I think every artist should have a right to their own music but I have to agree with another review I saw earlier she should have given this out to her fans for free as a thank you for supporting her over the years, I understand why she is re recording her old albums but I honestly cannot buy music I already own. I read a review before where someone said they were throwing the old version of this album away and just thought that was a little over the top. I will say it is definitely worth purchasing the new additions from the vault. Honestly I recommend this for any new Taylor swift fan whose just getting into her music buy this version. Ps I think the fans need to understand on these reviews it doesn’t make you less of Taylor fan if you don’t purchase the album.

The title of this review says it all. Taylor is not the artist she used to be when she first started out.

Childhood Album Relived!!

While it’s a shame that she has to re-record to own her work, Taylor’s vocals have matured so much since 2008 and getting to hear these songs sung with her current voice is such a treat. I can’t wait for the other re-recordings! To people calling Taylor money hungry or petty for doing this - she wrote these songs and put her heart and soul into them - she deserves to own the art she’s made. Big Machine would have been nothing without Taylor and her talent. She made them.

She is definitely at her best in country or folk music. Everything else she’s done is precious but there’s just something about the country/folk music she did that really outshines all her other albums in my opinion.

How would you feel if you were a singer/song writer and your record label sold your songs without your consent because it was “in the document” you signed at 15 or whatever? Then the person who they sold those songs to went and sold them again and you did t get them because they didn’t even tell anyone they were up for sale? Think about that for a bit.

At the end of the day, Taylor Swift is the only artist to reinvent herself in different genres and topics of music. She is the only woman to ever have millions of albums sold at a young age and to have an empire of fans behind her. For years.

Taylor Swift is the artist of the whole millennium in my opinion. She was willing to buy all the rights to her albums so she could own them, instead she wasn’t even given the opportunity.

The record label she made millions for just stabbed her in the back.

As soon as this album is available I will be deleting the original, and discarding the physical copy I have. I will only be listening to Taylor’s version until the day I die.

It is suppose to sound similar that’s the point! Why would she change it all? People would just then listen to the original album which means Scott and Scooter would get the money for it.

People who have written their bad reviews obviously have no idea that Taylor wanted love story to sound almost the same this was an intention. The whole album isn’t even out yet so we have no idea what is in store for the rest of the album so it’s a bit hard to be writing bad reviews based off one song. It’s not about getting more money it is about the fact that she was not offered to buy her music therefore she is doing exactly what prince did and taking back her songs that SHE has written and co written how many other artists can say the same ? I will gladly support her and this is the first step to many other artists having rights over their own music. Her quotes “I really wanted my touring band to get a chance to play on this version, because you know they spent a lot of years playing this song over and over again, so it was really important to me to have my band who have toured with and shared a stage with for so many years playing on the record.” ” It’s a combination of the originals and people who have been sweating on stages with me for over a decade playing on this album,”

She doesn’t need the money and it’s arrogant to expect fans to spend hard earned money just because she wants to start a petty war with her former record label. Maybe she should hand back the 360 million she made under the label who took a chance on her in the first place

Apart from the fact her voice has matured between the first and second version, I think personally they sound pretty similar. I used to love Taylor and her music, and whilst I think it’s amazing that she’s taking back ownership of her life’s work, I doubt I’ll buy this album or the ones to come.

This is amazing. What you can really notice if you listen to each version with headphones, the 2008 version I find can’t have a on full volume because it has that “too loud” scratchy deafing sound, whereas this one I blare and it sounds soo crisp and perfect. Excellent move and can’t wait for the album! <3

nothing, and i mean nothing, will ever surpass the pure joy i felt hearing love story for the "first time" again with this rerecording. i am so proud of her and cannot wait for the rest of fearless to come out. i feel as if i am in 2008 again. life is good.

With Taylor’s version of Love Story on repeat I’m taken right back to 18/19 year old me in 2008 hearing Taylor for the first time and falling head over heels. I’m spinning around in my best dress eagerly awaiting the rest of this version of Fearless the album, so I can remember every little feeling all over again. 💛
