Have always loved your musical talent but this album has really done you no justice Wish I hadn’t heard and bought. What a let down

It has now been a few months since I wrote my review. I wish to amend what I have said after listening to the album and doing abit of research on the album and how you came to write it I found I now thoroughly understand how I was confused about it. I totally love the album and everything it took for you to put it into words the hardship and moment s you went thru

Unfortunately this album doesn’t live up to past releases in fact I find it hard to listen to the songs and lyrics.

Bold sophistication. Didn’t love it as soon as I heard it, but I grew to love and appreciate this album

I think this album is amazing! You did well. The only thing I was questioning, why were you gone for so long?? What happened??, but again, love it! <3

I love Adele's voice but found this album lacking - don't like the talking. I understand what she was trying to do and the lyrics are cathartic for her but maybe not all of us. There are a few good tracks - thinking now I should have just downloaded a few of the songs instead of the whole album. I hope Adele's next album is more upbeat as she moves through her journey. I am a huge fan but this one is not for me.

I loved this album.

It was the kinda thing you could just listen to all the way through by yourself and feel and so much peace and comfort. I would totally recommend this.

I was hoping for something a-bit more cheerful during covid-19. Talent artist but was hoping for something refreshing.

If you love lyrics, soul, growth and musicality you will love this!! I’m so happy I get to borrow this work of art. I have streamed this for 1,160mins according to the Music app so far. Thank you Adele. You’re my favourite.

Terrible!

I was so looking forward to that album and it’s utterly boring. A hype about really not much compared to the music she used to make….

Throw away your sleeping pills....they won't be needed - just give Adele a spin! This really is shocking. I didn't think it could get worse after Easy On Me but it has....much ! Im clueless about all the 4-5 star reviews because this is the pits. Same formula but mushy ballads lacking melodies. Badly disappointed. Let's hope 34 or 35 or whatever she calls it is better than this

A shocker — nothing innovative or different

Where is the delux version? I want the 3 other songs since I found the lyrics for them. This album is so full of emotion it felt a little too raw. After playing it many time in teh last week I have got to know the words and love it. I can well understand she will not wnat to sing some of these live.

Those of you negative comments shame on you.

This album is beautiful and so relatable to many people. The music that Adele makes is what gets many people in the word through life.

She has so much love and helps many of us with her voice.

For starters some songs are so raw and emotional but that’s what makes Adele as an amazing artist.

For those who are so negative on this album, I think you need to listen again, and get your hearing checked.

The lyrics speak to you, and what makes a unique artist is the different types of songs you can write. Yes you could continue to write similar songs like many pop artist that all sound the same. As an talented Artist like Adele she has given all her best and delivered another successful album by always being her self in her music.

Her voice is so beautiful, and the new album tells us a story, she has told many stories from 19,21,25 and now 30. I feel like through Adele’s music I get to know her, and it’s what I love about her.

She’s my favourite artist of all time, a beautiful women, who would give her heart out to anyone.

To see number of “reviews” critique this album resting solely on the overuse of the word “depressing” is perhaps a sign of the times in which there is a fear to delve into music that soulfully explore the emotional exploration without relying on hooks and strategic dopamine hits.

Adele is perhaps doing the bravest thing in pop music at the moment by stripping things back to offer a raw and vulnerable insight into the the experience of emotion. ‘30’ was written as a catharsis to divorce, all while a global pandemic permeated around its creation. Thematically, it deals with the grief of a lost relationship, the loss of the idea of what it means to be a mother and the uncertainty of what life will be like on the other side.

Granted, 30 is a stray from the ‘bigness’ of 25 and even 21, but that in itself is an insight into her experience and journey with self-reflection. This album is lyrically the most ferocious in terms of its vulnerability, however it is not fuelled by angst or aimed at anyone. It is a release - an offering to herself of the safe space she longed for someone to provide, whilst serving as a realisation that she can indeed provide it for herself. This is Adele at her best.

I was so excited for this album and it was off to a good start with Easy on me but it’s all downhill from there. Each track drones into the next and it’s dead boring. Really and truly disappointing.

