Not Perfect
I liked the album very much but I don't think it was as good as City of Evil. The songs are less memorable, the guitar work is less complex and misses on solos. I prefer Welcome to the family, seems more like AX7. Also, some of the songs seemed a little slow. The pace was probably the most off putting thing in the end.

Couldn't be a more perfect album for them, one of the best so far with Nightmare probably being the best followed closely by welcome to the family, buried alive, natural born killer and so far away. Great job guys, R.I.P the Rev!!

Another A7x Masterpiece
Wow! Just WOW! This album is definately one of their best. Who better to have fill in for the departed Rev than his idol, Dreamtheater's Mike Portnoy. His skills on the drums are insane!! Combined with the godly talented guitarists Brian (Synyster Gates) Haner and Zach (Zacky Vengance) Baker, great rhythm on bass by Jonathan (Johnny Christ) Seward and perhaps the most influencial and best voice in metal today, Matt (M shadows) Sanders, Avenged just keeps getting better and better. Here's a rundown of the tracks in my opinion: Nightmare 9.5/10 Welcome to the Family 10/10 Danger Line 9.5/10 Buried Alive 10/10 Natural Born Killer 8/10 So Far Away 8.5/10 God Hates Us (My personal fav on the album) 10/10 Victim 10/10 Tonight the World Dies 7/10 Ficton 7.5/10 Save Me 10/10 R.I.P. James (The Rev) Sullivan!!! Always in our hearts buddy!!

Good
Throw in Metallica, Megadeth & Maiden and you have A7X. Mike Portnoy does wonders to fill in for the departed Rev. The title track Nightmare is the standout track.
