Very supportive tool

I’ve experienced the magic of having the reminder pop up when my mood has been low and it shifted my mood. Having the set questions each time brings a sense of moderation and regulation and works wonders.I can make choices in the minute while I’m completing the check up that the world is ok and everything will be fine.

A visual representation of my mood

MoodPrism helps me to see visually how I am doing with my mood over time after each check in. I have found it an invaluable tool!

Designed to benefit the researcher, not the user

The app is primarily designed to gather data for a research project. Being helpful to the user comes a very distant second, like a begrudging recognition that some kind of benefit had to be promised to get participation.
To support the researcher's specific interests, mood reports MUST be submitted EXACTLY when demanded, at a randomly inconvenient time each day.
It would still be very helpful for users if they could complete the mood log at more convenient times. The research platform could easily be programmed to exclude such data if necessary.
But no, you have to follow their rigid schedule or you won't be permitted to make an entry that day. Hence there is no user benefit after all. This is ironic, coming from a developer that is supposed to have an interest in mental health.
