Version 6.2.0
Data won’t sync after last update. Uninstalling all connections and reinstalling app did not resolve issues.
When using max (2) device user profiles, there is no way of filtering data on app for the two users. This should have been a basic function?
***Update*** device was registering US date format mm/dd. No option to change within app. Forced solution change iOS region to US sync>change back to Aus region>sync. Resolved now displays as dd/mm and syncs without issue.

My iOS is currently version 13.5.1
After not using my Omron HEM-7280T for a long time and upgrading my iPhone to iPhone XS, I decided to use the machine again.
I downloaded the Omron Connect app. I tap on Get Started > choose my country > Update Now > Agree to the agreement. It then keeps on showing it is unable to sync to my phone and says “Device communication error. Please try again (6019)”, even though Ive already tried restarting my iPhone.

Version 6.1.0
It’s an easy to use app.
It recognised my HEM7600T BP device easily via Bluetooth.
Cloud data recording is good and exporting and emailing the results, with easy to see charts and visualisation is good.
What is really disappointing is it doesn’t support two users to record and measure their BP together.

Device work well. Application is a bit convoluted. For example, to look at history you have to be on the main screen and hit three dots to get a drop down menus.
Also the half moon symbol telling you your pressure is high, low or normal is not explained anywhere. It also takes multiple attempted to save a reading to the phone.
Application needs a major redesign to make it user friendly.

Some silly issues

Version 5.1.1
The device itself is quite good. The device I previously used (a different brand) kept failing and not reading. But this one works every time. But I am having challenges with the very limited software supporting it. For starters:
The note space is only this b
That big. There just is not enough room to write even a quick note that makes any kind of sense when reviewing it later like I reduced medication by “x”mg or I just finished exercise 5 minutes ago. I have also not been able to open older entries than the most recent one. There are icons you can trigger as a kind of note, but these are a poor substitute as they provide no meaningful detail. Showing I took my medication or not is not as important as how much I took or what the medication is. Same for exercise. There is a big difference between doing some stretches for a few minutes to lifting weights for an hour. I really miss being able to just write a meaningful note to put the measurement in context.
I can’t enter more than one person so I can separate my readings from my wife’s. I was told she needs to also download the app. It is silly that the app can’t track more than one person. Which creates problems if my wife uses the device without syncing with her app. She has the opposite condition to me so her readings on my record is a real issue. I have discussed this with her but she doesn’t always remember to use her app.
There is no option to delete my wife’s readings if they sync with my app. She doesn’t alway sync after using and it ends up on mine messing with my record making my doctor’s job hard. It makes no sense to not have this kind of basic functionality in the app. Something even Apple health can do.
It doesn’t track changes in medication dosage or even let me properly enter it. Seeing as the people who would primarily use these devices have hypertension, would be probably taking medication, and ideally would be working on reducing that medication over time, I don’t understand why this is not included. Again, this is about putting the readings into some sort of meaningful context.
The graphs are just too spaced out to easily compare daily results and trends. Also it doesn’t track changes in medication dosage on the graph so it is hard to see if changes are due to a change in medication or something else. Again a silly missing on an otherwise well laid out app.

Version 4.4.4
Getting this app to connect my iPhone 5 and the HEM7280T BP monitor was a bit of a struggle but the big problem is trying to use the device for two people!
I have had to put user 1 and user 2 on separate IPads just to get the 2 person function to work! If I stop regularly Bluetoothing both users then I have a database access and syncing error appear!
The old system with a physical connection to my PC worked way better!
I'm so sorry I bought this Bluetooth version! It's just too unstable for some reason and too obscure to trouble shoot!
If I'm missing something here I'd be so grateful to be put right!

