Whiplash from the number of times my head jerks back from work to the song list, the artwork. To revel in these fantastic tunes. Buffalo a great standout for me. it's been my constant audio companion for the last week and it's just divine. Such a warm audio mix with a smooth blend of harmony that holds the most poignant discordancies at times. Truly Beautiful.

Hooray, The Waifs are back. As a long time Waifs fan it is good to see them return to their roots.. Awesome album. Gets better the more you listen. Love all the songs particularly Buffalo.

Waste of money.

The Waifs have always had a good track record with their albums, so I guess by statistics they were overdue for a flop.
Temptation, although still maintaining the essence of the Waifs, becomes a mixed affair with the introduction of the religiously themed songs. I don't have anything against religious music, but I don't feel it works for The Waifs. The Waifs were always independent, had their own sound, but they are now progressing more onto the indie Christian scene, something I don't feel works for them.
I only listened to this record once and couldn't listen again; it just felt too much of a radical departure for them.
If you're a long-time fan of Waifs, save your money; this record definitely isn't worth it.

Listen more than once.

This is another fine album by the Waifs. Their song writing and musicianship is as good as ever. There are one or two songs that are a little different from what they have done in the past, but all great bands like to try new things. I'm not a great lover of christian themed songs so the tiltle track isn't for me. The rest of the album is a great mixture of folk/blues and is a welcome addition to my music library. ( although I think iTunes are pushing the price boundry when I can purchase retail for only one or two dollers more)

I want to stamp my feet in frustration. Sun Dirt Water wasnt great for me as I prefer the Waifs Australian twang to an American one. I was poised desperately to hear that this album would be a home coming. But no. There are a few lovely songs on here that exemplify the essence of the harmonies and guitar wonders the Waifs are cherished for. But the journey into gospel and religious territory moves this more from Indie and into Bible Belt Blues. If I didnt love the talent so much, I would advise to just pick a few songs but steer clear of Josh's Christian pursuasions unless you want to risk ' a bad experience '. I have to say that I love all the albums that came before this with exception of the Cashesque SDW. But I'll go back, for I love our Waifs.

Wishing I hadn't wasted my money on this one!

Have always been a huge fan of The Waifs. Have every album they have ever released, and love them all, except this one. Don't waste your money.

Brilliant, as always!

Great return album after a few quite years. Got something for everyone on the album. I particularly like 'falling' ...really catchy. The harmonica solo reminds me of the Hollies for some reason :)

Excellent bluesy folky album, building on previous releases

Sorta sad that The Waifs have moved from the land of their birth but the red dust and Westralian coast can still be heard in this excellent bluesy folky album. It's still The Waifs I love. Temptation sees the addition of some earthy Christianity with hard-core gospel roots. I'm lovin' it.
I'm hoping that they tour Oz again soon; this time with better publicity so I won't miss out.

Beautiful Album!!!
