This system didn’t work with my iPhone but after 15 minutes on the phone to the 1800 number my service was canceled with no cancellation fee. Poor that the service doesn’t work but glad with how they handled it.
ANZ will tell you this works with an iPhone XS Max.
It does not.
It will work on an iPad.
ANZ clearly do not monitor the feedback of this technology, I would suggest going with another bank.
I’m on my second unit in 12 month. I’m luck to be able to process payments.
I charge the unit and immediately it tells me that battery is low.

Have had multiple discussions with ANZ support since Dec 2018. App still doesn’t work on iPhone X. Id be out of business with support like that.
Have been chatting with Anz tech department and they were telling me the app has just been updated. Not according to the App Store when they updated it last for the iPhone 8 over 1 year ago.
So this really means no Anz mobile payment system for anyone using an iPhone X and above. Wow poor service
Finally upgraded my phone, only to discover this app doesn’t work on an iPhone X or newer. This phone has been out for 18 months - and I’m sure develop specs have been available even longer. Not to mention the app constantly crashing, the card reader breaking every few months, and the terrible customer support. How is one of the big banks still so thoroughly stuck in a technological time warp
Never had problem before whilst it is not the most user friendly apps.
Changed to a new Phone XS and found out this app is not compatible.
The phone has been out for nearly six months i think. What is ANZ doing?
Spoke to the Tech Assist at ANZ and was told no update as yet. So we just have to continue waiting and pay the monthly fee whilst we can collect payment from our customer.

“Next Generation” - really for an app that hasn’t been updated in over a year & doesn’t cater for the latest generation of smart phones?

Didn’t work for three months. I paid for a service for three months and it didn’t work. Got sent a new machine and it’s not comparable.
I was with a client trying to take a payment on the mobile an I had no clue that I was not able to do so very disappointing and embarrassing in front of the client as I had to upgrade my iPhone from iPhone 6 to iPhoneX as it was freezing I see no reason to stay with anz as this will not work for me
Crashes with iPhone 7 can’t even begin..
I have just wasted an hour on the phone with ANZ staff trying to help me load up the new app on my iPhone 10 only to read the prior review & find out ANZ have done nothing in 9 months to make this app work on the most current iPhone. The staff didn’t even know this! Sadly their technology is way behind & unacceptable for all the ridiculous fees and charges! They are changing my standard ANZ banking app at the end of this month to a new one that looks terrible, is clunky and irritating to use! I agree - this is why we also bank with CBA!!

I haven’t been able to take payments since my company upgraded to iPhone Xs. Based on other reviews it seems no one can. Tried on multiple phones, app just instantly crashes.
Urgently needs an other proper update! Even the latest updated version keeps crashing on iPhone X. New iPhone has been around 4-5 months now but ANZ still can’t do an update, not what you expect from a big bank like ANZ!!!
iPhone X has been out for a few months now and we received the new fast pay and dose not work with iPhone X, we were told to wait for an update in the mean time we are paying a rental on a devise that dose not work and payments that cannot be collected, please let me know when this will be fixed.
Please can the Developer confirm whether the App is now compatible with the new iPhone X? The App keeps shutting down on my iPhone X platform.
I love the compact hardware and mobility, however issuing a receipt is frustratingly time consuming:
Limited to 5 favourite product items which cannot be edited
Customer name does not display on receipt
Customer email address is required to issue receipt (should be optional like phone number)
Merchant name does not appear on receipt
Can't trace what email address the receipt was sent to because details don't display in merchant portal
So many things wrong with this app, whereas previous version was excellent. 1) I have to take the phone out of its case to fit the card reader. 2) Annoying spell check for names, email addresses, etc. 3) Requires card reader in phone just to check my past transactions (why?!?) 4) Card reader unreliable, sometimes doesn't work. 5) Emails no longer list customer name/ reference is in subject or email body - incredibly difficult to trace previous payments when you have many transactions. Many more problems, these are the biggies. Wouldn't recommend
This app needs a complete overhaul. Stopped working for hours on the busiest day of trade. Only sometimes works on combined cheque/credit accounts. Battery runs out very quickly. Autocorrect on email receipt is counterproductive. The worst part by far though is the scrambler. Makes it extremely difficult for customers to buy something! Especially if they have poor eyesight or are slightly distracted. Not good when you've spent ages convincing them to purchase something and then the last part of your dealing with them is clunky and irritating and leaves a sour taste in their mouth.
Can't use card reader without removing the case from my iPhone.
Customers are bamboozled by the card reader regenerating PIN display.
Spellcheck constantly changes Email addresses.
The app is hopeless. Costs time for me to explain to my customers how to use it.
AND i pay for the privilege of being able to collect MY money with this useless app.

If I could give zero stars I would! The old version had a couple issues but this "next gen" is a joke at best. To suggest this makes our lives as business owners easier, just shows they've lost touch with their clients. 👎
I used the old app and loved being able to do phone orders WITHOUT having to have the fully charged card reader attached. The interface on the card reader is unworkable. Scrambling numbers with customers might be a great security feature but takes so long I now only use PayPal at markets

Seriously the most difficult non user friendly system to use. Scrabbling numbers etc ! The old fast pay was brilliant in comparison. Seriously considering moving my business account due this app and customer Service from ANZ - not one phone call in 3.5 years - off to Nab or Suncorp thanks again for very little except large CC fees - K-Oz Plumbing Brisbane

Keeps making my screen turn upside down and stays upside down for a while after exiting the app.
The app displays upside down on my iPhone and I've even shown this to my ANZ business banker at the bank and he thinks it's ridiculous that this isn't even done right. I've deleted, reinstalled so many times. I haven't even gotten the unit yet and I'm being charged for it. I'll be cancelling this service. Disappointed.
This unit is useless. I have now had two of these with a third being sent to me. ANZ will charge you when they only work for one week then they die. Do not buy it !! The unit is rubbish.
Come on ANZ...pull your finger out!! It's such a pain to stick that stupid thing in my phone when I have to do a phone transaction. You have made the whole process more complicated...than easier!!!!
Why do I have to have the card swiper attached to my phone/iPad when all of my transactions are phone based.. If I'm on the road ANZ force me to carry around a stupid card reader that I never use. This is your "next generation" ANZ. What an inconvenience!
Lately ANZ have been changing things around. Like the old saying, if it ain't broken don't fix it. I much prefer the old gen fastpay. It let me take card payments over the phone which is how 100% of my card customers pay. Now I'm forced to use another iPad with the original version installed. This is so 1+1=2 I don't understand how a bank can take this important feature away. What am I paying for? Cmon ANZ smarten up
In response to the other reviews, If you need manual transactions, it is possible, call ANZ merchant and they will enable it for you. Entering a PIN number can be a little frustrating with explaining to customers how to do it, but it is a great app and now can accept eftpos transactions. That's helped a lot! I think a phone case obstruction is a first world problem and is an inexpensive easy fix.
