Representing her Smilers with a blend of club beats and hip-hop attitude

Miley Cyrus began her career by acting as another pop star: Hannah Montana. As the protagonist of Disney's massively successful TV series, Miley released a run of country-tinged bubblegum pop singles in the late-'00s. After her TV show wrapped, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus threw off her bubbly image in favor of an edgier style and sound. She came into her own with the 2013 release of Bangerz, which saw her peppy voice paired with production from Dr. Luke and the Atlanta hip-hop beat maker Mike Will Made-It.