Very unlike any of her other albums. The talking is disturbing. No soulful ballards, for which she is renowned for. Just seems very very sad. Left me feeling, where has that big beautiful voice gone…..

I only ever listen to music for lyrics and feeling.. and this album has it all. Adele is so incredibly talented, but the vulnerability is all I ever want from an artist whether I relate or not… just feeling their heart is all that will ever matter.. and that’s how I believe artists should be listened to.

Not her best 25 was way better.

If you are listening to ‘30’ for the sake of finding tracks that are comparable to ‘Rolling In The Deep’, ‘Hello’, or ‘Someone Like You’, please stop listening to this album immediately as you clearly won’t appreciate what Adele has done here.

You don’t always have to belt out a ballad at the top of your lungs, or perform a ridiculous array of vocal runs (Xtina), to get your point across. I personally think Adele has done a marvellous job in shifting the focus towards the lyrics and where her state of mind has been between albums. I felt like I was having a deep and meaningful conversation with one of my best friends who was going through hell and trying to understand who they are and how they handle things. I shed a tear listening to ‘My Little Love’, she has always had a way of capturing the raw emotions felt when writing her music.

Will I listen to ‘30’ everyday? No. Will I appreciate it ever again? Yes. It’s a body of work that speaks for itself, and that doesn’t need 3 number one singles or another set of torn vocal chords to express the feelings and vulnerability Adele has experienced over the years. If you’re only looking for “bangers” or a soundtrack you can break up to your boyfriend to, go listen to somebody else please, leave this album for those who can appreciate the subject matter.

Very slow and depressing. Why would she release "My Little Love"? I've heard it once and don't need to ever hear it again. We know you've been through a divorce but you can do better than this.

Absolute perfection from Adele

Yep the songs are nice and well produced. But I found myself getting bored after listening to 30 seconds of each song.

Was left wanting more song like the prior albums. Still a great voice and easy to listen too.

I was looking forward to this but there’s only 3 songs I only really like and the rest don’t have much melody and repeat listening value.

A album containing some powerful lyrics. Also appreciate the musicality of this album. Overall while not every track works for me, in many ways 30 might be Adele’s best album to date.

Flawless and stunning. There’s so much maturity and diversity in this album. Easily up there as a contender for her best.

Incredible!!

This is not a patch on 25. One of her best songs Adele's ever written from 25, "When We Were Young" was absolutely outstanding. I can't hear anything on this album that comes close. Unfortunately it's pretty lack lustre I'm sorry to say.

Where has the greatness of “Someone Like You” and “Rolling In The Deep” gone??? Depressing and uninspiring music on this release.

Adele does it again showing off her sultry and powerful vocals. This album is one of her strongest and riskiest yet she’s ever released. Every song on this album, especially her lead single Easy On Me, lyrically, you can feel her pouring her heart out and emotions and will leave you sobbing and heartbroken but realising after all the heartaches you’ve been through, you’re still standing strong and head up high. Adele is undeniably one of the powerhouse when it comes to ballad pop and it shows. No matter how many times she suffered in her life, most especially her divorce, this album shows maturity, growth and moving forward to her next journey in life. 30 is an album that is relatable to mass and Adele surely knows her audience well. She serves it everytime she releases new songs.

The first song released was okay. The rest of the album consists of bad B sides. So disappointing from someone so talented.

No doubt she can sing, she needs to do what Mariah Carey did in her prime and change it up, worked for her big time.

Really catchy song. The hooks in this song are brilliant. Give it a few listens to appreciate the key changes and her amazing voice control. I love it.

If go easy on me is the best track on the album then Im a little concerned. Its nothing special. Kind of boring and quite forgettable. Its not catchy, I hope the rest of the album is better.

Sorry Adele, your formula that has worked up until now is wearing a bit too thin. Same old same old here. Nothing new or interesting to see. You can't deny the lady can sing but she needs to reinvent her sound and come up with something other than a soundtrack to commit suicide to.
