Rock's raspy-voiced crooner is a bona fide Brit legend

Rod Stewart's ascent from shaggy-haired, working-class charmer to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame jetsetter began in the late '60s as vocalist in the Jeff Beck Group—where he'd meet future Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood. By the mid-'70s, Stewart was a full-fledged solo star, topping both US and UK charts with the disco-inspired single "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?"
