to run a business like this. No assistance after submitting a ticket over 48 hours ago.

This is a great tool for managing our website.
Only drawback is that while you can upload video to the media manager with it, there seems to be an incorrect file type filter that stops you adding a video to your gallery and only lets you select images to add to a gallery... (I can switch to the PC editor and add it once it has been uploaded from the mobile device, but cannot do this in the mobile editor 😟)

This app is extremely painful and frustrating to use. It lags, it is not user friendly, it pauses frequently. Difficult to format a simple blog post. Impossible to actually edit a site. Give up and use a computer instead.

I had spent 4 hours updating and editing a draft blog post on my desktop. I made sure the draft was saved. I needed to insert a photo on my phone into the same draft blog post so I went to the app to do this (an hour or so after editing on desktop). The app Opened the draft version from day before, it immediately automatically saved the old version - replacing the copy I had just typed and edited! 4 hours of work lost!! Not happy at all. :(

The Wix app must store a copy of your blog draft in memory and preference that when you reopen the app. This means that it will overwrite any work you’ve done in the web when you return to the app. There is no way to recover auto saves over drafts in the Wix blog. I don’t think I’ve had a more terrible experience with an app in my life.

I found the app a little too difficult to handle. I was hoping this app would help me manage bookings but it doesn’t connect my business calendar so all my bookings wouldn’t show up on the app. It defeated the purpose so I found no use for it in the end

I use the WIX restaurant app before to track my online order, it was super slow. Now with this app, even worst. My staff member actually can view my website settings when they open the app. This app is still very slow to open up, there is no extra details of the customer that I can get their phone number to give them a text for their order updates directly from the app. This app even I can’t print out the order from my docket printer. Very unhappy and frustrated.

I’ve had nothing but issues since we built our site with Wix a couple of years ago. spent hundreds of dollars trying to get it fixed and redesigned only to run into more and more issues.
The current app is basically useless thanks to their last couple of updates and the have had countless emails back and forth with tech support basically cutting and pasting the same trouble shooting response to me despite sending screenshots and details.
Feel like I’ve wasted so much money and it’s just getting worse.
They don’t even allow to have embedded links like YouTube videos for blogs in the app like other providers which is just a simple thing and makes no sense why they haven’t incorporated it like their desktop version.
I’ll be moving on to a competitor as soon as I try to recoop my losses.

Although the app has improved over recent months, I find the Blog and newsletter part of the App very clunky.
I just spent 4 hours re-editing a previously mobile published newsletter as a template only to have it not save on completion.
The Blog part of the app also needs a bit of work. The spacing of paragraphs and sentences doesn’t stay as I’ve set them.

This really needs a detailed getting started section when you first download. It seems to need a manual but doesn’t come with one.
The ability to chat with users of your site and see comments is actually pretty cool.

I can’t even get to my messages.
It keeps asking me if I would like to create a website.... I already have one!!!
Then it asks me to join with an invite code?? Wth??
I’ve actually lost clients because I’ve not responded to messages because I can’t get to my inbox on my mobile - I’ve then gone on the desk top and found them in there from months ago!
I hate it.
Why is it so user unfriendly?

One note I have is that for some reason when writing blog posts via the app, adding a picture
Will crash the app, and also the autocorrect doesn’t work when typing in the app. Odd :-/

Wix Hotels calendar synchronization no longer working!

Calendar synchronization was one of the main features sild to me for Wix Hotels however automatic synchronization with .ics files is no longer working. I have to manually sync the calendar every couple of hours! This is a FREE feature for other accommodation software providers (ie: AirBnB and TripAdvisor Rentals) however is not currently working on Wix Hotels. Other providers also allow multiple, two way calendar synchronization for FREE however Wix Hotels only allows one way synchronization for one calendar! I have raised 2 tickets about this over the past few days, but still no resolution! Every time my calendars are left un-synchronized I end up with guests double booking. Not acceptable Wix! Fix this please!

I’ve had a bit of a play around now with the app & understanding it has taken some time. one of the most confusing parts is the lack of clarity between when you are using it as an owner of a space for business & using it as purely a customer.
I’m worried once customers add the wix app they will give up in frustration rather quickly

Heads up for people who use the Wix bookings app, this recent update reset my bookings settings which meant that clients were booking in appointments when I wasn’t available. Not sure if it’s some weird one off thing or if it’s happened to other people, but thought it best to share just in case so others don’t get caught out!

I pay a lot for various things through the website and the app is really starting to tock me off! So far l have attempted to create a simple video only to have the blasted thing suddenly close, it doesn’t save the file as it goes, so you have to start from scratch each time! It’s not as though it’s a large video given there’s only 4 pics, a short description and even though you choose a different music theme, you still end up with the same horrible audio in the movie style.
It’s deplorable! Im just glad the app is the only thing free! Fix the God damn thing please! When you spend up to $200 a month AUD after the conversion from USD you expect quality not rubbish! 🤬

I have used the shopify app where you can add products, discounts, send invoices, do almost anything on the app. This app pales in comparison.

Hello, Wix I’m very angry and annoyed with this app! I can’t find ANY use for this app, when I try to make a website I can’t do anything I wanted to do! Why would I want to have a picture of a plant or shoes when my website was supposed to be about horses and dog. Well if I new all this I would have never even looked at this app.
HATE the new update. Change it back ASAP or lose many customers.

HATE the new update. When you scan an Australia post tracking bar code it comes up with the longestttt number when on the parcel it’s only short. It was the same with the last version but you could click enter tracking manually and take away the first 12 digits which was a hassle to do but I got used to it. Now when you scan and try to amend the tracking it comes up with no tracking number.
There was nothing wrong with the layout of the old app. Just leave it as it is.

Tried factory resetting the phone, downloading the app again, it just won’t work on my iPhone XS. Also bought a VIP package just to get some assistance, they are polite and promise the world morning gets fixed and no decency of a call back from the technical despite numerous messages left with frontline operators.

I use the app to view and fulfill orders from my store and I am have issues doing so in the last few weeks. Also the notification number will not go when all notifications have been checked which is annoying to think I have an unvisited order.
When is afterpay going to be available on Wix. It’s so frustrating. I’m going to switch to shopify just to get afterpay.

I am sure this app is very powerful but it’s complexity is not user friendly. It would be good to be able to just ask a question instead of scrolling through dozens and dozens of ‘tips’ which don’t necessarily cover my problem. I am time poor and this is frustrating. I am having a problem with notifications. You need to be able to trust the notifications if an app is going to be useful. I have a constant 1 notification and I have searched everywhere on the app to find what it is notifying me about and I simply cannot find it. It has masked actual notifications too. This app tends to be too complicated to be hugely useful in our busy world and one cannot even edit one’s website from it. I’m sure it is a good app if I only had time to play with it more.
