This is the best solo performance I've ever heard, perfectly done live too It's AWESOME!

Of course hes better in the trio though, (especially April Uprising, the best abulm of all time)

John Butler in his live and solo album is at his brilliant best with 5 songs from grand national, 2 from sunrise over sea and his trademark ocean. The songs are modified to suit the Live and Solo genre however this does not take away the excellence of the performance or the value of the songs. my personal favorites on this album are Used to get High, Daniella and Funky Tonight. John Butler is a one man band and is my Australian Live Performer of the Century.

In America a few months ago JBT released "Live at Twist & Shout" which is the recording of John Butlers solo instore performance at Twist & Shout records in Denver, Colorado, USA. Today we're announcing the Australian release with new artwork, a new title and it's own mission!

The twist and shout performance is being released in Australia as "One Small Step..." with $1 from each CD sale being donated to Oxfams Close The Gap campaign for indigenous health.

John Butler is such a talented artist alone or with his band. It's great to hear these hit songs without his band coz you tend to listen to the lyrics more closely to hear all the political stuff.

It's remarkable what comes from this man sitting there with an acoustic guitar. I almost like it more than the normal JB3 album. I'd give more than five stars if i could.

This is a great album!... but its just him playing his top selling songs live and alone!.... so i think he could of made a better cd... maybe with new songs(i no that might be a bit hard coz taking the time to write them record them and do all the little this inbetween is hard) but still!....
