I travel for work and often have flights booked via various travel agencies. These are often group bookings. I can add booked flights to my flights to my app but somehow it’s doesn’t link to my velocity despite the app having my velocity account active. Why?? When trying to edit guest details where you can add velocity number it’s buggy and wants you to edit everyone’s flight in the booking not just a single guest. I want to edit 1 person only not everyone in the group.

The app does almost nothing mostly, except open the in app browser and take you to the website. You’d be better off with a bookmark and using a decent browser.
I kept the app so I would get notifications about gate changes and flight delays, because they are so common that you should expect them to happen, but it didn’t even do that properly. My last flight was delayed by 4 hours, not a single notification in that time.

Not sure why everyone in hating on the app so much. I’ve had a great experience, it shows my trips even when booked through different payment sources, personal and corporate travel and the interface even managed some splits and adjustments that have happened due to shifts in travel plans.
Updated within minutes sometimes of getting off the phone after adjusting my flights.

4 password resets in 4 years because it keeps logging me out on the iPhone after about 12 months. and even though I have save the pw on the phone, it tells me it’s wrong. So I have emailed myself the new password and copy and paste pw from the email, and it still tells me it’s wrong and I have to reset it yet again.

Defeats the object of having an app if all it is is a shell to just load browser content. I may as well just use the browser itself as that renders the content better.
Here’s an idea, how about you develop the app like a real app and bake-in functionality? All you have to do is look at any other travel app out there to see how vastly different the experience is between rendering browser content like you do or have data download into baked-in app content.

I downloaded this because I’m doing a bit of travelling, and find it really hard to navigate and use. I check in for flights, but can’t find the boarding passes anywhere. There are different ways to choose seats, sometimes it remembers them, sometimes it doesn’t. I am logged in as a Velocity member, but I have to enter my number and password again, even though it shows my initials as my id. Makes it hard to think along the lines of choosing a different airline apart from the major carrier,.

Trying to move seats on app constantly stats an error occurred with a covid world everything needs to be done online because no staff to help and the app doesn’t work correctly or only sometimes it works. Very glitchy and temperamental. Struggles to find my bookings despite my velocity number attached and flight checked in.
I fly every week and use the app a lot so get a lot of chances to test it out - unfortunately there is far too many times this works as it should. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Sick to death of this app. Contact support and they ask you to email direct to their support email. Never hear anything back. App still doesn’t work properly. Virgin is happy to take your money however their support is beyond a joke.

Can select flight ( destination, date and time ) hit continue and price at top changes from green with a tick to red with a shopping cart. Can continue to passenger details, selecting seat and payment details and ending with ticking agree to t&c’s but price remains in red with shopping cart. does not finalise booking. ( no charge to cc either, confirming booking not finalised ) Never have had this issue until the last week, always able to book via app. Very frustrating!! What is the issue??

Even Your backend developers try to block this app from attempting to check in, select seats, view the itinerary, or simply show a boarding pass; because they know it’ll mess up the databases if the hopeless app even attempted to communicate with the actual mission-critical reservation system.
No worries though. The app logs you out frequently and randomly enough; so you can’t even try to do any of the above anyways.
The best is when it logs you out as you’re trying to board the plane..... and now your electronic boarding pass is gone, and you can’t remember your password to re-login as you’re literally standing at the front of the line.

The app lets logins time out. Which would not be a big deal if, like any half decent iOS app, it used face ID to log in. It doesn't.
This is very annoying, I can't remember hundreds of passwords, and neither can the developers. The announcement I just received, that the velocity number will no longer be on the boarding pass and I need to show the velocity ID on the app, makes things worse.

Much less reliable than the Qantas app, often freezes and crashes when trying to load boarding pass for bag drop or boarding or book a flight.
Also the barcode for the boarding pass doesnt position on the screen correctly, have to swipe it up to scan, gets me every time when it doesnt work for bag drop.
Be lucky if it works at all 50% of the time and of the times it does work probably half of them it logs you out. If it was an app for anything else it would be deleted, but its kind of essential unfortunately.
Points from flights take too long to be credited, have to try and remember a week later what flights you took to make sure you dont miss out (I take up to 3 flights a week)

Usual happens right when your about to board a flight & need to show the E Boarding pass, but all of a sudden can’t access the App & don’t recall what login password you last used! Grrrr
When checking in; always get allocated a middle row seat ( despite have window as preferred in settings) and also Gold status too.

This app has forever (many years) been plagued with problems. I like flying Virgin but your app is terrible and so are all it’s iterations. It’s so bad that I switched to another airline that had a much better app experience. Every time I return to get a flight with you guys the app has issues. Some of the constant issues:
* Often logs user out
* freezes very often after selecting an option
* Unable to select seat.
* freezes on initial splash screen (not always but several times)
* often takes a very long time to load different areas within the app
* redirects to websites not native to the app
In summary: with regards to booking and monitoring flight status and they details app makes life harder and less convenient.
If you are flying Virgin or want to manage your Velocity Frequent Flyer just use their website.

The app glitched when making a booking using my velocity points, and charged the full price without using my selected points balance. When I called their members support system, they only offered a ‘travel points credit’ and refused to refund the balance. They said I could purchase a new ticket on top of what I’d already spent at the reduced velocity members rate using my points, but I would have to wait to use my travel point credits for a future booking.
An outrageous outcome for a fault that wasn’t mine, but your flawed booking system.
Terrible customer service. Really disappointing.
