Home Assistant Companion requires an iPhone running iOS 10.3 or later and a configured Home Assistant instance. The instance must use Home Assistant Cloud or be accessible from the Internet and secured with a valid, non self-signed, SSL certificate for location tracking. Basic notifications work without external access.

- Support for iOS 14, especially around Local Network permissions.

HA 0.115 STUFF
- Add automatic syncing of Actions, defined in the configuration yaml.
- Add support for Tag configuration.
- Update Material Design Icons to v5.5.55.
ZONES
- Fix a case where entering a zone would inconsistently fail due to accuracy.
- Improve handling of passive zones, especially beacon zones.
- Fire events when entering and existing zones, for some automation cases.
BUG FIXES
- Fix database error for duplicate notification categories.
- Fix crash deleting Actions, deletes Scene Action when Scene is deleted.
- Fix links containing %20 not opening in Chrome & Firefox.
- Fix exporting logs producing extra disk usage.
- Fix device name in events when overridden.
- Fix some cases where connection settings get lost or incorrectly adjusted.
- Fix not automatically enabling Cloud for External Access when setting up.
- Fix some issues with editing settings for Apple Watch Complications.

Fails to Load on iPad Pro
Hit the continue button then nothing ... so nice loading screen ... does nothing useful after that ....

Crashes on start
iPhone 11 with iOS 13.5, and it just crashes on start after a first time install. Never starts after force quit or attempting to reinstall.

Breaking changes, poorly communicated
I'm sure this is a great app, and once I finish changing the configuration on my server, I guess I'll find out.
Having to add a new component and only discovering this when authentication fails is not great. Not auto-detecting my HA install is not great. Not supporting the url forwarding that would let me use this outside my home is not great.
But once I've updated my HA config, I'll see what the app is like I guess, since I can't roll back.

OK but doesn’t save IP address and password
Refuses to believe my hassbian IP and password is in the correct format, and won’t save it (though it will connect just fine - go figure). As I have to manually enter the IP and password every time I connect, its kind of useless.

Crashes instantly on start
Re-installed several times but no joy. Forums suggested starting in flight mode, and sure enough it loads. However, when I enter my home assistant address and password it won’t let me save it without a network connection - and turning that on crashes the app. That’s a pretty serious bug.

Great app
This app is greet and doesn’t leave you wanting much!
3D Touch actions would be fantastic on the app’s icon for quick actions (like unlocking a door), a widget would be nice so you could easily see some statuses or whatever.
