Love it it helps my son brush he loves it really I swear
Fantastic app. My kids love(d) it.
Philips you cruel people, why is there no cross device syncing of progress or even restoration of app state when you change handsets?
The app doesn’t use iCloud and being signed into the Philips website just pesters me to register the toothbrush, something that is superfluous for warranty purposes and otherwise useless when it provides no meaningful technical functionality like a web dashboard or APP STATE SYNCING.
The next time my 3 year old’s progress is lost my feature enhancement email will be accompanied by a recording of the subsequent tantrum.
Additionally, the diversity of items, colours, food and other items makes may be ok for kids who love repetition but even so, no meaningful enticements such as special challenges, unique collectables, or other surprises make the gameplay monotonous even for them.
I don’t know if you track engagement but anecdotally, once my son is done brushing he used to play with the app for 10 minutes or so. Now he wishes his character goodnight the moment he finishes brushing.
On that topic, why can’t he put his character to sleep? The menu option is ambiguous and doesn’t seem to affect his character unless he brushes post configured bedtime, contradicting what the menu option describes.
Philips, I thought you had us hook, line and sinker as we struggled to get our kids to brush. They demanded they play the game but they are increasingly apathetic and other electric toothbrush manufacturers like Xiaomi are 30% of the cost with an app that has some interesting Engrish, yet it’s more dynamic and diverse.
Kids grow up fast. A major release better be in the works or you’re about to lose not just one Philips customer, but four. I already own a Xiaomi brush for travelling (I have a Philips Diamond Clean too). The Xiaomi clean is better and tracking my own brushing progress (without gamification) is a nice feature as you can make notes regarding your oral health you might’ve otherwise forgotten before your next dental appointment.
Said skip all the time
Kids love it but cannot connect to parents dashboard, every time message “failed to connect to server”.
Tried contacting Philip’s and they don’t do anything. Can’t even manage profiles. Get your act together.
My children are very happy to use the app, but for the parents it’s not a brilliant app. I’ve tried to access the parent dashboard but it keeps telling me it has failed to connect to the server. Perhaps a bug in The system?
Overall, quite a good application. Having to type in the PIN so frequently is annoying; and it’s a pity that a company as large and capable as Philips can’t manage to use the word ‘children’, rather than the appalling ‘kids’. It would also be useful if parents could enter occasions when the child uses a manual toothbrush - dentists recommend manual in the morning, electric in the evening.
Hope you guys fix this quickly, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times with no luck on two iPads less than 2 months old. It’s a hassle cause you have set up the profile every time.
Kids haven’t been able to use the app for more than 4 weeks now and there’s no online or email support for this product.
I don’t like leaving feedback like this but as there is no support other than Twitter, and I don’t understand how you can use twitter as a support platform, this is the only place to leave feedback.