Version 4.4.4
11 June 2019 update
After latest app update, after successful syncing message, new data not displayed on app. I checked date on device which is correct. I give up using this app. Will be buying an app to record data manually as this app is so unreliable and waste of time as you have to spend 30 minutes to try and get app to sync and download data.
Original review 2018
I am tech savvy and have been using obron hem-7280t for about one year and installed multiple updates for the app. The device is fine but the app lets it down. There is a well documented problem with the app only transferring the data from device sometimes.
I have installed the latest iOS and have the latest app and Bluetooth is connected to device but the app only syncs the data <25% which is very frustrating.
Devs, please have an option to manually enter the data as I don’t have all day for the app to decide to work. Also I shouldn’t need to contact app support as if you can’t get this function working the app is useless and there are multiple reviews of this issue if you care to google it.

Version 4.4.4
This app replaced an earlier version that worked fine, it wasn’t perfect but it worked for number of years. The new one does not recognise certain models in certain countries (including mine HEM-7321T-Z of course) and literally makes the main feature that lead me buy my device unusable!!!!
I tried to contact the app developer but every time ended up with the OMRON importers instead.

Version 4.4.0
This is a great product. Easy to use. I am 60 years old, have it connected by the Omron app to my iPhone and far from being tech savy. It pumps up on its own, is a one piece unit, Made in Japan. A well thought out, well designed and reliable product. I am a fairly critical judge and call things as I see them. It’s 5 stars from me

Unusable for two users

Version 4.2.0
Having the supposedly top of the line 7600T require me to solely having to rely on this app for tracking my measurements. The app does not allow me to distinguish multiple users and it does not allow me to delete entries. This means I have to export the data to the health app and delete my partners data. Finally the data in the diary is taking an average of the readings which compound the mentioned issues. So the value of the app is very minimal for me.
The AppStore description says to provide feedback within the app but each time I select the contact option I get a message to setup my email. My email is already setup in the settings.... so what else must I do? I don’t use the apple email app I use the gmail app.
I really hope the issues mentioned here can be fixed so the app which would make the app so much more useful. For now it’s only good for users who use their HEM devices alone.

Version 4.1.1
When using the HEM-7280T with 2 users, the omron connect sw does not handle the export or display of two users data well. When exporting data, there is no indicator to show which user produced the reading which renders this function useless. The average and graphics function uses the data from both users again not useful. Suggest major upgrade to enable the two user functionality. Can not confirm other features as again the data displayed uses mixed data from 2 different users.

Version 4.1.1
Good app with a couple of things missing. Not enough free text space in the comments field. Noting of medications refer only to blood pressure medication...others can affect blood pressure too! Can’t edit data- if you have an erroneous reading you can’t remove it. Lastly, all data collected is synced to the app. This means nobody else can use the device unless you’re happy for data to be combined, which is obviously not desired.

Version 4.0.0
I have the HEM-7600T and it stores all the data well. I am unsure why it shows averages, but that may be useful for others.
The things requiring improvement:
When traveling across time zones you need to remember to synchronise the device before taking your blood pressure. A single process would be great.
The sync with Apple Health doesn’t transfer Pulse to Heart Rate. STOP PRESS - this has been rectified in the latest update. Thanks Omron, you listen.
If there are any issues detected (cuff wrap, movement, and/or irregular heartbeat) this is not visible unless you click through to the All Recorded Data screen, a four touch process. Why not show an alert on the initial display page.
I have recently started using the OMRON connect Cloud, but I am unable to see the benefit or advantage it provides.

Version 3.7.0
I have the HEM-7600T with this app. The device works fine, giving BP, heart rate and arrhythmia where applicable. These are also reported by the single result the app displays.
BUT that’s now what is sent to the Apple Health records.
Only the two BP measurements are stored, no heart rate, no arrhythmia.
Makes the records almost useless when delivering the stored results to your GP.
I had a stroke, I need ALL data to be stored, especially the irregular heart beat. I’m buying the iHealth unit since they record all data and more. So only two out of 5 for this app.

I have the HEM-7600T. The app is quite good to see the measurements but I cannot understand why it does not includes basic averages of last X measurement, Daily, Weekly, Mornings and Evenings same as the HEM-7280T monitor.
It is so basic to add this to the app so premium devices like my HEM-7600T will be able take advantage off it as this is not included as a feature in the monitor.
I hope it will be added soon and I hope that it is not omitted on purpose to promote selling of dearer BPM.
