With so much content being podcasts right now removing the ability to play in background and no skip ahead in the new player pretty much makes this app worthless right now. Major updates to the app removes important features and there are long waits to get them back if it all.

Hi Team, first off love the new update and First features. Been using the app since day one and we have come a long way!
Current issues at the moment as of 9/8/22;
Video playback: any video played only audio will play and just a black image. You can see the video when scrolling but nothing will playback but audio.
Background playback; background playback has seemed to disappear with this new update 😂. As I use this app daily while I work I would love a hot fix if possible!
Apart from that this is the best update we have had in a long time! If possible update the iPad and Xbox app too! Background playback would be an awesome feature to have while playing some games… makes minecraft a lot more fun to chill out.

The bombardment of ads are literally the reason I decided to delete this app off my phone.
I can take one or two before an episode but 5 consecutive ads before the video even starts and another 3-5 every 5-10 minutes is just infuriating for those unwilling to pay for First membership.
Waste of time and unenjoyable experience.

The app is super clunky, it is not user friendly at all and it’s feature set is super lacking.
My account is their paid tier aka “First”
It doesn’t allow for Picture in Picture play in app
It doesn’t allow for background audio when switching between apps
It doesn’t allow for Picture in Picture play outside of the app
Yet if you go onto the website (I use google chrome personally) you have access to all this, without even having a rooster teeth account.
It’s such a shame that the app is so lacking and under-developed, it has actually been one of the main reasons I haven’t paid for a ‘first’ account until just recently after about 9 years.

Average at best. About to delete it

Just under AU $9 a month and the app converts down to a small iPhone screen on my massive iPad screen. Can zoom it up a tad but massive cuts on both sides and makes it very blurry. Nice to know it works on the iPhone with no issues however I have 0 interest on watching it on a tiny screen when I’ve got two iPads staring at me.

This app is GARBO! Videos take so long to buffer so the vids just keep freezing making it incredibly frustrating to watch.
The only reason I’m using this app is because you’ve stopped support for the Xbox app. So now neither of your apps work, like where is my First payment going to?! Definitely not app support that’s for sure

I love the app and have used it as my main way for viewing RT contents since it came out last year, but funnily enough i primarily use my iPad instead of my phone. If it’s not already, could you please put iPad support on the things to do list (or even just landscape support for the menus/vid lists)?

The Rooster Teeth app is amazing, up to date, and has many things to choose from. I gave it a 4 star because I signed up for a first membership and did everything you had to do but whenever I clicked on videos like Volume 6 Episode 1 Of RWBY, it still said I needed to pay. Also, I don’t think it’s necessary to pay for a membership, like other apps, YouTube doesn’t tell you to pay to watch cool videos unless you want to watch other videos. It’s not fair because I can’t afford it myself, because I am a kid and my parents don’t bother to pay for it. It should be free to be fair to those rich and poor so no one feels left out. Plz fix this, don’t fix it for me, but fix it for everyone’s right.

I can’t even log into the app, ever since their most recent major update.
When I contacted support they said they were able to log in and heard nothing after that even after constantly contacting them.

The app will not let me sign in, I live in Australia so I don’t know if this problem is a regional thing or not but whenever I go to sign in through my facebook account (which is the account I used for my subscription) it says that there is a server problem, try again later, so the app is basically useless to me as a first member because I can’t sign in, please fix this

This app works well and does everything it needs to, the only way it could be improved for me is if it had an iPad version as I watch the majority of videos on my iPad and the irritating iPhone layout on an iPad screen has caused me to mostly watch RT videos through YouTube.

RT first app is an amazing app overall, although I've noticed how difficult it is to buffer videos in Australia.
May be a personal issue, might be the RT content servers are located in Austin
Second issue is there's no easy-to-find search function.
Other than that, it's an amazing app. 9/10 would recommend

This is a great first members app that allows you to watch all Rooster Teeth content (given that you have a First Member subscription).
The only one criticism I have is that there are occasionally UI bugs and glitches.
Such as:
• video windows freezing and/or deforming on the screen when:
- rapidly changing between landscape to portrait view
- when minimising or moving rolling content to window view
- whilst attempting to close windowed videos.
Besides these Issues I am personally pleased with this product that allows me to stay up to date with RT content.

The app constantly logs you out and then won't let you log in again. Last time it took over 7 days before it would let me log on again. Also there is no streaming function so everything has to be watched on the phone. The problems with this app make me regret becoming a first member as I can't watch the content I've paid for.
